Since Jennifer had a natural birth, she recovered well and was discharged after just two days, returning to Emerald Bay. Aubree also brought Alfie and Diana back to the country immediately, creating a lively atmosphere at Emerald Bay.
“I’m a big brother now! This is awesome!”
“I’m a big sister now! I’m not the youngest anymore, I’ve grown up! I have a little sister now!”
The children were extremely happy, running to their mother’s room countless times a day to kiss the tiny baby and hold her lovingly. The entire Emerald Bay was filled with an air of happiness.
Ivan decided to transfer the children back to domestic schools, believing that these years of companionship were precious and fleeting. Aubree and Jennifer agreed with this decision, and the children themselves were very willing. Their time studying abroad had made them more independent and broadened their horizons, which was beneficial.
“What will our little sister’s name be? Daddy, Mommy, have you decided on a name?”
“Bella, or just Bell.”
“Bella? My name is Diana, and her name is Bella. Both names sound beautiful!” Diana said happily. “Brother, don’t you think so?”
“Bella sounds great! Diana sounds great too! Bella, grow up quickly! Brother and sister will share toys with you and teach you to read!”
“Sister will play games with you! I’ll introduce all my friends to you!”
Seeing how much the children adored their little sister without any jealousy made Aubree very pleased. They were truly good children with such positive attitudes, not worried that their new sibling would take away their parents’ love.
Ever since Jennifer joined the family, even the feng shui seemed to have improved! Everything was going smoothly; the family was thriving, bringing new life to the once thinly populated Marsh family. Their relationship with Spencer had also improved, resolving all past conflicts.
Aubree now treated Jennifer like her own daughter, sometimes feeling closer to her than her own son!
Four days later, early in the morning.
In a large villa.
Mr. Campbell and Mrs. Campbell were competing in the kitchen to cook breakfast for their daughter and son-in-law, refusing any help from the servants who stood by awkwardly.
“You make great noodles, but does Spencer even like noodles? We never asked him,” Mrs. Campbell said worriedly. “Maybe I should make sweet rice wine instead?”
“How do you know Spencer likes sweets?” Mr. Campbell replied while cooking noodles. “You didn’t ask either.”
“Your noodles aren’t that good.”
“Your sweet rice wine is even more tasteless!”
Spencer stood at the doorway, feeling deeply moved by their argument.
“Dad, Mom, I have a big appetite and I’m not picky,” Spencer said as he walked in with a smile. “I’d love a bowl of noodles and some sweet rice wine too. So please make both!”
“Spencer is awake?” Mrs. Campbell asked happily while bustling around. “It’s still early; why not sleep a bit more?”
“I woke up naturally,” Spencer said energetically.
“Where’s Summer?”
“She’ll be down soon,” Spencer said as he patted both their shoulders. “I’ll go check on her; thank you for making breakfast.”
“It’s no trouble at all.”
As Spencer left the kitchen, he passed by a servant who spoke apologetically in a low voice, “Sir…”
“It’s fine; let them do it if they want to. You can take it easy.”
“Yes.” The servant finally felt relieved; Spencer’s temper had improved since his marriage.
