Rodgers went over and brought out a file. He made some notes on a notepad, got it out besides the file and then sat down with his legs crossed.
“Not entirely, but close to finding him. When he was taken from you, someone claimed to be your sister and took him away from the government orphanage.
And when I looked closely, the person’s passport has faded over time but the name is Susanna Wesley, a younger sister of yours…” Rodgers was saying when Luna interrupted him.
“No, I have no sister, let a younger one. There’s no Susanna Wesley anywhere in my parents bloodline. Where did the imposter took my son to?” Luna asked fidgeting with tears filled eyes.
“There’s where I paused. Who is Susanna Wesley then?” Rodgers asked and Luna broke down in tears.
Who took her son away, who did it?
“I invited you over to ask you a few questions Ms Luna. If you don’t calm yourself and be strong, we aren’t going to go far in this investigation.
Now that it is affirmed that you have no sister Susana Wesley anywhere, we definitely know that person is an imposter. Do you have an idea of someone we can investigate, dead or alive?” Rodgers asked.
Luna couldn’t think of anyone that would take her son away from her and capable of coming in the regalia of an imposter. That person must definitely be after her for good.
But a name stroke her “Anna Lester” she could do it. There’s no limit to what that woman can do. She could sell her soul out to do evil.
“Anna Lester, who is she?” Rodgers demanded.
In Lester mansion, grandfather Lester was asking the doctors if there’s a chance for Anna to be completely free from the cancerous cells. He cannot afford that his son continues to suffer silently like this.
The maids and servants are there but Richard is drain emotionally. He needs to have a ray of hope in the doctor’s words that would help him stay stable and strong.
Adrian has gone off for a meeting and decided to be away to calm his depressed body. Even though he had denied him the right of a grandson and severe ties with him, he still cares about him from a corner of his heart.
“She will gradually come back to being healthy again. She just needs to take her medication and be prepared for her second chemotherapy when it’s time…” the doctors advice.
They also gave instructions on her diets before leaving. Anna now looks weak and fragile. It seemed like the cancer hit her so hard and suddenly that she fought to remain alive but struggles with her health.
While this was going on, a certain person was waiting at the parking lot for Luna Wesley to step out. He hadn’t seen her in decades, he cannot let her off so easily.
How did she made it out of prison? Was he found innocent after all? Does she have strong lawyers who worked hard to see her vindicated?
So many thoughts crossed his mind. If Luna spends the night in that hotel room, he’ll remain in the parking lot all night. He wants to have a word with her by all means.
Less than a hour later, Luna stepped out and went towards her car. She stretched her hand to open the door when she suddenly saw his hand come before behind hers and opened the door.
She sighed softly and asked “How can I be of help to you?” What the heck does he want? She has her life to live and he’s living his already. Both of their lives are parallel to each other.
“I need to talk to you and it’s important” He requested. What the heck? Is she furious with him? It wasn’t his fault that he abandoned her. She was charged with murder and despite the many strings he tried to pull to help her, she wasn’t interested in saying anything to him.
“I don’t have the time now” Luna responded, pulled the door handle from him and slide in muttering the words “excuse me”
She sighted the wrinkles on the sides of his eyes. The dropping jaw and the strands of grey hair littered all over his head. The young definitely would grow.
That handsomeness was not so pronounced anymore. That beautiful white glittering skin, now looked less whitish. But he’s not doing bad for his age. He still looks so handsome for men of his age.
That charming look was present in his son. She saw it in him. He was the desire of every woman in their circle then. And she thought to herself that she was lucky when he fell in love with her then.
She wasn’t lucky like she had thought, she was unfortunate and pathetic to have fallen for a man admired by many women. And one of those women ruined her.
Separated her from her son for decades, restraint her freedom and she lived daily in perpetual fear of being executed. Her years of training as a medical doctor went down the drain and her practising licence was revoked.
She was ruined by love. Her youthful life wasted all because she fell in love with the wrong guy. Now, she wants her son. Nothing else matters to her in this life now, than spending the rest of her life with her son.
As her chauffeur drove out of the parking lot, a lone tear dropped from her eye. Love is not worth it for many. Some people made the greatest mistake of their lives when they fell in love with that man or that woman.
But many are happy and fulfilled in love. Soul ties are real like the Blake’s. Simon and Nancy loves each other to the moon despite being married for years with grown up kids and a granddaughter.
She made a silent prayer to the creator that her son, wherever he is, to find true love, a fulfilling love and may he never loved the wrong woman.
In X-city, Patrick Connor was furious with Aurora “Adrian was telling the truth a while ago. I can tell that he fell in love with you after your supposed death…”
“How does that concern me? He should give his love to the woman he preferred. Please let’s talk about the company’s establishment in New Jersey instead” Aurora declared, shoving Patrick’s words aside.
“I will not talk about business nor continue this partnership if you treat my best friend that way” Patrick declared, without a blink of the eye.
