“We’ve gotten information about her, Ma.” This was the text message Cassandra got.
When Cassandra saw the message, she quickly just switched off her phone; she had in mind she would check the message later. She was sure it was information about Sophia from the first private investigator she had told to check things out about her.
After Grace had told Cassandra about everything concerning her that very day they had met in an eatery, Cassandra had told someone to bring her detailed information to her.
“You have a message, Hun; aren’t you supposed to be at work?” Grace asked Cassandra; she just realized she was acting weird and she didn’t know what was really going on.
“No, Sweetie, I have nothing much to do at work today.” Cassandra said to Grace, and before you knew it, they were already in the Divine’s company.
“We are here already.” Grace announced. She was sure Cassandra was really waiting for this moment.
“Damn! Cool! Not too far.” Cassandra said as she tried to peep and take a view of the magnificent building.
“Wow! It’s indeed a big one! That doesn’t mean he can still mess with you.” Cassandra said, and Grace laughed out loud.
She was just so funny, and Grace just loved her the way she is, even if she was so stubborn, but she was a sweet soul.
“Don’t you think Nelson is nice, huh?” Grace teased Cassandra as she asked this.
Now the car was driving into the company’s building, and Cassandra, who was trying to take careful glances, had to flip her head to Grace.
“No! Are you the one saying this? Calling the devil nice? He literally told the drivers you can’t use the car he got for you, love.” Cassandra said, trying not to sneer at Grace.
“Just pulling your legs, love.” Grace finally said as she studied Cassandra look
Her face was gloomy already, as though she had just said the most annoying thing already.
“Watch as I tell everyone how he is treating his own wife; I don’t even care tarnishing his tarnished reputation.” Cassandra said and chuckled as she got rid of her seatbelt so she could get down from the car.
“You must not cause a whole lot of troubles, baby girl; I know you are good at that.” Grace teased as they got down.
“I am glad you know what I’m capable of doing, love.” Cassandra said as she adjusted her clothes.
“Get my bag.” She said to her driver as Grace led the way.
Grace and Cassandra were still on their way into the building when they saw Sophia coming in their direction.
“Damn!” Sophia said in her head when she saw Cassandra and Grace approaching the building.
She was really not expecting Cassandra; she really didn’t know what her mission was, but it was clear to her that she wanted to make Grace win.
Cassandra and Grace had seen Sophia but pretended not to have seen her as they walked closer to her.
“And here comes the slut that does nothing but sleep about with people’s husbands.” Cassandra said loudly to Sophia that everyone around has to look in her direction.
Grace was really surprised Cassandra would say that, and already, as if the person knew what was about to happen, started using their phones to video.
This one thing about how people do behave in the country is that they do want to have to get videos on things that happened around them.
Sophia at first pretended she didn’t hear what Cassandra had said, but when she noticed she had attracted the person’s attention already, she was ready to react.
“Let’s just leave already. I really have a high rank here; we can’t just disgrace ourselves, huh?” Grace whispered to Cassandra.
Cassandra really didn’t care right now, so far as it was not she or Grace rather that is doing something bad.
“Okay, love, I will just do as you said.” Cassandra whispered back to Grace as she gave Sophia the daggering eyes she had dared give her.
“Bitch!” Cassandra said to Sophia, who has really started going out of the building fuming.
Just immediately they entered the elevator, Cassandra noticed a tall figure with a very good bodybuilding, and he was dressed so rich and wealthy, coupled with the fact that she was handsome.
She had wanted to check who had entered when her eyes met a very cool dark blue piercing eye with a handsome face; he looks like a Greek god.
“Damn!” Cassandra said in her heart and went ahead to shift her gaze at Sophia and go notice if she had seen the man too.
But she was shocked that Grace was not even looking at where he stood, and she was acting as though she was dodging his stares.
She went ahead to catch a glimpse of the man again, but she tried to act elegantly , so the man wouldn’t take her for something else.
She guesses he was a perfect match for the kind of guy she wanted Grace to get for now.
“Nice, I have found him.” Cassandra said inside of her, her face beaming with excitement already, as though she had won a trophy.
She also noticed the man wasn’t even looking at her, but just Grace, and she knew something was wrong; the tension that hung on the air was palpable.
Grave hadn’t even said a damn word; talk more of flipping her head in her direction.
“Are you okay?” Cassie finally asked Grace.
“Yes, I am.” Grace hurriedly said, still not looking at Cassandra.
Immediately the elevator made a sound, evidence that they had arrived at the floor they wanted to be on. Grace, with full intensity, rushed out of the elevator, as though she had been suffocating in there.
The truth was that Grace had seen Alpha Redford come in; she had really tried not to make sure they didn’t even have eye contact.
When they were in the elevator, she prayed. Cassandra didn’t think of choosing Redford as the man she had said she was coming to get for her.
Grace was trying to leave as fast as possible; she really had no idea she would stumble on something, and when she did, she was caught by Alpha Redford.
She was in his arms, and their faces were a few centimeters apart as their mint breath fanned each other’s face.
Cassandra couldn’t help but smile; this was going to be easy now since she knew the man in question had feelings for Grace.
However, she was yet to know how the hell they knew each other before now.
Alpha Nelson was just walking past that particular spot when he realized what was happening.
He had just seen Grace in another man’s arms, and this had made him feel a pang of jealousy, though he decided to hide it as he strolled closer to the scene.
“And what the hell is going on here? What are you doing with my wife, huh?” Alpha Nelson sneered, his tone laced with fury, and his eyes were really red.
A flush of embarrassment and anger flashed on Grace’s face as Alpha Nelson had said this.
“Be okay, pretty!” Alpha Redford said to Grace as he helped her maintain her composure.
Grace was embarrassed by the fact that Alpha Redford had always talked so rudely that he had helped her from falling while she was trying to avoid him.
However, she was angry that the damn Sebastian had the guts and dared call her his wife.
“What wife? Who are you referring to, if I may ask?” Cassandra asked Alpha Nelson as she took a bold step to stand at his very front.
Alpha Nelson was really not in the mood for all this, so he just ignored Cassandra and walked down to Grace.
Grace was really waiting for him to dare act funny at first, then she would see her reaction. Instead, he whispered in her ears.
“I guess you really have no idea what you are doing, huh? Keep daring me and see how I deal with you personally.” Alpha Nelson screeched.
“Pay no attention to him, babe.” Casandra said to Grace, who just sighed and left, still not wanting to look at Alpha Redford.
“I am really sorry for all that had happened; she didn’t mean to.” Cassandra apologizes to Alpha Redford; there was nothing she found familiar in him.
He was really a gentle, handsome, and good-looking young man. Alpha Nelson couldn’t even really compare, and yet his pride was really something else.
“It’s fine, lady; I am not complaining about that.” Alpha Redford said with a smile as he arranged his disheveled cloth, with the impression that he was about to leave already.
“So sorry! I want us to have a brief conversation if you don’t mind.” Cassy had said to Alpha Nelson, and she was shocked to see him chuckle slightly.
That alone gave her a butterfly in her stomach, even if she had no idea why he had to. She really couldn’t understand why she was starting to cry.
something weird for him already, but she tried to act as though nothing was really wrong.
“Yh, we can discuss in my office.” Alpha Redford said, leading the way.
What is Cassandra feeling for Alpha Redford? Was she in love already?
