CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN.

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Alora’S POV.
It’s morning and I feel like Alpha Jayce and I never even had a problem. Last night, after he apologized and I forgave him, we had dinner together and he cuddled me all night.
It’s actually impossible for me to stay mad at the guy.
He’s the sweetest!
I step out of the walk-in closet and meet Alpha Jayce who’s already dressed up for work. He looks clean and meticulous as always.
“Do you always have to look so good everyday?” I ask, plastering a fake frown on my face. I can only imagine the number of girls that swoon over him. It makes my heart hurt to know that other girls desire him.
Girls like Skye.
Speaking of Skye, the next time I meet with her, I’m going to give her a piece of my mind.
“I could ask you the same question.”
“What do you mean by that?” Now, my frown is serious. “I have on a pair of miserable joggings and a boring t-shirt. My hairstyle is ridiculous. I look like a hot mess this morning.” I complain and he chuckles lightly as he walks closer to me. His cologne is assaulting my senses. He smells so clean, so fresh, I could eat him whole.
“It means you look good in everything!” He pulls me into his arms and plants a soft kiss on my forehead. I melt.
“Are you trying to flatter me?”
“Nope. I’m telling you the honest truth.” I smile so hard, my cheeks hurt. I look up into his beautiful brown eyes which almost drown me. I don’t mind drowning in them though. “Must you go for training today? You have a sprained ankle.”
“My ankle is just fine, Alpha. I promise.”
“I know it is, but I just want to make sure complications do not arise later on because of the stress you are putting it to. Three days, Alora. Stay at home for three days and take care of your ankle.” I laugh.
I laugh so hard and step away from him. He looks very cute trying to talk me out of going for my training.
“Don’t you want me to get stronger?” I tease.
“Not at the expense of your health. I’m only letting you do that because you like it. I am more than capable of protecting you myself.”
“Jayce.” I call. He pauses, surprise flashes in his eyes.
This is the first time I’m calling him just by his name.
“Say that again.”
“Alpha Jayce.”
“No.” He shakes his head. What you said before that. Call my name without my title.“
“Jayce!” I call again and his hand flies to his chest, tapping it with a cheerful smile on his face.
“Again, please.”
“Jayce.” He hugs and kisses me.
Why is he so excited that I called him by his name?
“Why are you so excited that I called you Jayce?” I ask, giggling as I look into his starling brown eyes that are glittering.
“Apart from the fact that it’s the first time you are doing so, it sounds really sexy when you call me Jayce. It makes me feel nice. Complete. Can you please call me Jayce from now on? No formalities. No title. Please.”
“Is that what you want?”
“It’s what I crave, baby. I’ve been wanting to say this to you, but I didn’t want to sound too impulsive. Please call me Jayce or any other sweet name. Anything but Alpha Jayce.”
“So…” I slowly lick my bottom lip, giving him a very soft look that could pass as a seductive look. “SweeAlorart, baby, my love, papa bear will do?”
“My heart is melting right now Alora. I would sing if you’d address me with any of the names you just mentioned now. You have no idea what it does to my heart.” This man is full of surprises.
I never addressed him with sweet names because I thought they’d offend him, but now that I know they don’t, he’s going to beg me to stop.
“Alright then, henceforth, I’ll address you as Jayce and once in a while, I’ll call you sweet names.”
“How about you call me sweet names more often and Jayce once in a while?” I chuckle at his attempt to negotiate.
No doubt he’s such a successful leader and businessman. The guy has got brains.
“Don’t push your luck. We’ve had enough chit-chat for the morning. Let’s get to our respective locations.”
“Since you’ve insisted on going for your training, can we at least drive together? I’ll drop you off at the training centre before coming back to my office.”
“I don’t mind you doing that.” I pick my bag from the bed and lead the way out of the bedroom.
When Jayce first brought me here, I thought it’d take years for me to muster up the courage to feel relaxed around him. I thought it’d take ages for me to be able to talk to him like he was my equal, but now, I realise I had thought wrong.
It’s been barely one month and here we are, interacting like we’ve known each other all out lives.
It feels nice. It feels really nice.
******************************************
Tania and I arrive at the training arena where Halle is already waiting for us. Luckily for us, we are quite early today so we won’t be getting any scolding from her.
“Good morning Halle.” I greet them with a smile. Tania does the same.
The stern look on Halle’s face does not change. She rises from the bench she was occupying.
“Good morning.” She mumbles under her breath. “You have an injured ankle. Why don’t you just stay at home and save us all the stress of coming here to train?” Halle rudely asks and I smile.
I chuckle.
I want to laugh, but I’ll sound too rude so I stop and look at her.
“Well, it’s a good thing I’m the one in control. Even if I have a broken leg and I say come for training, you will come, whether you like it or not.”
Yeah.
I know I sound like a bitch right now, but a girl has got to stand up for herself. Halle has been a bitch to me from the first day I walked in here.
Tania and I go into the dressing room to change.
“You have no idea how happy I am that you finally gave Halle a piece of your mind. She was getting out of hand.”
“I stooped to her level, Tania and that isn’t something to be praised for doing.”
“If you’d ask me, I’d say she deserves what she got.”
Tania and her energy.
I calmly nod my head as I ride on with changing my outfit.
All I wish is for Halle and I to be on good terms.
What exactly did I do to make her hate me so much?
