Alora’S POV.
I have no idea what came over me last night. I was so bold and I could hardly believe it. I still can’t. I offered to run Alpha Jayce a bath. Where did that even come from?
The day before yesterday, I couldn’t even be in the room when he was taking a shower or getting dressed up in the closet, but yesterday, I was different and I don’t know if it’s good or a bad thing that I’m starting to warm up to him.
Alpha Jayce has been nothing but kind and patient with me ever since he brought me here. He hasn’t pressured me into doing anything I don’t want to do.
The first few days, I was so shy and scared because I thought I was dreaming, but after staying here for almost two weeks and waking up every morning in a king-sized bed and having ten servants attending to my every need, I finally realised none of this is a dream.
I am mated to the supreme Alpha.
After the coronation ceremony which is to take place this weekend, I will be the not only the Luna of this pack, but the Supreme Luna of the entire werewolf world. That is a huge responsibility I will be carrying on my shoulders and being shy and scared won’t do me any good. I have to get out of my shell.
I know I had a difficult past, but I won’t let that define me. I used to be scared of other people because of how I was treated back at Daphne’s father’s house. Right now, I don’t have to be scared of anyone anymore. When I start my Luna training, I’ll make sure to learn everything there is to know about ruling as the Supreme Luna. I will make subjects of all the other packs, including their Alpha’s, know that I am fit for this role and above all, I will make my mate proud. I’ll Make sure he never regrets having me as his mate.
I’m going to excel in this pack.
I rise from the bed when Alpha Jayce steps out of the closet, all dressed up for work. He looks handsome as always and I’m blushing because it’s hard to believe that he is mine alone.
“You look amazing.” I shyly compliment him. He flashes me a cute smile as he walks over to me.
“All thanks to you. You have a great taste in fashion, love. Were you a fashion designer in your past life?” I burst into laughter as I gave a light push on the shoulder.
“Go away!”
“I’m going nowhere!” My body tenses when he calmly slicks his hand around my waist and pulls me closer to him. Our bodies crash against each other and Sparks fly all over my body. My knees have earned the right to tremble. I look up at him and he has a serious look on. His cologne is assaulting my senses and his breath smells so fresh, I wonder what it feels like to kiss his lips.
Kiss his lips.
I break a sweat just thinking about that. My heart starts hammering in my chest.
When is he ever going to kiss me? Is he ever going to do it all? He treats me like some fragile and precious gift he is afraid to lose.
“I look amazing all thanks to my amazing mate and soon to be wife, Luna.”
Wife.
Luna.
Those two words drive my nerves in total disarray.
I’m back to thinking this could all be a dream, but I snap out of that trance when I feel his soft lips on my forehead. I place both plans on his chest and close my eyes. I have to stop being so afraid and let myself enjoy these sweet moments.
This is not a dream.
I am actually standing here with my mate, in his bedroom. Our bodies are glued to each other and he is kissing my forehead because he is head over heels for me. He is in love with me.
This is reality.
A wave of disappointment washes through me when he steps away after the very passionate forehead kiss. I want him to do it again, but I don’t have the courage to ask. I wish I could be in his arms all day. I love it when he holds me in his arms.
“Designers will come over later in the day. They are going to bring several outfits and jewellery for you to choose from and they’ll also help you out. Make sure to have fun.”
Wait what?
Why is he talking so fast?
Designers?
“Designers?” I ask, confused and he flashes me a smile.
“Yes love, designers. They will be here to help you choose what to wear.”
“Is… will that.. will…” I stutter nervously. “Is that necessary?”
“Yes, it is.” He sits on the couch in the sitting area and takes up the cup of coffee and sips before looking back at me.
“It’s your party. You’ll have to look your best. The designers will make sure of that.”
“O…kayy…” is all I manage as I foolishly nod my head.
“They will be ready to serve you however you want and report to me anyone who tried to be rude or condescending.” He empties the cup of coffee and rises to his feet. “I have to go now.”
I quietly walk him to the door where he gives me another memorable forehead kiss before leaving the bedroom. I close the door behind me and lean against it, letting out a sad sigh.
Another day to spend ten hours without seeing his face.

Jayce’S POV.
I walk into my office and meet Lloyd and Reed already waiting for him. The moment they see me, they both bow and greet me. I simply nod and go over to my work space where I slump in my seat and swivel the chair from left to right.
“How are the preparations going?”
“Smoothly.” Lloyd is the first to answer. Reed is standing by his side and I can feel the tension between them.
They must have had a fight.
These two will never change.
“Good. Lloyd, I stamped all the invitations yesterday so you can assign guards to distribute them to all the households in the pack.”
“I will get to it the moment I’m dismissed from here.” Lloyd confirms.
“And for you Reed, I want you to reach out to the person in charge of the decoration of the hall…”
“That’s the event planner’s job! I’m not going to be in charge of decoration!” He objects and I’m not surprised at all. I am not ready for his temper this morning so I raise both hands in the air as a sign that I have surrendered.
“Do whatever the hell you want.”
“May I be dismissed.” I simply show him the door and he walks out, murmuring incoherent words and I’m tempted to laugh.
“That was disrespectful of him.” Lloyd points out and I rub my forehead with my fingers. It’s only eight am in the morning and I’m already tired because of that short conversation with Reed. I have more meetings with him later in the day, so today is not going to be a very good day for him.
“Forget about Reed and concentrate on your work, Lloyd. You and I know there’s nothing that can be done about that attitude of his. At least we can count on the fact that whatever it is he has chosen to handle, he’s gonna get it done perfectly. You are dismissed.” Lloyd storms out of the office and I lean on the backrest of the chair and wipe my hand over my face.
I need more strength and wisdom to deal with these two.
Why can’t they just be on good terms for once in their lives?
