“Meow~” The little kitten was very excited to see Tom.
“Getting chubbier, huh?” Tom took the kitten from the girl’s hands.
Agnes smiled brightly, “She’s been eating a lot lately.”
“Daddy’s leaving tomorrow, you know. Who knows when we’ll see each other again.”
Tom’s face was full of smiles.
Agnes looked at him tenderly, wondering if he felt even a tinge of sadness inside.
With Bubu around, the atmosphere between them became lighter and more cheerful, unlike the somber mood when he had just brought her back.
Tom stayed for about ten minutes, holding the kitten the entire time.
Their conversation revolved around the kitten.
After saying goodbye to Tom, Agnes went upstairs with Bubu. She sat on the sofa, stroking the kitten in her arms, and dialed Spencer’s number on her phone-
“Spencer, I need your help. I have an event that requires two extras…”
Despite his busy schedule, Spencer patiently listened to his sister-in-law’s request. He agreed, “Alright, I’ll carefully select them and bring them over to meet you this afternoon.”
“Thank you.”
She felt reassured leaving this matter in his hands.
Next, Agnes prepared for her lunch date with Ansel. Even though she was really busy today and had to visit the Fritz family in the afternoon, she couldn’t cancel on Ansel since she had already promised him.
Before long, a Volvo parked in the courtyard of Fritz Manor, surrounded by blooming roses of various precious breeds and colors.
The castle-style building exuded luxury from its exterior.
The rich fragrance mixed with the air, making one feel refreshed.
“Tom, go upstairs with Grandma for a bit.”
Mrs. Fritz was delighted to see her beloved grandson return. She got up and walked towards the elevator with her cane.
Grandma was still in good spirits.
Ever since he brought Agnes back, Grandma had been full of energy.
Having a girlfriend and living together-what good news!
Tom glanced at his parents sitting on the sofa. Jane, dressed in a fitted long dress, smiled and reminded him, “Go on. Your grandma wants to show you her treasure room so you can pick out some things that girls like.”
The Fritz family elders took this engagement very seriously.
Even Williams, who rarely spoke much, approved.
In Fritz Manor, there was a room upstairs that was always locked. It contained limited edition antiques-some acquired through high-priced auctions and some inherited from the Fritz family.
Each item was valuable; most were Grandma’s collections, and some belonged to Williams.
Tom followed Grandma into the elevator…
At noon.
Ansel walked into a Chinese restaurant carrying a cake. He immediately spotted the girl sitting at a table not far away!
She wore an off-white dress with a butterfly hairpin in her hair, looking pure and beautiful like an angel.
“Bubu!”
Ansel finally saw her and quickened his pace excitedly.
Agnes felt a bit embarrassed as his loud voice drew everyone’s attention to her in this public place!
But she still smiled at him, “Ansel, congratulations on your award.”
“You already know?” The boy sat down across from her with an unmistakable joy on his face and handed her the cake.
“Try it!”
“It was expected that you’d win.”
Agnes could tell from his tone over the phone; he always wore his emotions on his sleeve.
Whenever something good happened, he wanted to share it with her first.
Ansel was delighted by her words.
“So I’m that outstanding in your eyes? Expected? Not bad at all.”
