I knocked at Kiara’s door profusely. I needed to talk to her before I lost my mind. My father has been threatening fire and brimstone in the house and my mother, well, she has been trying to calm him down and make him stop cursing.
The door opened and Kiara’s butler welcomed me in.
“She’s up in her room. Eric just left.” He informed me.
Everyone, including the parents of Kiara and Eric, has accepted the couple’s reliance on each other and needs to be together all the time. I was jealous of their closeness at first but over time, I also got used to it.
Now that the Epsilon had finally confirmed that they were mates, it was only a matter of time before I was doing bridesmaid duties at Kiara’s wedding.

We both said it at the same time, it was our private culture to be courteous by calling out each other’s names gently.
“What is it, Pandy?” She asked me, her face worried and genuinely concerned.
“Oh Kiara, I don’t know what to do. My father is upset, I got rejected by my mate yesterday, and today, another man trailed me home to ask my parents for permission to marry me.” I rushed my words out for fear that if I didn’t, I might not have the courage to be honest with Kiara about it.
She looked at me, confusion spread out across her face.
“Another man?” She asked me, a confused look on her face.
“Yes. Another man. Rolan.” I said quietly, waiting expectantly for her reaction.
Her eyes slowly opened in shock.
“Alpha Rolan? You mean the Alpha of the white moon pack?” She asked me, disbelief and shock keeping her eyes wide open.
“Yes, Kiara,” I replied to her.
“Oh My God, Pandy. That’s like the hottest Alpha and most eligible bachelors of all time. How did you bag him? Where did you meet? What did he say to you?” Kiara barraged me with a ton of questions.
“Slow down Kiara. One question at a time, please.” I groaned weakly.
“Girl, I can’t slow down. Just yesterday, you were crying over your rejected mate and today, you have the richest and hottest Alpha begging to marry you. Make it make sense Pandy” she said and stood with her arms akimbo, staring intently at me.
“Are you going to talk, or are you waiting until I age, and my hair falls off before you do?” She asked me when she saw that I was hesitating to speak.
“We had sex Kiara. I lost my virginity to him last night after your party. We left after his altercation with Derrick.” I admitted, the blush rising furiously to my cheeks.
Kiara’s hands flew to her mouth, masking the low scream that escaped her lips.
“You cannot be serious, Pandy. Do you not think that is too soon? What if he just wants to do the honorable thing, just because he deflowered you?” She asked me, her voice filled with concern and worry about my well-being.
“I don’t know the truth of his feelings about me yet. All I know is, I don’t find him repulsive, and he has made it clear to me that he likes me. He treats me really well, Kiara and I would rather not ruin this by getting cold feet.” I explained to her, praying that I was able to convince her to support me on this.
“Well, if you like him, dear friend, I have no choice but to support your decision. Anything that makes you happy makes me happy too. How did your parents react to his Marriage proposal?” She asked me.
I sighed sadly.
“My father won’t accept him. He feels that Rolan is just toying with my feelings, and he would hurt me like Derrick did because we are not of the same social status.” I admitted it honestly. I have always told the truth to Kiara.
“Hmmm, this is quite dicey. I see your father’s perspective. He is just trying to look out for you and prevent you from getting hurt. I would advise that you give him time. You can also use that time to explore a relationship with Rolan and see if what you both feel for each other is real and not clouded by sexual feelings only. I am happy for you, dear friend. Rolan is a good man. The mothers have all been trying to force their daughters down his throat since he lost his pregnant wife.” Kiara sighed sadly at the mention of Rolan’s dead wife.
“Thank you, Kiara. This is why I came to you, now I feel ten times better than I did before I spoke to you.” I smiled and hugged Her.
“What would you do without me?” She teased me and we both fell on the bed laughing.
“You know, it’s funny how a lot can change in just one day. Look at you weeping yesterday and now today, you are no longer a virgin, and you are exploring a relationship with a sterling Alpha.” Kiara said and tugged playfully at my cheeks.
“My Luna” she teased further, laughing and holding her sides.
“Oh Kiara, that’s enough teasing for one person. Any more teasing from you, and I’ll get up and leave.” I threatened playfully, my pretend stern face relaxed and we laughed again.
“Eric has asked for my parent’s consent to marry me,” Kiara said.
I squealed in delight.
“Oh, girl. I’m so happy for you. I can’t wait to see you in your big puffy dress.” I said gleefully.
“One more thing, we did it for the first time together last night too,” Kiara confessed, and It was my turn to open my mouth widely in shock.
“Please close your mouth, Pandy. He asked for permission and my parents have given their blessings, although they didn’t know about us being together last night. You are the only person I have told.” Kiara said quietly.
I squeezed her palm gently and smiled at her.
“It’s fine Kia. I am happy for you. We have officially become women” I laughed and she did too.
