Upon rushing outside, they saw approximately twenty police cars blocking all entrances and exits, and the surrounding companions were quickly subdued by the police.
Several people didn’t even have time to react before being taken down by the fierce special forces.
Following that, three riot control vehicles with flashing police lights rushed into the police blockade. Three squads, consisting of twenty-four heavily armed special forces equipped with advanced weapons, made an impressive appearance.
Three snipers crouched on top of the vehicles, their sights locked on doors and windows, bullets loaded and ready to go.
“Mr. Kirke, it’s not good. There are nearly a hundred police officers outside, all armed.”
The person who had investigated the situation hurried back and urgently reported to Samson. “And there are three snipers.”
“Damn it! Who is this cop?”
Samson glanced at Darnell, his mouth bleeding, shocked not only by Darnell’s formidable skills but also by the fact that he had called so many police officers over. They had put in a lot of effort for today’s mission, and under normal circumstances, the police would not have arrived in time. But now, they had even brought in the special forces.
Naturally, the police wouldn’t care about the life or death of Cesar and his men. That left only Darnell, the police officer.
Watching Darnell slowly approach Cesar, Samson wanted to give the order to kill him but hesitated due to concerns about the police’s potential fury and serious consequences.
Most importantly, dozens of his subordinates had already lowered their weapons, their will to fight against Darnell crumbling.
Darnell seemed to sense his thoughts and smiled as he advised, “Don’t think about killing a police officer. Otherwise, they will shoot you indiscriminately.”
Upon hearing this, the enemies furrowed their brows even more. Although they were usually dismissive of the police, they understood their limits in critical moments.
Killing a police officer in front of the police would only lead to one outcome. Death!
Outside the warehouse, Judith held a loudspeaker and repeated, “You are surrounded. Surrendering is your only choice. Please do not resist unnecessarily.”
“Now, we will give you five minutes to consider making the right choice.”
“After five minutes, if you do not surrender, we will forcefully attack the warehouse.”
Upon hearing these words, dozens of gang members felt their hearts skip a beat. Everyone could sense the intent to kill from the police. A forceful attack meant there would be no mercy.
At the same time, several officers approached the front of the warehouse to monitor the situation inside from a distance.
A trusted aide rushed to Samson’s side and asked anxiously, “Boss, what should we do? Should we fight our way out?”
“Fool! They have guns. We only have sticks! How can you fight your way out?”
Samson spat out blood and endured the pain in his body. “Everyone, put down your weapons.”
As long as there was life, there was hope.
Darnell smiled and said, “That’s right. Surrendering is the right choice. Baldy, you did well.”
While speaking, Darnell calmly unbuttoned his uniform. “Confessing will bring leniency while resisting will bring strict punishment. You should understand this logic.”
“Lad, don’t get cocky. Just wait. I will settle accounts with you sooner or later.”
Samson spat out blood and spoke fiercely, “Although many people died today, within three days, I’ll be back just as boldly.”
“When I’m out there again, I’ll have no problem killing all of you. You think you’re good at fighting? I’ll send a few assassins after you.”
He harbored an intense hatred towards Darnell. “I will remember you and that woman too. I will find her first and violate her before killing her!”
As he spoke, he always kept his body behind several tall companions for some reason. He felt that this young policeman was extremely dangerous, even if he suspected that Darnell’s gun was empty.
Darnell stretched lazily and responded with a smile, “I’m afraid you won’t get the chance.”
“No chance? What can an insignificant policeman like you do? Can you make a judge sentence me to life imprisonment?”
Samson pointed at Darnell with his finger. “Hmph! Just wait. We will meet soon.”
After leaving these harsh words behind him, he slowly retreated towards the door with more than fifty burly men who were dropping their weapons and helping injured comrades leave the warehouse.
Within moments, more than fifty people reached outside and raised their empty hands high to show that they were harmless.
“I am Samson Kirke. I surrender. I haven’t killed anyone. I was just passing by,” Samson shouted loudly.
