CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

Book:THE SUPREME ALPHA'S HATED LUNA Published:2024-11-20

Alora’S POV.
I’m seated on the bed, all dressed up and waiting for Alpha Jayce like a five year old who can’t wait for her father to return home so she can show her new hairstyle. I’m giddy and I can hardly keep my butt on the bed. This will be the first time I’ll be spending a whole lot of hours with him outdoors. I have no idea what I’m going to say, or how I’m going to behave in his presence, but all I know is that I’m happy. Also, the fact that he’s going to mark me tonight just makes everything feel a lot better.
My heart rate skyrockets when a knock sounds on the room door.
Alpha Jayce is here.
“Come in.” I announce and immediately, the door creaks open and his easy grin dances into the room before he follows. I quickly rise to my feet and I almost melt under gaze. My heart stops when he stops walking and his eyes hover all over my body. My face grows hot as I suddenly get very self conscious.
Am I well dressed?
Do I look good?
Is he impressed by what I am wearing?
Those questions flood my mind and I sink my teeth into my bottom lip.
“Don’t do that.” His calm warning comes through. I look up at him, confused.
“Hmmm.” I mumble with a lost look in my eyes. What’s he stopping me from doing?
“Your bottom lip. Stop sinking your teeth into it. You are tempting me.” Blood rushes up to my face, making it all red and I chuckle shyly.
This man and his charming words.
“You look ravishing.” He compliments me and I feel like eighty pounds of worry have been uplifted from my shoulders. I look up and flash him an even brighter smile.
“Do you like it?” I ask with uncertainty. He eats up the distance between us. His eyes are zeroed on me. The back of my neck heats.
“I love it.” His breath hits my face. He smells clean and fresh and his manly cologne is assaulting my senses. I almost moan when his fingers graze my skin as he pushes a few strands of hair behind my ear. “Your auburn hair lights up this entire room. You have the most bewitching smile in the entire world and this dress, this dress should thank you for wearing it. You are everything charming and beautiful and nice, Alora, and for the hundredth time, I am honoured to have you as my mate.” His baritone voice deciphers and his thumb is calmly stroking my cheek and his eyes are boring deep into my face and he’s smiling at me and I’m wondering why I haven’t evaporated into nothingness.
He stirs something deep within me, making a heat pool in my belly.
I want to tell him thank you, but I can’t find my voice and the words have evaporated from my mind and all I can do is smile like an idiot. My insides melt when he plants a kiss on my forehead.
I’m going to die of euphoria if he doesn’t stop doing and saying all these sweet things.
“Shall we?” I nod like a lizard. I still have that stupid smile on my face. My words always betray me by running away when I need them the most. “I look forward to having an amazing day with you Alora.”
“Me too.”
Oh, so the words have finally returned.
Screw them!
Alpha Jayce leads the way out of the bedroom and downstairs and when we go out into the castle premises, there seems to be a car already waiting for us with the Beta, LLoyd standing by the driver’s seat. It looks like he’ll be our chauffeur for the day and again, I do not know what car it is, but I’m sure it must have cost a fortune.
Alpha Jayce has a knack for big and expensive cars.
“LLoyd, I told you we’ll be fine on our own.” Alpha Jayce walks over to LLoyd.
“I know you will, but still, I’m not letting my Alpha and Luna go out there without any security.” He says curtly and Alpha Jayce seems to give up because he opens the passenger seat door and beckons me to get in. I do and he closes the door and circles the car and gets in through the other door. Once we are all strapped in, LLoyd takes off and I start playing with my fingers.
“Are you comfortable?” I look up at him and nod.
“Yes.”
“Cool. You can talk to me, you know, I don’t bite.” His voice does something to my heart rate and I find myself laughing softly.
“I know, but I just don’t have anything reasonable to say.”
“I want to hear the unreasonable ones, even though I doubt they are.” My body shakes with silent laughter. He’s giving me this very amused look that makes me want to melt. “So tell me.”
“Well…firstly, I’m excited about going out with you. This is actually the first time I’m doing something like this and I never thought it’ll be with someone like you.”
“Someone like me.” He repeats my statement. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You are the Supreme Alpha. I never imagined I’d be mated to you.”
“Ah… I see.”
“Yeah.”
“Your excitement is not unreasonable, Alora. I’m actually happy that you are excited to go out with me and now that I’m aware of the fact that you love going out with me, I’ll make sure to arrange outings like this more often. How does that sound?” I smile so hard that my cheeks hurt. It makes him laugh even and it feels like the sky has parted and the heavens have blessed us with a miracle.
This man is everything I swear.
“It sounds perfect. Thank you.” I finally say the words I was supposed to say about twenty minutes ago. He brings my hands to his lips and kisses them and breaks out in a genuine smile.
He’s warm and sweet and precious and I love him.
I love him so much that I might die if we were to ever get separated.
The rest of the ride goes on in comfortable silence. I look out through the window and watch the city buildings glide past us as the car moves forward. The Supreme Pack is highly developed. Every building is so big and tall, the cars on the streets do not look cheap, the people themselves look very happy and that’s proof that my mate is leading them as he should. I’m so proud of him.
I’m tempted to ask him where we are going, but I don’t because I want it to be a surprise.
A few minutes later, LLoyd pulls into a driveway and I look at Alpha Jayce who is smiling at me.
“We are here.”
My eyes widen as I crane my neck to look around through the window. “Where are we?”
“Why don’t we go in so you’ll see?” LLoyd opens his seatdoor and he steps out of the car. I don’t know what to do with myself as I wait for him to open my seat door. My heart feels like a war drum against my chest.
Today is going to be a blast. I can feel it.
