“Oh, you think no one will find out about your evil deeds, right?” “I, Mavana Fae, daughter of Beta Victor Fae of Crest Pack and Luna of Silverado Pack, will go to that battle and emerge victorious,” she declared, turning to the door and stepping out of the room with power and determination.
“You people are unbelievable; how on earth can you be pack leaders while also causing trouble for the same pack?” One of the Elders bluffed, shaking his head in pity as he stood up to leave the meeting room.
************
“Hello, everyone. I know things have been difficult for us in this pack, with the destruction, the death of our Alpha, and other things going on. I want to take this opportunity to express my regret and reassure everyone that everything will work out.” She said,
“I would appreciate it if you all gave it your best effort because I have important information to convey.” She said and paused, looking at each of them who nodded in agreement and encouraged her to continue.
“A notice of war was sent by Luna Lorienta of Crest Pack.”The warriors let out gasps and started mumbling and whispering to express their intense displeasure.
“I am so sorry, Luna, but we have to stop this war; our pack was destroyed days ago, and we are still working to rebuild it. The Alpha is also dead while you are pregnant. We must find a way to reach an agreement with them,” the Acting Chief Warrior replied.
“Why are you all talking about settlements? Oh, you think they will agree to settle with us after what happened? I know these people; I know their actions; even if they agree to settle, they will still destroy us sneakily,” Luna Mavana yelled, enraged at why they were all so eager to settle. Her breath became heavy as she looked over at each one of them.
“But Luna, we have a tendency not to win…” Luna Mavana shot him a glare, interrupting his statement.
“These people came into our pack without warning, burned down the pack members’ homes, killed families, and killed our Alpha, and you, Royal Warriors of Silverado Pack, are hesitant to go intrude their Pack and gain the upper hand, knowing full well that even if we settle with them, they will still destroy us.” Luna Mavana yelled, ruffling her hair in disbelief. Anxiety and panic had consumed her.
“I am not sure what is wrong with these people. They…” She choked back her words and arched her neck, her eyes fixed on the ground. She felt a shadow fall over her, and when she looked up, all she saw was the warriors’ confused expressions.
“I am going in to prepare; we are not going the day before again; we will be intruding on their pack tomorrow. Everybody should prepare.”She authorized and walked back into the pack house, straight to the Alpha’s mother, who had not stopped crying since they informed her that her son’s body had not been found.
A gentle knock on the floor distracted her from her crying, and she sprang her head up as her face lit up, sprinting towards the door, “Damian, Damian, I am coming son,” she screamed, twisting the door knob.
Her face fell immediately, and she walked back to her original position, curling up with her knees clamped against her chest by her arms.
Luna Mavana looked down in pity, feeling every pain the Alpha’s mother was experiencing. “Mom, please stop trying to immerse yourself in denial; Alpha Damian is gone.”
” No. No, do not tell me that. Why would he want to go? He is the Alpha of this pack, remember, and I am confident he went to battle to protect our pack and will emerge victorious.” She said, choking out a forced smile, that she can not and will not accept her son’s death; she is convinced that he is still alive.
“Mom, please stop hurting yourself with lies. The only way we can keep Alpha Damian’s last memory is to secure the throne until his cub is strong enough to inherit his father’s throne and become Alpha. Please get out of this denial and support me along with the Beta.” Luna Mavana said, embracing the Alpha’s mother with tears in her eyes. The Alpha’s mother’s sobs subsided, and her nerves relaxed as she attempted to let those statements restore her mental strength and capability.
“I am sorry, my son. She stuttered, her sobs growing louder. Her hands gripped Luna Mavana tightly and sobbed on her shoulder, jerking in weakness.
“We need to be strong now that the Elders are getting out of control. They poisoned Gamma Loan earlier today, and I am confident they would not hesitate to take out everyone else in their way.” Luna Mavana bluffed before realizing the consequences of her statement; she felt the Alpha’s mother’s muscle contract involuntarily.
Her body began to tremble as her eyes widened in horror; she looked around, disoriented and numb.
Her breathing became irregular.
Her face turned pale in no time as she jerked into unconsciousness.
“Mom,” Luna Mavana called, letting go of the embrace as she looked at the Alpha’s mother, who was slowly sleeping in shock.
She became confused about what to do, and her legs ran faster than she could think, nearly knocking her to the ground as she approached the Royal Doctor’s prison cell.
“Release him and follow behind me; The Alpha’s mother is shocked.” She stated and dashed back to her room after hearing the keys rattling and footsteps trailing behind her.
She swung the door open and dashed towards the Alpha’s mother, whose eyes were rolling nonstop.
The guards weakly shoved the royal doctor down beside her. He crawled to her side and placed his hand on her forehead, calming her down.
“She needs to rest; I will get some guards to help with the herbs tomorrow; it is too late to cut any herbs.” The Royal Doctor stated with a weak smile on his face. Luna Mavana wanted to refuse and forbid him from caring for anyone, but the Alpha’s mother’s display changed her mind.
She then walked out of the room, preparing the warriors for an intrusion.
