“After you threw it in the trash, someone might have taken it the next day!”
Ulric didn’t want to accept this possibility at all.
Seeing him just drinking with his head down, Johnny sighed, “Besides that, there’s no other explanation! This thing requires a combination of this and that, it has to have your stuff! You said Rosalind is your only woman, no one else. The child couldn’t have just popped out of a rock, right?”
“Drink.” Ulric was already annoyed and didn’t want to hear him nagging.
Johnny pouted, “Finish drinking later. Have your people found any trace of the child?”
“No, still searching.”
“I don’t have any news either. Should we expand the search area? Maybe the child isn’t in Northville City anymore.”
“I’ve already expanded it.” He was more determined to find the child.
Then he would do a paternity test.
That would settle everything without guessing.
Johnny glanced at the bottles on the table, both angry and amused.
With his severe OCD, even the bottles had to be lined up neatly. He had already drunk seven or eight bottles.
“Don’t you need me to call some girls over? Just look at others!” He swiped through several photos of pretty girls on his phone.
But Ulric didn’t even look up.
Johnny couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
“You’re harder to persuade than Lion! Nothing gets through to you.”
When he mentioned Lion, Ulric’s hand noticeably paused.
Johnny caught it right away!
“You still care about others pursuing Rosalind? Do you see Lion as a rival? He’s just chasing your ex-wife, ex-wife!”
“Shut up.”
Ulric poured more wine, clearly not wanting to listen.
Johnny sighed, “I really want to take a picture and show others how heartbroken the president of W Group can be over a woman.”
…
“Still haven’t found him. My people were even toyed with by him!”
Hearing this, Sirena wanted to kill the man on the spot.
Incompetent and full of excuses.
“He’s just a little kid! You can’t even find him?”
“This kid is too much of a genius. He managed to crack codes and hide himself so we can’t trace him at all!” The man was also frustrated. If this blew up, he knew he’d be dealing with Ulric! “Don’t act like I won’t be implicated!”
“I told you long ago to kill him. You hesitated and now look at this mess! If you’d just finished him off, we’d only be worrying about where to bury him now!”
Sirena was like an ant on a hot pan, restless and uneasy.
Knowing Ulric had returned to Northville City, she didn’t dare show up or draw attention.
Not knowing how things would develop, she had to ensure her actions wouldn’t be exposed.
“That’s Ulric’s son! You want me to kill him? Why don’t you do it yourself? You’re just planning to use me as a scapegoat if something goes wrong!” He wasn’t stupid; he wanted to enjoy his money without losing his life.
Sirena rubbed her temples. “I don’t have time to argue with you now. Keep searching. I’ll think of another way!”
After hanging up, she hesitated for a long time before deciding to tell Audrey about it.
Right now, Audrey was the only one who could cover for her.
“How could the child go missing?”
“Auntie, I didn’t plan on imprisoning him. After all, he’s Ulric’s son. I couldn’t bear to have someone watch him constantly, and he escaped!”
“You! You’re too soft-hearted. We don’t recognize an unknown child.”
