CHAPTER SEVENTY-FOUR.

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Jovan’S POV.
“NO!” I scream at the top of my voice and throw the glass of whiskey in my hand. It shatters all over the place and my mum comes rushing in.
I failed again.
My plans failed and this time around it’s all because of that miserable Omega called Reed. How dare he!
How dare he sabotage my plans.
“Jovan! What’s going on with you? Why are you shattering glasses?”
“Because Reed is making my life miserable, mum! I can’t do a single thing without him getting in the way and ruining everything!” I’m screaming at the top of my voice.
“Tell me what happened’
“The plan failed!” I shout. Sweeping the bottle off the bar and the bottle shatters on the floor as well. “The plan to kill Jayce, it backfired!’
“No, that’s impossible! It couldn’t have failed! There were hundreds of Rogues. He couldn’t have possibly killed them alone.”
“Yes he couldn’t! But Reed, his fucking Omega came to his recuse. He rallied over one thousand soldiers and they finished off the rogues. Now I not only have to deal with the fact that my plan failed, but I have the Rogue King on my tail for the data of five hundred rogue soldiers. I’m screwed!” I lament with tears streaming down my cheeks.
Mum calmly approaches me and holds me in his arms.
“You have to calm down, Son. This isn’t the end of the world. This isn’t the end of it all. The rogue kind shouldn’t be a problem to you. Well shut him off with some money and for Reed, it’ll be easy to get rid of him. He is our next target.” I look at her and sniffle tears.
She is right.
This is not the end.
One failed plan doesn’t mean every plan will fail.
I’ll pay the Rogue king some money and ell keep his mouth shut about what happened and for Reed, I’m going to make sure he dies one of these days.
Since I have to pass through him to get to Jayce, I’m definitely going to pass through him.
“I’m coming for you Reed.” I murmur as I make myself comfortable in my mum’s arms.
He’ll pay.

Reed’S POV
Alpha Jayce finally fell asleep and I was able to withdraw my hand from his hold. I wanted to go straight home and take a shower and get a change of clothes before coming back to check on him, but half way out of the hospital, I changed my mind and decided to pay someone a visit before leaving.
Lloyd.
I need to speak with him.
When I get into his ward, there’s a young lady seated by his side, crying, but she immediately bows to me and exits the ward.
“Reed.” He calls weakly. He doesn’t look at all. No bruises, no broken bones. Nothing. He looks fine and that’s when it crosses my mind that he was nowhere to be found when I arrived at that battle field.
He wasn’t protecting his Alpha, neither was he fighting with his soldiers.
“You look really strong for someone who fought against hundreds of woods just a few hours ago. No bruises, no broken bones. Pristine!” I point out as I walk over to him. He chuckles and sits upright on the bed.
Nothing is funny.
“I’m a lot tougher than you think.”
“I can see that.” I pull the stool the girl was previously occupying and sit on it. He gives me an amused look.
He’s shocked that I’m here to see him.
“You seem surprised to see me here.”
“I am. I didn’t know you cared about me so much to check on me at a time like this.”
“Trust me, I’m not here to check on you. Don’t get excited.” I say coldly. He flashes me a tight smile.
“So why are you here?”
I look at him long and hard.
He planned this attack.
He’s working with someone and I know that person is Jovan. They are working together to get rid of both Alpha Jayce and Alora.
I don’t know what he hopes to get once that mission is accomplished, but what I know is that my hatred for him just tripled.
“You know, no matter how I think about it, this attack does not make any sense. It doesn’t look organic. Never in the history of the werewolf rogue attack have hundreds of rogues invaded a pack at a particular time. Never!” I’m looking at him straight in his eyes. He hasn’t blinked even once. He’s trying to keep a straight face. But I’m not going to stop. “Don’t you think it’s odd that an army of five hundred rogue soldiers attacked our Alpha on the day you asked him to go for a walk with you in the woods?”
“Reed, what are you trying to insinuate?” He asks coldly. I chuckle and give him a stern look.
“I have never liked you Lloyd, even before I began noticing strange things about you. I never liked you. But right now, it’s worse. I loathe you!”
“And just so you know, the feeling is mutual.”
“I know about your schemes. I know you hate Jayce. I know you are planning with a few people to bring him down. But know this, you and everyone involved in that plan will fail. I will expose you!”
“You are talking nonsense Reed. Get out of my ward. Now!” I smile and rise to my feet.
“I can’t wait to see you fail.”
“Get out!” He screams at the tops of his voice. I chuckle and walk out of the ward with a wide smile on my face.
He must have pissed his pants out of shock on that bed.
