“You stupid incompetent fools!” Calix lashed out, pacing the large space angrily while the group of men that surrounded him bowed their heads in shame.
“You had one job, bring me the girl. But you fucked up, even when she was with her sister. How could she slip off your hands despite being weak from the traumas she experienced that day?! The presence of her sister should slow her down, yet you couldn’t catch up with them.”
“It’s you disgraceful fools that keep making my father see me as his worthless son. Tasks are delegated to you, yet you failed.”
He swallowed, punching the wall hard and droplets of blood appeared on his red fists.
None of the men dared look him in the eye as he was ready to pounce on the scapegoat that dared it.
“It’s been 5 years since she left. Today is her mother’s remembrance, and rumours got to me that she will attend and stay here for a short time,” he stopped to draw a sharp breath, scratching the bridge of his nose as he ground his teeth.
“She is an easy target now since she isn’t under the Alpha’s protection and she means nothing to him now.” A victorious smile appeared on his lips as his mind was trapped in his imagination.
“The plan is to kidnap her and sell her off to Rodrigo, our highest-paying customer. Her sister, Rose, is a bonus to us. We will do whatever we like, and depending on how sexy she is, we could sell her.” He released an evil deafening laughter before everywhere became silent.
“Anyone that tries to rescue her or plays the hero will go 6 feet under. Are we clear?” He asked, pausing to hear their chorus agreement.
“Yes, boss.”
“We need to get her back by all means or Rodrigo and our potential customers will pull out of the deal, making our rival beat us at our own game. That won’t happen under my watch.”
“My father would disown me.” He muttered quietly enough for only his ears.
“You all are given 3 days to find her. Not a scratch must be on her body. No one takes advantage of her.” He warned, narrowing his eyes strictly.
“3 days or you all will drop dead mysteriously!”

We walked out of the airport with smiles on our faces.
Finally, I was in a place I once called home.
A place that reminded me of pain and sadness.
A place that took everything from me and left me with almost nothing.
While Rose held Liam’s dainty hands as they navigated their way through the sea of crowds while searching for Daphne, I halted, connecting my eyes to the clear sky and inhaling the city’s air.
Shutting my eyes, I let the gush of air slip inside my lungs, calming me and making a sense of belonging hit me.
I missed being here, unfortunately, it was filled with bitter memories.
I decided I would stay for 3 days before leaving.
“Lily!” I heard my name amongst the sea of crowds scattered at the entrance of the airport.
Tucking the strap of my bag on my shoulder, I lifted my eyes, trailing the origin of the voice.
My eyes shone in excitement as I locked my gaze with Daphne, who couldn’t help but jump while waving her fingers in the air so that I could single her out amid the crowd.
Directing Rose and Liam to Daphne’s direction, I rushed to meet her, collapsing in her embrace.
My heart warmed with joy as Daphne and I exchanged pleasantries.
“Hey, Champ!” She called, giving Liam a high 5 as she carried in, throwing him in the air before releasing him and panting.
“Wow. You are big now, unlike before when you were a bit little whenever we did video calls,” she teased him, rustling her fingers against his wavy hair.
Despite Daphne not seeing Liam, I told her all that happened during the past 5 years and she apologized for introducing me to the platform that ruined my perfect relationship.
Although I told her it wasn’t her fault since she wanted to assist in telling me how to source funds, especially when my life was in danger and I was given less time.
She still feels she had a part of it and promised to make it up to me.
Several times, she persuaded me to leave the small city I lived in and come back so that we could live in her apartment.
But I didn’t budge.
It was like this land was a curse to me.
Daphne’s brows raised as she stooped to reach Liam’s height, lifting his chin with her fingers.
“Why so blue? Was it your mum?” she asked, briefly glaring at me with a displeasing look before resting her sad eyes on Liam.
“What did your mummy do to you?”
“She won’t take me to my daddy! Daphne, do you know my daddy?”
Daphne was taken aback by his words and I couldn’t help but shush him out of embarrassment, scolding him gently while Daphne gave me a knowing look.
“This kid in my class won’t shut up about how cool his father was and how pathetic my life is because I don’t have one,” he blurted before I could stop the words from flowing.
