“If we knew who the killer was,” Storm blankly responded without moving an inch. “We wouldn’t be here.”
“I can’t believe this. I can’t stand here any longer.” Violet murmured and walked past Storm when he grabbed her arm and pushed her backwards. “And where the fucking fuck do you think you are going?!”
‘What’s the meaning of this?’ Violet glared at him. “Let go of my arm this instant.”
“You look so pale, Violet Stormclaw.” He chuckled a little. “Why are you panicking so much? This has nothing to do with you? Or do you have a hand in his death?”
“How dare you accuse me of-”
“Then I see no reason you should be concerned about his death. Don’t you think, Violet?”
“Why are you here?” She talked back. “You look suspicious, too. Are you involved in his death as well? You came right here as soon as we came here.”
Storm took his hand off her arm and hung it in the air and slowly dropped it down by his side.
“If you weren’t my cousin, Violet, I would slam your head right down to the floor. This is St. Victoria’s Academy. Go look through the window. The students are getting so scared of what they’ve seen, but after a few days, everyone will go about their daily lives. The school is gonna hide this incident for sure and if you try to get involved. Your life will not remain the same.”
Violet gave out a bitter laugh. “What you are trying to say to me is to forget about this incident and move on with my life. I should actually act like nothing happened. You can’t…”
“You are not deaf, are you?” Jinx chuckled and also came forward. “Listen, princess. We all want to graduate from this school and have perfect lives. A perfect life comes with sacrifice. Don’t get involved. If I were you, I would turn a blind eye to this incident.” He smirked as both of his hands were in his pockets.
Storm slowly chuckled with his hand slightly resting on his slender waist. “Be warned.”
“What is the meaning of this?!” Violet looked around and swallowed. “Let me pass and stop blocking my way. Where the hell is Ash?”
James blocked Violet’s view and said. “I don’t like the feeling of this. I don’t know what you want to do, but calm down.”
“Why the hell should I calm down? Something is going on here and you want me to sit back and do nothing?”
“Violet.” Anderson called and also stepped forward. “Stay out of this. Please, listen to them. The last time you got involved in this, it caused trouble for all of us.”
“She wants to play detective.” Jinx mocked with a wide grin.
“I was trying to save all of us-”
“Compose yourself, Violet. You are an alpha. You know the consequences. This is St. Victoria’s Academy, no one cares. We are the sons of the owners of the shares of this school. You know they are gonna hide this incident, right? Of course, they wouldn’t let it slide. They will keep it from the public.”
“The dead wouldn’t even get a befitting burial.” Jinx said out loud. “That’s quite sad.”
“Violet.” James tugged her long sleeve. “Let’s get out of here.” He whispered.
“Look out the window, Violet.” Storm announced and pointed at the window. Violet ran to the window and looked out with horror on her face.
“Where’s Mr. Derek?”
I also ran to the window, and the environment was as silent as a graveyard and cleaned up like nothing had just happened a moment ago.
The only spot visible was the huge crack. Mr. Derek fell on and crashed.
There was no sight of blood. I took a step back away from the window in slow motion.
They were right. We shouldn’t get involved in this.
It is better we just go back to class and pretend like nothing happened.
“What did you guys do?” Violet mumbled.
“Are you accusing us of murder? Are you insane?” Anderson furrowed his brows. “We are trying to calm you down and protect your ass. This is what we get.”
“Anderson.” I stepped closer to him. “Please don’t be mad.”
“Why shouldn’t I be mad?”
“If she doesn’t want to step out of this, let her take the hit. Ash would save her ass, as always.” Jinx added.
I panicked. “No, let’s all-”
“Shut your damn mouth.” Storm slightly glared at me without looking at me. His pheromones almost dealt with me. His intent to torture me nearly pushed me out of breath.
Storm was no alpha to play with.
“No, she’s not gonna shut her damn mouth.” Violet yelled, and James held her shoulder and said. “Please, let’s get out of here.”
“She’s not gonna leave here.” Jinx announced and strolled towards Violet. “Not until you guarantee about keeping your lips locked up.”
“Why should I do that?” Violet mumbled.
“Because we are solely the owners of the school. We can decide to go to class whenever we want and no teacher on this planet will dare question our asses and ask us why we refused to attend class. We can do whatever we want and you can’t stop us.”
“Wait a minute.” Violet took a step back with a deep frown.
She popped her claws out and growled, and her purple eyes glittered in rage.
“What, you wanna attack me?” Jinx mocked and also popped out his claws.
His claws were as sharp as a pencil. His eyes turned red and his fangs popped out with a smirk. “I will rip you limb by limb. Ash wouldn’t recognize you when he sees you.”
“You killed Mr. Derek? Why did you do it?”
“What makes you think I killed him? If I killed him, why am I here?!”
“To avoid suspicion.” Violet growled. “How long are you going to continue killing people?” She spoke in a distorted voice, and her face was slightly shapeshifting.
“I’m outta here.” Storm blankly voiced out in annoyance and walked out of the library.
“I can’t deal with this either. The school authorities are coming over here. I can hear their footsteps. They are coming upstairs.” Anderson added and looked at me. “And you too, Willow. You need to get out of here, and fast.” He ran off.
“Violet.” I called out to her. “We need to leave. Now.”
“Violet, let’s get out of here.” James dragged Violet and me out of the library. We ran as fast as we could and ran downstairs.
Violet stopped midway and stared at her hands.
“What is it, Violet?” James and I questioned in unison and ran over to her.
