Olivia’s POV
I was up early in the morning. I turned to look at Andre and found him still sleeping. I smiled as I watched him and attempted to brush the hair covering his face. However, I hesitated because I was afraid that I would wake him up from sleep.
I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a cold shower. I had my training session today with Grayson and Sephora, and I didn’t want to be late. The water’s cold spray sent refreshing chills down my spine and fully woke me up into a new day.
I crept out of the bathroom and dressed in my leather armour. As I was fastening the girdle, I heard a deep, husky voice behind me.
“Wow, I think I like this on you.”
I turned around to see Andre sitting up, admiring me with a smile on his face. I beamed back at him warmly and stood before him in my armour. I watched his eyes wash over me desirously.
“Hey,” I said, trying to bring back his attention. “This is for training; it’s not lingerie.”
“You don’t need to wear lingerie to look sexy, princess. Every second I look at you, you look better and better.”
His words warmed my heart, and just as I was about to try to go over to him to give him a kiss, I felt a salty taste in my mouth. I stopped and held my tummy in pain. What was happening to me?
I began to swallow as much saliva as I could, but the salty feeling did not disappear. I felt something move up, and I rushed to the bathroom.
I began to throw up painfully as I held my stomach in agony.
I was in the bathroom for a long time, and Andre even began to call out to me.
“Olivia, are you okay?”
I was about to answer him, but a new round of hurling silenced me, and I continued to remain bent over the toilet bowl.
Finally, it all ended, and as I cleaned up my face, Andre rushed in. His eyes were wide with worry as he looked at my slightly pale face.
“Olivia, what’s wrong?”
I dried my face with a towel and turned to speak to him.
“I don’t know. Probably it’s the hormone pills that I’ve been taking.”
Andre still looked worried and dissatisfied with my answer.
“Is that all that you’re feeling? Any numbness or pain anywhere?”
I shook my head.
“I don’t feel any of that. I have just been feeling a little uneasy and restless. Maybe dizzy once in a while. I have been having a little fever. But it comes and goes, and I have never really counted it as anything alarming.”
Andre pulled me close to him and gave me a tight hug. Having his hard body pressed against mine made me feel a whole lot better, and the uneasiness and restlessness began to ebb away.
“Olivia, I am really worried about you. If I remember correctly, the first time you threw up, you said that it was because you ate too much at the party. Now, we have no idea what is causing it.”
“Andre, you don’t have to worry about me. It’s probably an allergic reaction to the medication. It’s only been two days since I started taking them. Maybe if we give it a little time, my body will get used to the medication, and I won’t be feeling all these symptoms. You said, after all, that slight dizziness and maybe gastro-intestinal problems would be a minor side effect.”
Andre was still dissatisfied, and he looked at me with narrowed eyes of worry as he scanned my face and body for any other symptoms.
I tried my best to reassure him that I was fine except for the slight pale look in my appearance and the fact that I had thrown up just a few minutes ago.
“We are going to stop back at the medical institute and have you checked up again. I feel something is wrong with you, and I am not going to take any chances with my little princess.”
I groaned and rolled my eyes. All of this was unnecessary, but Andre didn’t have any of it. His glare cemented the finality of his words, and I knew I had lost this battle.
“Fine, I will go. But I need to go for my training today. Sephora and Grayson are going to wonder where I am, and I don’t want to be behind with my training.”
Andre looked at me as if I had just said something blasphemous.
“Olivia, you aren’t well. I think you can skip training for today and get some rest.”
I pouted and began to groan angrily. I was fine, and I was certain that I could train just as well. Today, we were supposed to start our lessons in hand-to-hand combat, and we had been looking forward to it all week.
“Andre, you don’t have to dote on me like this. I feel fine. I promise. I just don’t want to miss today’s training.”
I continued to murmur softly to him, calling on every power available to me to sway his decision not to confine me to bed.
“Please, please, please…”
“Alright, fine.”
Andre had had enough of my begging, and he kissed my forehead softly.
“You can continue your training for today, but we are going to see the doctor soon, and I will not let you talk me out of it. Agreed?”
I was so happy that I almost did a little dance, but I regained control of my body and beamed happily at Andre.
“Agreed. I promise I won’t stop you from taking me to see the doctor and…”
Knock! Knock! Knock!
We headed out of the bathroom, and Andre walked to the door. He opened it and saw a maid standing there.
“Good morning, Alpha, Miss Olivia. Mr Grayson and Miss Sephora are here.”
Andre gave a nod to the maid, and she left. We were alone again.
He turned to me, all smiles.
“I guess that’s my cue to leave…”
