My head was forcefully thrown back, making it hit the wall behind me.
Pain flushed on my face as a dull ache throbbed in my head.
I opened my blurry eyes, blinking hard before the large figure towering above me became clear.
My eyes widened in shock as Raphael came into view. His teeth were bared, his face was scrunched up, and pure hatred and disgust oozed out of him.
He posed like he was about to snap my head out of my neck the way Alpha Casper did to one of the guys who tried to molest me at the bar.
After a few seconds, he released the grip from me, eyeing me with contempt.
If only Alpha Casper had given him permission to kill me, he wouldn’t even think twice before pulling the trigger at my face.
I coughed hard, holding my throat as I tried to let air rush into my lungs when he released me.
My eyes were watery and red, and my face was pale like blood was drained off it.
“Raphael!” I managed to speak before gasping.
“It’s Beta to you!” he fired back harshly, almost spitting at me as a heavy frown sat on his face.
“Don’t ever call me without my title again, I am not blinded by lust like the Alpha.”
“Fine, Beta,” I teased, sarcasm dripping in my voice.
I could feel his anger tripling as heat wafted off him.
“Don’t ambush me like that again. You almost gave me a heart attack,” I warned, turning my back to leave when he grabbed my arm, squeezing it painfully.
Pain radiated me, but I tried to put on a brave face, clenching my jaw.
“Leave the Alpha alone. He doesn’t love you!” he said sternly, maintaining a terrifying eye contact while I
shivered in realization. “You are even wearing his clothes,” he scoffed in irritation.
“Fuck! You’re the one sending those texts to me.” My jaws dropped as my heart pounded.
I felt like running off to the Alpha and spilling everything.
“What text?” he asked, staring at me quizzically.
My brows arched as I cocked my head to meet his eyes. “About the Alpha. Weren’t you the one always leaving threatful text?”
“I don’t understand what you are talking about. I don’t even have your fucking number. All I know is that I’ve always warned you about getting close to the Alpha, so what the hell are you talking about?”
I swallowed, looking away. “Let’s just forget I accused you.”
Worry formed in my heart as I was thrown deeper into confusion.
If Raphael wasn’t the one sending the text, who was the person?
I didn’t want to point accusing fingers at Anna because she was a sweet soul, although she fell into bad moods.
“What about the Alpha, who texted you and what does it say?” he demanded, almost forcing the answers from my throat.
“Forget it. No one texted anything!” I half-yelled in frustration, raising my voice.
“Watch your tone, bitch. You think because you fuck the Alpha, you can disrespect me?” He took daring steps, crowding me. I recognized the predatory instincts.
“Obviously, you ducked your way into his life with your little pretend game and fool him, but you cannot fool me, and soon, he will see you for who you truly are,” he threatened, grinding his teeth hard as his hateful glare was pinned on me.
His voice terrified me, but I masked my expression.
A gasp tore through the air, catching our attention. Our necks snapped sideways and our gazes landed on Anna whose hands flew to her mouth in fear.
“Is this a bad time?” she squeaked. Her voice was almost inaudible as she took a few steps backwards
“I was just leaving,” he said before pinning me with a hostile glare.
“Is everything alright between you two?”
“Yes,” I muttered, using the opportunity to slide away from Raphael’s side.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I watched him leave, slamming the door in rage.
“I sensed something off between-”
“We are fine,” I stretched, turning to leave before she ran to catch up with me.
“I know you are mad at me because of the way I treated you last night, but don’t be offended. I was mad at my ex fiance for trying to blame me that I made him cheat so I lashed out on you,” she pleaded. Her big brown eyes searching for mine.
“Okay,” I muttered, hastening my footsteps, but she kept following me.
I didn’t want her to notice my clothes. I didn’t want her to think I was a shut, like Raphael.
I hated that Raphael branded me with such a filthy name.
“I know I sounded like a jealous bitch especially when I heard about things the Alpha did for you. I’m sorry.” She grabbed my arm, pulling it, making my nightgown fall to the ground.
Fuck!
I clenched my jaws, cursing inwardly before biting my lips close enough to draw blood.
I bent to pick my gown from the floor, folding it in a messy way before tucking it underneath my arm.
“Hold on, where are you coming from?” Her questions began to troop in, making me groan inwardly.
“How did I not notice that you aren’t wearing your clothes? If I’m correct, those belong to the Alpha? Why are you wearing them and how did you break the rule about going to the last floor without being punished?”
“Have you been sleeping with the…” she paused as her eyes bulged, almost dropping to the floor and her hands covered her opened mouth in horror.
Now she knows!
“It’s not what you think…”
“Oh spare me the-”
“My room is upstairs now because that was what the Alpha instructed.” I explained briefly, but the look in her eyes shows she wasn’t satisfied.
“Why are you clad in his clothes? What happened to yours?” she asked, trying to snatch my dress, but I slapped her hand away lightly.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” I said in an accented voice, walking past her into my room.
I waited until she had left to start packing. There was nothing much in my possession, making it easy to move into my new room.
Compared to my old room, my new room was well furnished, making me love it more.
I spent the rest of the day listening to music and watching movies.
A dark smile crossed my face when I heard Alpha Casper locking the front door.
When his footsteps got closer, I pretended to be asleep.
His scent and aura filled the air, indicating his presence.
Honey and chocolate blasted me when he leant to kiss my head before trailing it down my slightly parted lips.
His warm hands rested on my face as he pushed his tongue into my mouth before ending the kiss.
My body tingles and my vagina clenches when his hands squeeze my waist tight.
I wish I hadn’t faked sleep.
When he was done, covered me with a comforter, turning off the light.
The sound of the door indicated that he left for his room.
I blushed the moment my eyes opened, touching the places he came in contact with.
Snap out of it!
I yelled at myself.
I was already given the permission to stay on the last floor and I won’t take it for granted.
Whoever this Marina was, I would make sure I searched about her.
Especially why there was a room for 2 children.
Did Marina give birth to Casper’s children?
Maybe they were his cousins..
I doubt Alpha Casper was a dad, judging from his harsh demeanor.
I slipped out of my room with my phone, shutting the door quietly.
Leaning on Alpha Casper’s door, a wave of satisfaction flooded me when I heard his soft snores, indicating he was deeply asleep.
I sneaked into the children’s room as quietly as I could.
I tried to avoid knocking things off to not draw attention..
I pushed a mug aside, grabbing a frame that was behind it.
Below was the drawing of a woman, Alpha Casper and two boys.
I squinted my eyes to read the writing on the picture and sweat broke out of my forehead.
To my loving dad, happy father’s day.
I staggered, swallowing the dreadful thoughts forming in my head.
Dad?
Alpha Casper had children?!
