“Warm and gentle, you’ve captured that wisdom and reserved demeanor perfectly,” a colleague said. “The man in this painting is alive!”
“Can you guess his profession?” Agnes asked happily, her eyes sparkling.
Her colleague thought seriously. “Is he… a young professor? He has that kind of aura.”
“Yes, he’s a chemistry professor,” Agnes said with a hint of pride. “He’s the type who is deeply involved in academic research and always very busy.”
“That’s a great character! Nowadays, many characters are CEOs or businessmen, which is so cliche and boring! Professors are much more charming; knowledgeable people have their own charisma! Is this your standard for a future husband?” her colleague teased.
Agnes just smiled without answering directly and closed her laptop. “So, what do you need from me?”
“I have a manuscript I’d like you to look at and give some advice on. It’s my own work, and I’m planning to publish it as a comic book by the end of the year.”
“Sure, thank you for trusting me.” Agnes felt honored.
Usually, such first-hand manuscripts are not shown to anyone before being submitted to publishers to prevent plagiarism.
So, the topic shifted, and they began discussing another story.
In Arkpool City, at a well-known university.
Ansel was an art teacher who taught calligraphy, oil painting, printmaking, and traditional flower-and-bird painting.
His classes were lively and engaging, with high student participation and almost no absences.
The young Mr. Johnsons quickly became known as a talented individual throughout the campus, becoming an overnight sensation.
Ansel also continued learning and developed his own style while teaching, showing maturity in his work.
Everyone found him talented, good-looking, young, and charming.
“Mr. Johnsons.”
After class one day, a female student with long flowing hair in a white dress approached him.
Ansel stopped and looked at her politely. “Hello.”
The girl mustered up her courage and shyly handed him a love letter. “Mr. Johnsons, I like you!” she said expectantly, her cheeks flushed.
Ansel understood what was happening. He didn’t take the letter but shook his head with a smile. “I’m sorry, I already have someone I like.”
He nodded slightly to apologize and walked away with his books.
From then on, it was rumored that Mr. Johnsons had someone he liked, but no one ever saw the woman by his side.
Some young unmarried female teachers were skeptical yet captivated by his charm and kept observing the situation.
Sometimes talent can make someone shine brightly.
At the hospital.
With the loud cry of a baby, Jennifer gave birth to a lovely daughter weighing exactly seven pounds. Both mother and daughter were safe, and Ivan finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He placed a bouquet of flowers by his wife’s bedside and leaned down to kiss her forehead tenderly. “Thank you for your hard work. I love you.”
Spencer brought Summer to the hospital to share in the joy.
In the best hospital room, Jennifer looked at the tiny person beside her with a radiant smile that now carried an added maternal glow.
“Spencer, Summer, when will you have good news to share with us?” Jennifer asked gently, looking expectantly at the newlyweds.
Summer smiled brightly and held Spencer’s hand tightly. “We’re trying too; we came here to catch some of your good luck and hope to complete this important life event soon.”
Spencer was also very happy to have married the woman he loved dearly. His heart was now completely devoted to her and his work.
He became an excellent husband and son-in-law, treating Mr. Campbell and Mrs. Campbell very well, perfectly embodying what it means to love someone wholeheartedly.
