Alora’S POV.
“Halle.” I call, panting as I rush over to Halle who is packing her things to leave. Today is a short training day. It’s noon and it’s time to call it a day for practice. She turns to look at her usual cold expression and I take a step back out of fear.
The girl is very scary.
“Yes, Luna Alora.”
Luna Alora.
She has the courtesy to address me properly, but she wouldn’t even smile at me. How ironic.
I clear my throat and muster up the courage to ask the questions ringing in my mind.
I know I said I was going to give her time to warm up to me because I figured she was an aloof person, but it’s been weeks now and there’s no sign of improvement between us. She’s still mean to me. She’s still cold and it’s bothering me a lot.
I can’t help but think that there’s more to her aloof attitude towards me. Maybe she truly dislikes me and being my personal trainer is a burden to her. If I ask and she agrees, then I will only have to not be selfish and let her go. She is a great personal trainer, but if she doesn’t like working with me, it’ll be cruel of me not to release her.
“You have something to say to me, don’t you?” Her voice jabs me out of my thoughts and that’s when I realise I’ve been lost in thought just standing before her.
Nice one, Alora.
“Uh… yeah. Actually, I have a few questions to ask.”
“Go ahead.” She slings her bag over her shoulder and fully faces me. I’m just a few inches taller than her and damn, she’s pretty. Her emerald green eyes… jet black hair and…
Oh my God I’m zoning out again.
“Yeah! I just want to know why you hate me so much.” I blurt out without thinking because if I overthink it, I’m not going to pose the question. She creases her brows, giving me a curious look.
“You’ve not only assumed that I hate you, but you’ve assumed that I hate you sooo much.”
“Is it a lie?”
“As a matter of fact, yes, it is.” I back away in surprise.
“Really?”
“Yeah. I don’t hate you. On a very serious note, I don’t.”
“But you hate being my personal trainer.”
“That was before I got to realise you are not as weak as I thought you were. You are an outstanding student and I actually enjoy teaching you right now.” I smile.
I blush
I giggle like an idiot.
Halle complimenting me is the last thing I expected to happen during this conversation. She is full of surprises.
“Oh…” Is all I manage as I bite back my smile. “If that’s the case then why don’t you ever smile at me or talk to me or reply to me… why don’t you want to have a proper conversation with me?’
“Because I’m not that kind of person. Luna Alora, there are people like you who are very chatty and there are people who don’t like talking to others at all. I’m in that category and I believe you know a few people who are in the same category as me.”
Yeah, I do.
Reed.
“Yeah. I do.”
“Good. So that’s it. I don’t like interacting with people. I don’t do conversations. I’m sorry, but I can’t be your friend. That, however, doesn’t mean I hate you.” All I do is nod my head. “I’ll take my leave now.” She adjusts her bag and saunters out of the arena, leaving me with my mouth hanging open.
Halle will never cease to amaze me.
“I think she’s jealous of you.” Tania chips in as she approaches me with our bags. I look at her.
“I think she’s different from us. Way too different.”
“Honestly, if you were to ask me, I don’t see why you keep trying to make her your friend. Soon you won’t be seeing each other again. Also, you are the Supreme Luna, you can have as many friends as you want. Why chase someone who clearly isn’t interested?” A low groan escaped my throat.
“I have no idea. I just, you know, like her. I love her energy.”
“You love Halle’s energy?” She asks aghast.
“I know it’s weird, but… anyway. It’s not important anymore. I’ve heard her point and henceforth, I’m going to respect her decision.”
“And put her in her place whenever she’s rude to you!” Tania adds firmly and I laughed softly.
It’s safe to say that she dislikes Halle very much.
“You go home and rest.”
“Are you not coming with me?”
“No. I’m going over to the pup training centre to meet Alpha Jayce. I’ve never visited them before. I want to do so today.”
“Ah… that’s really cool.”
“Yeah. Go with one of the driver’s, I’ll come back home with Alpha Jayce.”
“Thank you Luna. See you later.”
“See you later Tania and thank you for everything.” She bows with a cheerful smile and leaves.
If only Halle could be as lively as her, then my training sessions will be a lot better.
At the training centre for pups between the ages of five to ten, I meet Alpha discussing with one of the trainers outside.
“Jayce.” I call enthusiastically as I go over to meet him. The woman he is talking with immediately bows to me.
“Good day Luna Alora.”
“Good day to you too.” She raises her head up and looks at Alpha Jayce and continues her conversation with him. There’s a big smile on her face. l.
“The pups have no idea you two are here, they will all go crazy once the two of you go in there.” I giggle and latch onto Alpha Jayce’s arm.
I have been so excited for this day to come.
I love being around pups. They are adorable and kind and so cute.
“Are you ready to go in and see your pups?” He asks and my heart flutters.
My pups.
As the Luna of the pack, all pups are mine and naturally, I love them all. I didn’t even know I loved pups as much as I do until I got crowned at Luna.
“Yes, I am.” I’m nodding like a lizard. The young woman opens the door to the arena and I can all I here is noise coming from within. The sound proof walls makes it impossible to listen to what going on in there, unless you walk in or open the door.
As we step into the arena, the noise dies down. The children immediately stop whatever it is they are doing and turn to look at us.
The silence lasts just a few seconds, because almost immediately, they start screaming and running towards us. In less than no time, there are children all around us, some crying , some holding our clothes and jumping. It’s such a wholesome sight. I burst into tears.
“Luna Alora! Alpha Jayce.” They are all chanting in unison and my heart cannot contain their cuteness.
I pick a few of them up and so does Alpha Jayce and that causes even more trouble because everyone wants to be picked up as well.
They only calm down when their tutors come over and try to calm them down and it works.
The next few hours go by with Alpha Jayce and I talking to each and every one of the children. Playing with them and they are all so cute , it makes me cry.
Right now, I’m seated on a bench resting and my attention is drawn to a little girl who’s trying to tie her shoe lace, but she keeps failing and that makes her cry out of frustration. I smile and go over to her.
“You need help?” I ask calmly, stopping by her side
“Luna.” She cries harder and falls into my arms. I picked her up and took her to the bench I was sitting on. “Don’t cry, baby. It’s okay. We are going to fix it.” I try to calm her down and she keeps nodding her head.
She’s pretty. Very pretty and her deep red curls are everything.
“Anything the matter?” Alpha Jayce’s familiar voice comes through. I point to the little girl’s feet. She’s sitting on my lap.
“Her shoe lace. Please help us get them tied.”
“Alpha daddy is on it.” He stoops on his knees and it takes him no time to put the lace in place. Immediately it’s done, the little girl slips out of my arms and runs away. I giggle as I watch her join her friends.
Alpha Jayce sits by my side.
“They are too cute.” I remark. He pulls me into his arms and kisses my hair.
“How many would you like to have?” My body tenses in his arms. He notices my shocked reaction and his body shakes with laughter.
I pull away from his arms and watch him laugh with a scorn on my face, but it completely disappears when my eyes meet his.
“Five.” He almost chokes on his saliva. He looks at me with eyes wide open.
“Five? Wow! I like that.”
“Do you?”
“Yeah.”
“How many would you love to have?” I ask.
“As many as you can give me. I want our home filled with pups. I want us to have so many of them.” I Laugh and fall back into his arms.
“Me too.”
And I mean it.
I want to have as many children as I can have with him.
