Chapter 1745: Forbidden Move

The three elderly monks faced the barrage of shockwaves, their expressions changing drastically. They hurriedly raised their crosses, forming a large intersecting light net in a desperate attempt to defend themselves.
The crosses in their hands were sacred relics, blessed with the blood of the former pope. These relics not only summoned exceptionally powerful holy energy but also had considerable defensive capabilities.
However, reality was harsh. The shockwaves almost instantly shattered the light net formed by the crosses, reducing the crosses themselves to fragments.
With their defenses broken, the three elderly monks were hit directly by the surging shockwaves.
Their aged bodies were severely injured in an instant, and the three monks spat blood as they were sent flying backward.
Just as they were about to crash to the ground like falling meteors, three gentle orbs of Holy Light enveloped them, suspending them in mid-air.
What kind of power is this?
Leo was slightly taken aback.
On the battlefield below.
Essex surveyed the congregation before him with a proud gaze, finally fixing his eyes on Owen and the two Cardinals.
“Three old friends, do you still recognize me?” Essex said with a sinister smile.
Archbishop Owen, Cardinal Grote, and Cardinal Cretton’s faces instantly turned furious.
“Essex, you devil!” Owen exclaimed angrily.
“Lord Owen, I’ve heard of your formidable strength. How about we have a one-on-one duel?” Essex said calmly.
Owen sneered, “You insidious devil, trying to pick us off one by one? I won’t let you succeed. If you have the guts, break through our Holy Light formation.”
With that, Owen waved his hand, “Devout warriors of the Lord, form up!”
The church members immediately sprang into action.
Twenty-four archbishops formed the outer ring, with Owen, Grote, and Cretton at the core, creating a flexible offensive and defensive formation.
This sight made Essex’s face darken.
He had planned to take them down one by one but didn’t expect them to band together.
Essex raised his staff and shouted sharply, “Warriors of the dark world, attack!”
The vampires soared into the air, with thirteen princes forming a formation in low altitude. A surge of blood-red light connected them, covering the sky.
Eight white-robed grand wizards formed a sharp wedge formation with Essex at the head, like a blade ready to strike.
The orcs roared and punched the ground, causing an explosion of dirt as they disappeared into the earth.
The three major races of the dark world launched an all-out attack.
Owen felt a chill in his heart and shouted urgently, “Everyone be careful, follow my orders.”
He raised the cross on his chest.
The other twenty-six Cardinals and black-robed archbishops also raised their crosses, ready for battle.
“Divine Purification!”
Holy Light filled the sky in an instant, attacking everything within sight of the dark clans.
The ground shook violently as layers of soil were lifted by the powerful Holy Light, forming fierce waves like a tsunami rushing towards Essex and the white-robed grand wizards.
In the sky, roaring Holy Light formed a massive circle, encircling the thirteen vampire princes.
Essex raised his staff solemnly.
Behind him, eight white-robed grand wizards shot thousands of green lights into Essex’s body, aiding him in unleashing his strongest attack.
A sinister black hurricane spun out from Essex’s staff, carrying a deadly chill and destructive force as it surged towards Owen and his group.
In the air, the thirteen vampire princes also launched their strongest attacks.
In almost an instant, thousands of Holy Light beams aimed at the wizards were swallowed by the black hurricane.
At the same time, the Holy Light attacking the sky was dispersed by the blood-red light.
Seeing their attack broken, Owen was horrified and quickly shouted, “Defend quickly!”
The archbishops hastily raised a large light shield.
The violent black hurricane struck the light shield fiercely. The shield quickly retaliated.
The black hurricane burned intensely and dissipated into wisps of smoke.
But before Owen and his group could catch their breath, the blood-red light attacked again.
The weakened light shield trembled violently and quickly thinned out, on the verge of collapse.
The archbishops groaned as they were shaken pale and bleeding from their ears and noses.
“Hold steady!” Owen roared.
With the archbishops’ strong support, the light shield finally stabilized under the blood-red light’s attack.
“Earthquake!” A roar like it came from the depths of hell erupted from underground.
The ground shook violently in an instant.
“Watch out below!” Owen suddenly remembered the orcs’ presence and shouted in panic.
But it was too late. As the ground shook violently, countless sharp electric lights burst through the soil and surged upward.
The protective light shield shattered, and then the archbishops were engulfed by electric lights and dust clouds.
High above, Leo raised an eyebrow and quietly observed the three people opposite him without attacking rashly.
Simon, Stanley, and Terrace looked quite miserable.
Their gray linen robes had turned into tattered rags. Their once clean and serious faces were now pale and gaunt.
Especially Terrace; even his shoes had been blown off, leaving him barefoot.
They looked more like beggars than monks in their current state.
At this moment, each of them held a white staff topped with a holy angel spreading its wings.
These three staffs emitted peaceful Holy Light that greatly healed the injuries of the three elderly monks.
Leo was intrigued and couldn’t help but ask, “What are those staffs?”
Stanley looked at Leo with fear and anger in his eyes and gritted his teeth. “These are Angel Wands, sacred relics of the Church.”
“Another sacred relic?” Leo sneered disdainfully. “The Church’s sacred relics seem pretty weak if anything can be called one.”
“Shut up, you evil demon!” Terrace rebuked angrily. “Angel Wands are ancient relics passed down by the Church! They may not be as powerful as Holy Scarabs but don’t underestimate them.”
“If they’re so powerful, then let’s continue fighting!”
With that said, Leo stood proudly without attacking, waiting for Simon and his group to make the first move.
Simon exchanged glances with Stanley and Terrace. Their eyes showed a mix of grave determination and hesitation.
“What? Are you scared?” Leo sneered again.
“Our courage comes from Almighty God; we fear nothing,” Simon said firmly. “Let’s use it to destroy this terrible demon.”
Stanley’s face changed slightly. “But it’s a forbidden move; its power is too great to use lightly.”
Terrace spoke urgently. “Given today’s situation, we have no choice. Should we let this demon tarnish God’s glory?”
“Alright,” Stanley gritted his teeth.
Forbidden move?
What on earth is that?
Leo was extremely curious.
