Chapter 107: I Still Have One Bullet

Book:Fist of Healing Published:2024-12-6

Every shot hit its mark!
Over fifty fierce men in black instantly halted their charge, their previous ferocity dissipating as they held their bloodied machetes, afraid to make a move.
Samson’s face turned pale, and he instinctively sought shelter behind his subordinates. His right hand reached for the gun concealed at his back, his last resort for survival.
Only in the most desperate situations would he bring it out. The risk of using a gun now was too great, but it seemed that there was no other choice.
This cop seemingly appeared out of nowhere, his marksmanship too precise. If they didn’t strike back with force, all fifty of them would become lambs to the slaughter.
“Will you surrender?”
Five shots took down five men, but Darnell showed no joy. His face displayed a sense of helplessness as he said, “A harmonious society values peace. I don’t enjoy killing.”
“If you surrender, I’ll treat you to a meal. Roast chicken, roast duck, or ribs. How about that?”
The dozens of men in black were left speechless. Damn it!
They were in a gang fight, and they were here to kill people, not to be treated to a meal! Couldn’t he show a little more respect?
“Lad, you only have three bullets left.”
Samson shouted, “After you fire those three shots, how will you survive? Even if you’re capable, you can only kill three people.”
He tried to boost morale. “Brothers, charge! Kill him!”
“For over fifty men, the probability of death wasn’t high. But for the first three who charged forward, it was one hundred percent.”
Darnell continued his psychological warfare as he looked at the thugs swallowing hard before him. “Who wants to be one of the three who will die?”
With these words, the over fifty thugs hesitated once again. Their expressions were complex. They wanted to kill Darnell but didn’t want to risk being shot in the head themselves.
Darnell shouted at Samson, “Baldy, you come out! If you have the guts, come out yourself instead of sending your subordinates to their deaths.”
Bang!
Suddenly, Samson kicked one of his subordinates away and swiftly rushed forward with his gun aimed directly at Darnell’s head. Bullets thundered out.
Bang!
But Darnell didn’t dodge. He couldn’t dodge. Behind him were Cesar and the others. If he dodged, they would either be dead or injured.
He stood there as he pulled the trigger again, two bullets knocking Samson’s bullets out of the air.
Bang!
Then he fired the third bullet. It struck Samson’s heart half a beat faster and made a crisp sound as a phone exploded and fell to the ground.
Blood sprayed from Samson’s mouth and nose as his gun and body flew several meters away. But thanks to his phone, he survived.
Darnell felt somewhat regretful that Samson had been lucky.
Samson quickly rolled into cover and howled in pain. “Kill him! Kill him! He’s out of bullets!”
Darnell had already fired eight shots. Samson believed that Darnell was out of ammunition.
Dozens of thugs lying on the ground hesitated for a moment before roaring towards Darnell once again.
Darnell pulled the trigger, but only clicks came from his police gun. It was truly out of bullets.
“Wait a minute.”
As Cesar’s face slightly changed and dozens of fierce men joyfully charged forward again, Darnell suddenly shouted, causing everyone to instinctively pause.
He pulled out another gun and said, “I still have one more gun.”
Dozens of men instantly froze in shock. The atmosphere became incredibly awkward.
Samson shouted in disbelief while clutching his chest in pain, “How do you have two guns?”
“Who told you that police officers only have one gun?”
Darnell smiled brightly as he held the guns. “My father is the police chief, and he allows me to carry two guns when I’m out in the field.”
In fact, this one was a toy gun from Kameron’s car that looked very realistic. Darnell used them to maintain appearances.
For a moment, no one could tell if it was real or fake. The over fifty fierce men dared not make any rash moves.
Samson roared, “He’s just bluffing! Charge! Charge and kill them!”
Darnell didn’t say anything. He simply raised his guns by two inches.
Dozens of men instinctively retreated. They had witnessed Darnell’s prowess earlier and didn’t dare to act recklessly. What if there really were bullets? They would be shot in the head on the spot.
