Lion had already set the precedent, so Rosalind wasn’t exactly stepping out of line.
“Really! Yay!” Natalie cheered and then began to eat voraciously.
Rosalind glanced at Brandon who, although he had relaxed a bit more than before, was clearly still cautious.
In the workplace, people like him were obviously more likely to get ahead.
But there was nothing wrong with people like Natalie either-carefree and never weary.
After they finished their meal, Rosalind took them for a walk around the area before returning to the hotel.
She had planned to rest before discussing work, but Brandon’s materials were already sent over, making it seem as though she, the boss, was not very proactive.
Left with no choice, she grabbed her laptop and headed to the hotel’s small conference room, which she had already rented.
It was mainly because it would be inconvenient to work in anyone’s room among the three of them.
As she passed through the hotel lobby, she was about to call Natalie when she caught a glimpse of a figure out of the corner of her eye, someone familiar.
But by the time she blinked, the person was gone.
No, she wasn’t even sure if the figure had really been there!
Because that figure looked just like Ulric…
But he shouldn’t be appearing in Jingtown, not by such a coincidence.
“Miss Ruell.”
Brandon was the first to approach her as he came down.
Rosalind nodded slightly, “Natalie? Have you contacted her?”
“Yes, she ate too much spicy food just now and her stomach is upset. I told her to come down as soon as possible.”
“Is it serious? Should we go to the hospital?”
“Let’s ask her later, I’m not sure,” Brandon said, his eyes unconsciously drifting towards Rosalind’s face, which he had tried to restrain several times.
She was truly beautiful.
The kind that would attract anyone of the opposite sex just by her face!
Rosalind had a pure and simple beauty, undeniably the epitome of pure desire, a type that men would undoubtedly like.
Even though she was much older than him and his boss, he should have no thoughts about her, but he just couldn’t help but keep his eyes on her.
During their conversation, Natalie came downstairs, clutching her stomach in discomfort.
Rosalind quickly went to her, “Are you feeling that bad?”
“Yeah… I ate too much spicy food; I might have gastritis.”
“What should we do! I’ll take you to the hospital,” Rosalind said, then looked at Brandon, “Let’s skip work for today; you go rest, and I’ll take her to the hospital.”
Brandon paused, then came over and lifted Natalie in a carry.
“It’s not convenient for you two women to go alone; I’ll come with you.”
“Okay,” Rosalind nodded without any pleasantries.
After they left, a figure slowly emerged from behind a column in the hotel lobby, watching the direction they had gone.
Ulric pursed his lips, subconsciously wanting to follow, but he paused, reminding himself of his identity and position.
He had already crossed a line by rushing to the hotel after hearing Rosalind’s voice; he couldn’t follow them.
Holding his room card, Ulric turned to head back to his room.
Suddenly-
He took a deep breath, as if making an important decision, then quickly followed the path Rosalind and the others had taken.