“Liam, do you want some ice cream?” Rose asked, trying to divert his attention, but it only worsened his anger.
“Are you guys even listening?!” He screamed, attracting the attention of a few passersby before letting out a deep sigh of frustration. “I know you don’t want to tell me about my daddy,” he said, turning to Daphne as sadness covered his cute face.
“We will talk about this at home, I promise,” Daphne said, kissing him lightly before we entered into the cab that waited for us.
While I waited for the driver, Daphne sat in the driver’s seat while Rose and Liam sat in the back seat.
After shutting the door, I was greeted by Daphne’s pitiful eyes. “When did he start bugging you with the questions?”
“Yesterday,” I replied tiredly, my mind flew back to how he wouldn’t sleep unless his daddy mysteriously appeared.
“Have you told him yet?” She asked. I felt my blood shoot up.
“Told who?”
“Alpha Casper. He has to know you had his child years ago, especially when Liam keeps asking about his father. You can’t keep the secret away from him forever.”
“I will tell him eventually when he is smart enough to understand. But not now,” I responded, nodding my hair light.
Silence consumed us as Liam’s noise finally stopped as he fell asleep on Rose’s lap.
An interesting thought danced into my head as I tapped Daphne on her shoulder.
“When did you learn how to drive?”
“Last year.” She replied, glancing at me shortly before fixing her eyes on the road as she smirked left, driving into an empty street.
“It’s your car?!” I half-screamed in excitement, covering my mouth with my palm so as not to wake Liam.
“Yes.”
“How? Is it the money you realized from the Fantastic app?”
“No. It’s a gift from my mate.”
My eyes bulged out of their sockets, and I couldn’t believe my ears.
“You bitch! You have a fucking car? Wow!” I gasped, smiling from ear to ear.
“You never told me you had a mate. Who is he? What’s his name?” I asked, unable to control myself.
“I won’t go into full details now, but very soon, you will know him. You will be rooted in shock the moment you set your eyes on him.” She grinned, pulling up in front of a nice bungalow.
Scanning the building, worry etched on my face.
“What is this place? We were supposed to stay at your house.”
“This is my new house, surprise! And before you ask, my mate bought it for me.”
“Wow! Lucky you!” I hugged her, resting my head on her shoulder briefly. “I’m happy for you. Congratulations. Thanks for letting us stay.”
“It’s nothing. You can stay as long as you want. My house is your house. We are family.”
My lips pouted as I almost broke into tears.
“That’s so sweet,” I whispered as we got out of the car and entered her house.
It was like a mini paradise.
How rich was her mate?!

Unzipping his trousers to free his throbbing cock, she swallowed it in one gulp, pushing the fat rod deep into the warmth of her throat.
The more she thrusted in, the more she was met with disappointment.
“My love, is everything all right?” She asked, pushing her hair backwards as she rose to meet his worried eyes.
Calix shifted uncomfortably on the chair as trouble loomed in his heart.
He was afraid all he had worked for was about to crumble before his eyes.
He was nothing but an incompetent bastard to his father. All his life, he had tried to please him, to let him know how capable he was if he had to take over the trafficking business after the demise of his father, yet one mission was about to ruin his chance.
He had to act fast, or his title would slip away, and he would be back to nothing.
“My love.” Her seductive voice permeated his ears, this time, it wasn’t like fine music.
All he wanted was space to strategize and win his father’s heart.
Not even sex could help solve his problem.
Her slim fingers slide down his hard jaws till they rested on his abs.
“What?” he asked harshly, gritting his teeth in anger.
“Are you still worried about kidnapping that Lilith girl?” She asked, visibly annoyed at his diverted attention.
“You won’t understand. I need to finish this mission successfully because my life depends on it,” he grumbled, looking away before releasing a sad sigh.
“You don’t need to worry, my love, I will deliver her to you. Your success is my success and your happiness is mine.” She whispered against his ears, smiling mischievously as she wrapped one of her palms on his cock to revive it.
“Don’t play with me!” He seized her roughly, fixing his hard gaze into hers as desperation consumed him.
“Mark my words, Calix. I will deliver Lilith Parker for you in the next 72 hours!”
“Let’s get this revenge started!”
