CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO.

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Alora’S POV.
I’m stepping out of the car with a big smile on my face. I’m smiling because I just had the best afternoon of my life with my mate.
We both ate the lunch I brought, discussed, played and even took a short nap together. My mind is like a big flat screen TV right now, showing all the scenes that took place in that office to all my organs and it’s making them jump with excitement within me.
I’m happy.
I am very happy.
No matter what happens to me in this pack. The bullying, the betrayal, the murder attempts on my life, it’s nothing compared to what I went through in the hands of Alessa back at my former pack.
Here, I have people who have got my back. People who love and care about me. People who defend me every time I’m in trouble. I could never be greedy enough to ask for more.
“Jared, you don’t have to walk me to the door. Thank you.” I tell the guard who tries to follow me to the main castle building. He reluctantly takes a step back and nods his head. I flash him a smile and walk on. The smile on my face returns.
I’m going in there right now to reminisce about my time spent with Alpha Jayce until he…
“Look who we have here. Alora!” A very familiar voice calls out my name from behind. When I turn to look, my heart slips into my abdomen when I see Jovan’s mother approaching me with a very evil smile on her face.
Makeup too wild for her age.
Jewellery all over wrists and neck, some even clattering against each other.
White outfit from head to toe.
Very typical of Lara.
“Good day Miss Craig.” I greet as politely as I can. She scoffs and twists her lips in… I don’t know… disgust?
I really don’t care.
“Where are you coming from?” She asks out of nowhere. I squint in surprise.
Why is she asking me that question? Did she set another life threatening trap for me?
“Why do you ask?”
“Weren’t you told it’s bad manners to answer a question with another question? Or did you not have parents to teach you that… oh, sorry, I forgot you used to be an orphaned slave. There was no one to teach you manners. You poor thing.” Pain sears through my heart at the mention of the words “orphan” and “slave”.
Those two words hold the record of being the highest words that have made me cry in my life whenever ever someone uses them to address me, but not anymore.
I didn’t ask to be an orphan. It’s not my fault my parents died and there’s nothing wrong with bring an orphan.
For the slave part, it’s not even true.
I’m no longer a slave. I am mated to the Supreme Alpha and that doesn’t only make me the Luna of this pack, but all the packs of the werewolf world.
I’ve got power and authority now so I don’t have to let her try to intimidate me.
Looking deep into her eyes, I take a step towards her. Her eyes widen in surprise.
“Lara.” I call her name. She squints. She didn’t see that coming. I just called her by her name.
“What did you just call me?”
“Lara. It’s your name, isn’t it?”
“How dare you address me like that.”
“And how dare you speak rudely to your Supreme Luna? You do know that one call and guards will come over and drag you to the dungeon where you’ll be locked up l and only be released when I want you to be released.” She lets out the most sarcastic laugh I have ever heard in my life.
She’s trying to hide her pain, but I can see in her eyes. Hear it in her voice. She cannot believe I just spoke to her like that.
“You have finally grown wings?”
“What did you expect? I’m a stallion!”
“How dare you talk back to me?”
“If you have nothing to say to me, I’ll excuse myself right now. I have more important things to do than stay here and listen to your blabbering!”
“How dare you!” She lifts her hand and tries to smack me in the face, but I hold her hand midair, stopping her from touching me. Her face grows pale when she realises what’s going on.
“How dare you try to hit me?”
“Alora!” My head turns to the direction of the call and I gulp dryly when I see and angry looking trollJovan, walking towards me. I instantly let go of his mother’s hand and step behind.
“What exactly were you trying to do? Hit my mum?”
“And why will I even do that?”
“You disrespectful piece of shit!” He tried to hit me as well, but his hands also held midair, this time around, not by me.
“Let go of my hand! Who the fuck are you?” The person, who turns out to be Reed, flings his hands away and steps by my side, shadowing me away from the menacing man.
“Do you want us to pick up from where we stopped the other day?” Reed’s tone is deadly. Jovan looks like he has seen a ghost.
Pale. White. Terrified!
Reed terrifies him!
Wow!
“Get lost!” Reed tells both Jovan and his mother and they scamper away like scared rodents.
Reed has got power and authority just like Alpha Jayce.
Once they disappear at a corner, I turn to look at Reed and I know my insults are about to start pouring in.
“Thank you for defending me.”
“Where are your guards?” He asks in a very serious tone. My heart is beating really fast.
He terrifies me as well.
“I asked them to stay back since the walk to the main castle isn’t a long one.” Right now I feel like a daughter who’s confessing her wrongdoing to her father.
“And see the trouble you landed yourself in. You could’ve gotten hurt, Luna.”
“It won’t happen again. I promise.” I say that with all my heart. He lets out an exasperated sigh, shaking his head.
“It had better not, because the next time I see Jovan trying to raise his hand against you, I’ll kill him with my bare hands.” He turns on his heels and starts walking away.
A brilliant idea pops in my mind.
“Reed.” He stops. Turns. I swallow hard.
“I defended myself really well against his mum. She tried to hit me as well, but I stopped her hand midair.”
“I saw that. You made me proud. But you have to train harder so next time you’ll be able to stop Jovan’s hand in the air as well and why not flip him to the ground?” I chuckle lightly.
“I’ll train harder. I’m going to make dinner tonight and I want to invite you over to share a meal with Alpha Jayce and I. Would you be kind enough to accept my invitation?” I ask with my brightest smile. The neutral look on his face has not changed. He nods his head like a robot.
“I’ll honour your invitation.”
“Thank you very much. You can come along with Halle.” Surprise flashes in his eyes. I Calmly nod my head. “Yes. You are not the only one who can find out information about other people.” I blink one eye at him before turning on my heels and heading towards the main castle. I can feel his surprised gaze escorting me all the way there.
Reed has been busted!