One person silently followed Samson’s signal and stealthily went to pick up Samson’s gun.
Darnell smashed his right hand down. The empty police gun flew out and struck the man who was picking up the gun on his head. The man screamed in pain and flew backward.
Blood flowed from his head wound.
Samson’s eyelids twitched. He hadn’t expected Darnell to be so formidable.
“Don’t move!”
Darnell smiled mischievously as he spoke, “Although I don’t have many bullets left, I can still handle one bullet per person.”
“With so many people here, I can’t kill all of you. But what if I accidentally kill you? That would be unfair.”
Darnell tried to calm everyone down. “It’s better if everyone surrenders.”
“Don’t listen to him!”
Samson shouted while clutching his painful chest, “If we don’t kill them today, we’ll all die when we go back.”
“Mr. Swain and the Crow have given strict orders. If the mission isn’t completed, no one is allowed to live.”
Samson threatened his subordinates. “Not only will you die then. Your families will die too.”
“Kill them!”
Upon hearing Samson’s words, dozens of men trembled with fear greater than death itself. They roared and charged towards Darnell once again.
Suddenly, Darnell made gun sounds with his mouth. Dozens of men immediately dropped to the ground in fear.
Swoosh!
Taking advantage of this gap in action, Darnell kicked off a police car and pounced towards Samson with unstoppable momentum.
Samson’s face turned pale. He instinctively wanted to counterattack but found himself staring down the barrel of Darnell’s gun.
The cold muzzle made Samson freeze in place involuntarily.
Darnell retracted his dual guns with a smile and delivered a powerful punch to Samson’s chest.
Samson was sent flying through the air and crashed onto the ground ten meters away. The hard ground shattered upon impact.
He spat out blood from his mouth and took several heavy breaths before feeling death retreat from him.
Darnell clapped his hands and laughed, “You’re too weak!”
Damn it! Too cunning!
Samson seethed with anger as he shouted at his subordinates, “Kill him!”
He could be sure that Darnell had no more bullets. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have stopped shooting earlier.
Samson turned red-eyed and grabbed a machete while viciously charging at Darnell. “I’ll kill you!”
“Seriously? Give me a break!”
When Darnell grumbled helplessly, he had already arrived in front of Samson.
Harry and the others wore shocked expressions. They had never seen such speed in their lives. They admired Darnell for his righteousness, wisdom, courage, as well as his marksmanship displayed earlier. But they never knew that this seemingly harmless Darnell had such insane combat skills.
Samson’s face also changed drastically. Although he didn’t understand why, he reacted quickly when he saw Darnell rushing towards him. He let out a low roar and swung his knife.
This strike could be destructive!
Darnell swiftly waved his right hand twice. With just two clangs, the machete broke into three pieces.
Darnell shattered the machete with an explosive punch that landed on Samson’s chest.
Samson groaned as he flew through the air before crashing heavily onto the ground ten meters away, the broken machete clattering beside him.
A large bag of drugs fell from his pocket, at least five hundred grams of heroin, his supply for the month.
His addiction was as severe as Cesar’s nicotine craving.
But at that moment, he didn’t reach for the bag. Instead, shock and disbelief filled his eyes, and he quickly rolled away to escape.
He shouted at the stunned dozens of his men, “Take him down!”
Although they feared Darnell’s strength after witnessing it firsthand earlier, they had no choice but to fight relentlessly today. There was no room for mercy or retreat anymore.
Darnell saw their reaction and shouted again, “Wait!”
Dozens of men instinctively stopped their steps once more, their eyes filled with anger and confusion. What now?
Darnell pointed outside. “The police are here.”
As soon as his words fell, sirens sounded outside, shaking everyone’s hearts, and then loudspeakers blared with an authoritative voice.
“All individuals inside listen up! Release our officer immediately! If any harm comes to him even slightly, I will make you pay the most severe price.”
Simultaneously, gunfire rang out five times outside as police officers fired warning shots into the sky. “Drop all weapons.”
It was Judith.
