CHAPTER SIXTY.

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Alora’S POV.
Halle almost killed Tania and I today. It seems the little feud we had that morning took a toll on her. She made us train for hours without any short breaks and only gave us thirty minutes of long break. By the time it was time for us to stop for the day, I couldn’t feel any part of my body and so did Tania.
I felt like I’d been run over by a trailer.
I arrived home with the help of my personal guards. It took me more than thirty minutes to ascend the stairs leading to the bedroom.
Halle’s going to kill me before I finish my training and I still have no idea why she hates me so much!
After taking my bath, I slept for the rest of the day. By the time I wake up, Alpha Jayce is seated by my side, watching me sleep and it seems he’s been here for a while.
“Jayce.” I call sleepily as I struggle to sit upright on the bed. He breaks into a cheerful smile.
“Hello, Sunshine.” Shyness overcomes me. Jayce gives me new sweet names on a daily basis.
“Has it been long since you arrived?”
“No.” He’s still smiling and looking me straight in the eye. “Just about two hours ago.”
“Two hours?” I ask, aghast. “Please don’t tell me you’ve been watching me sleep for two hours.” I beg with all my heart, hoping he didn’t. He chuckles, licks his lips and takes my hands in his.
I take that a yes.
“No, you didn’t!”
“I couldn’t help it.” Kisses my hands. “When I walked in and saw you sleeping on the bed, I tried not to sit down and watch, but failed. You look so beautiful and I couldn’t miss the chance to watch you sleep peacefully.” Blood flushes to cheeks, making them warm and red. I’m blushing so hard and I don’t know what to do with myself right now. “How was training today? How’s your ankle?” He changes the topic and I sigh in relief.
“First things first, my entire body aches! I can’t feel any of my joints.”
“You need to take some days off…”
“No…”
“Alora listen.” His voice is calm and smooth as he cuts me off. I shut my mouth and listen to him.
“I know you are excited for this training, but you can’t keep doing this every single day. I’m sorry, I was supposed to tell you this before you even started, but it skipped my mind.”
“Tell me what?”
“You can’t go for sport training for three days in a row just yet. Your body is still trying to understand your change of activities and exercising means you are putting stress on every muscle in your body, so it needs time to recuperate. For a beginner like you, three times in a week is enough. You can add up the days as you get more experienced, but right now, working out every single day in a week will cause you more harm than good. I’m not saying this because I want to stop you from training. It’s the truth.” I pout my lips and flash him a shy look.
What he said makes a lot of sense.
He’s right.
“I was just excited to do something different.”
“I completely understand, my love. But you don’t have to be in a haste. You’ll learn everything you need to learn bit by bit.” I smile. It’s a genuine smile.
“Understood.”
“That’s my girl. What about your personal trainer, Halle, is she still mean?” Memories of everything Tania and I went through in Halle’s hands earlier today crosses my mind and I shudder.
“She is.” I say, nodding my head. “This morning, we had a little misunderstanding and she got so upset. She almost killed Tania and I with workouts today. I don’t understand how a girl as young as her will be so bitter about everything. I hope she’s alright.” I see his face grow darker as I explain my ordeal.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to fire her?”
“Nope. I’m going to figure her out and get close to her. I must find out what’s making her too sour and I must try to help her. That’s why I’m her Luna.”
“You can do that without her being your trainer.”
“Have you met Halle one on one? She doesn’t open up to anyone!”
“Then how do you intend to make her talk to you?”
“I have my ways.” I get down from the bed. “Enough about Halle and my training, go take a bath while I help the cooks make you something to eat.”
“Yes Ma’am!” He rises from the stool he was sitting on while I exit the bedroom.
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that he’s going to have a talk with Halle tomorrow.

Jayce’S POV.
“Good morning Alpha Jayce.” Halle, Alora’s personal trainer greets me the moment I walk into the arena.
I was able to convince Alora to take a day off and I told her I’ll instruct someone to tell Halle not to come for training, but I didn’t. I wanted to meet the girl and have a one on one talk with her.
“Halle, is it?”
“Yes, Alpha.” I take out some time to study her. She’s tall, slender and has a very pretty face. She looks very fit and from her face, one can tell she’s not the type to smile often.
“Do you have anything bothering you? Like something you need me to intervene in?”
“I… I don’t think I follow, Alpha.”
“Do you have issues? Do you need help, financially, morally? Physically? Is there anything you would need me to do for you as your Alpha?” I ask, trying to be as calm as I can be despite the fact that I’m boiling within.
I’m mad at her for treating Alora so badly, but then again, I can’t scold her because the news will reach Alora and she will be very upset with me.
I don’t want her to be upset with me.
“No Alpha. I don’t need help of any sort.”
“Hmmm…” I mumble. “I see.” I take a step forward, giving her a critical look. “What about my mate, Alora, who happens to be your Luna. What did she do to make you hate her so much?”
“I… I don’t hate Luna Alora.”
“She has explained to me how you treat and talk to her here during training and I feel like you have a grudge against her. If you don’t, then I really want to know why you don’t have the common courtesy of being friendly and welcoming to her. Why can’t you even pretend to be nice to her? Did she do something wrong?”
“No, she didn’t.”
“Then tell me why you treat her so badly.” Halle goes speechless. Several seconds go by and she doesn’t answer my question. “Not that this will mean anything to you, but she likes you. She feels like you need help and she wants to help you. Maybe you dislike the idea of being her trainer, that could be what’s making you so grumpy, but that’s the price of being the best female trainer. You get entrusted with training very important personalities who suck at what you do, but don’t underestimate Alora. She’s willing to learn what you have to teach her and she’ll learn well. She’ll become a lot better than she is now and you will take credit for being the one who trained her.”
“What if I don’t want to train her?’ she asks quietly.
I look at her in surprise.
“That’s your problem with her then. You do not want to be her personal trainer.”
“I don’t.”
“Why, if I may?”
“Because I’m scared of her. She’s the Luna of this pack and I’ll be scared to do the things I normally do with regular trainees for fear of hurting her and getting punished.”
“Do you have any idea how much you hurt her today? She can’t get up from bed. All her bones are hurting. She had to beg me not to have you punished.”
“I’m sorry Alpha. I went too far.”
“Alora is just like every other trainee youve had. You need to train her the right way so she can learn what she has to learn. She knows about the pain, she’s ready to feel it. She’s ready to endure every rigorous training you have for her. That’s because she wants to learn from you, who she believes is the best, but you are making that dream of hers crumble by being so mean and cold to her. I don’t think one can die from showing kindness to other people.”
“I’m sorry, Alpha.”
“You are apologising to the wrong audience. You have to tender that apology to Alora and I’ll be waiting for feedback on your improvement in attitude towards her. Have a nice day.” I signal my guards, two of them lead the way out of the Arena.
I hope she gets better, because I won’t condone anyone treating my mate poorly.
She’s the best and she deserves the best treatment.