Samson stepped forward and shouted again at everyone present. “I don’t know any of them. I can be a witness to identify today’s killer.”
“The game isn’t over yet.”
With that said, Darnell suddenly threw all four of Cesar’s men through the collapsed back door before swiftly taking off his uniform and rolling on the ground. He picked up Samson’s discarded handgun.
He also asked Cesar for a cigarette and lit it up.
Cesar looked surprised and said, “Boss!”
He thought Darnell was going to finish off Samson with one shot, which would provoke a strong backlash from the police.
“Boss, revenge is best served cold.”
“You four should leave quickly!”
Darnell first handed each of them a pill before taking out several oxygen masks from behind a police car. He had bought them after surveying the terrain earlier.
“Put them on and swim away from the river quickly!”
Escaping from the Whiteville River was their only chance. Otherwise, they would face at least ten years or more in prison if caught by the police.
The lives of gangsters were also lives.
Cesar, whose wounds were eased by swallowing pills, instinctively grabbed Darnell and said sternly, “Boss!”
Darnell shouted back, “Run!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Cesar and his men crawled out of the low back door while enduring pain. They took one last look at Darnell before leaving.
What surprised Cesar was that instead of shooting Samson as he expected, Darnell flashed past him towards the crowd of police officers outside and fired shots at them.
Five gunshots rang out as five policemen wearing bulletproof vests grunted in pain before being thrown backward with blood spewing from their mouths.
Bang!
Then another shot hit a police car in front of Judith. Its windows shattered instantly. This immediately put everyone on high alert.
Judith pulled out her service pistol in response and shouted, “Be careful!”
Samson’s firearm held fifteen rounds while Darnell fired thirteen shots in quick succession.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Darnell’s movements and actions gave people a relaxed and leisurely feeling, but in reality, his gun hand was steady.
The speed at which he moved his gun and pulled the trigger was astonishingly fast. There was almost no gap between shots.
Many policemen who were targeted by his gunshots didn’t even have time to react or evade before being hit by bullets and falling backward.
If it weren’t for their bulletproof vests absorbing most of the impact, many policemen would have already fallen down.
Cesar’s group watched in astonishment while feeling their blood boil with excitement at the same time.
“Mr. Kirke, run!”
Darnell shouted at Samson while responding with another shot that knocked down one sniper before swiftly retreating into a corner of the warehouse.
“Mr. Kirke, run!”
He fired another shot near Samson’s feet, which startled him into running instinctively.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Just as they moved about ten meters away from danger, gunfire erupted again as angry policemen squeezed their triggers when they saw their comrades falling down without knowing whether they were dead or alive.
A torrential rain of bullets engulfed the crowd.
“Ah!”
Dozens of burly men fell to the ground screaming in agony while Samson himself was sprayed with blood as he ran forward. He glared back at the warehouse.
That bastard actually used the police to kill him!
Judith realized something was wrong. She became aware that things weren’t going according to plan as she shouted repeatedly, “Stop shooting! Stop shooting!”
Unfortunately, by the time the gunfire ceased, Samson’s group had already died beyond death itself without leaving anyone alive.
Taking advantage of the chaos outside, Darnell quickly took off his uniform at lightning speed before stuffing his pistol into a dead man’s hand.
He also casually put five hundred grams of drugs into his pocket.
Then he twisted open a fuel tank on a patrol car and poured plenty of gasoline on the ground before taking out some spare oxygen tanks from its trunk and connecting them to clothing near the back door.
In the next second, Darnell swiftly crawled out through the damaged back door.
When leaving, Darnell broke off half of his cigarette and flicked it high into the air where it emitted a red glow like sparks falling onto gasoline leaking on the ground below it.
Fire snakes spread rapidly as flames soared into existence, instantly turning patrol cars into huge fireballs.
Boom!
An explosion occurred as thick smoke billowed from within the warehouse.
Cesar’s group watched all this dumbfoundedly before exclaiming sincerely,
“Our boss is pretty badass, even when showing off, he does it so gracefully!”
