Lion stepped out of Rosalind’s room but didn’t actually leave Jingtown; instead, he checked into another room in the same hotel. The more he thought about Zenith, the more things seemed off. After much consideration, he called Johnny. The first call went unanswered, but after a while, Johnny called back.
“Did you call me?”
“Yes, did you hear about Zenith going under?”
Johnny paused, “Ah? Zenith Corporation in Jingtown?”
“Yes, they went bankrupt overnight.”
“Wasn’t that company doing pretty well? I had been paying some attention to them, and their projects seemed quite solid. How could they suddenly just…?”
That was also Lion’s puzzle.
“So, who in the country could cause such a huge company to collapse overnight?”
Johnny was no fool; he grasped what Lion implied.
“Did Zenith cross Rosalind?”
“Yes, their Mr. Sanderson spiked Rosalind’s drink, intending to take advantage of her.”
Johnny understood immediately.
“Why mess with Rosalind of all people! I thought maybe Zenith had its own issues that suddenly erupted, but if it involves Rosalind, then everything makes sense!”
Others might not know, but Johnny was well aware that Rosalind was Ulric’s heart! A treasure beyond measure, not someone others could easily tamper with.
“But how did he find out about Rosalind?” Lion frowned, feeling uneasy.
It seemed that Ulric clearly hadn’t given up on Rosalind!
He was up against not just anyone, but the mountain that was Ulric.
“Well… I’m not sure. He’s always busy at the office, and he’s assigned me lots of tasks, so I don’t know everything he’s up to.”
“Someone from Ulric’s side is with Rosalind.”
“I don’t know.”
Johnny truly didn’t know; he wasn’t lying.
“Back when Rosalind was going to divorce Ulric, I saw her at the hospital. She told me the doctors said she might not be able to conceive. I even suspected that was why she insisted on the divorce. But now, it seems… it’s not that simple, since she’s pregnant and having a child now!”

“Hey? Are you sure that child is hers?”
Johnny clearly remembered that Rosalind had even visited the hospital about this issue, where the doctor had advised her to consult with her husband.
“It’s her biological child.”
And it was also Ulric’s.
But the rest, Lion would absolutely not tell him.
“Then she must have been cured later.”
