Chapter 633: Don’t I Have Inner Beauty?

“Harriet Hamilton’s birthday party is tomorrow, do you want to go?” Flynn asked lazily as he leaned on the sofa.
Sitting on a yoga mat, stretching, Scarlet replied, “I barely know her, we’ve only met once. Why should I go?”
“Besides, she’s about to head to Pelens, surely she’ll have a lot of secrets to share with you. Wouldn’t I just be getting in the way?”
“I really don’t see what’s so great about you, with so many girls liking you.”
Scarlet, with a hint of jealousy, rolled up her yoga mat and walked over to the water cooler to fill a cup, gulping it down thirstily.
Flynn touched his buzz cut and countered, “Am I not handsome?”
“Pfft,” Scarlet pursed her lips and said softly, “Your skin isn’t fair, you look average, not ugly but definitely not handsome.”
“I don’t even know what I saw in you to let you push me around.”
“At least you look quite manly dressed in a suit.”
The conditions at Demon Island Prison were harsh, with constant sea winds and poor sunlight.
Flynn was dragged out daily by a mad old man for strenuous training, chopping waves and battling numerous villains, his hardship was imaginable.
Having spent ten years there, it was natural that Flynn’s skin was less than perfect.
When he arrived in Niarak, his skin was dark, his hands were calloused, his arms veined, and dressed casually, he looked like a farmer who tilled the fields.
Furthermore, assuming Flynn had married into the Kaur family for convenience, Scarlet naturally looked down on him.
Who would have thought that this guy was actually so strong and knew so many influential people?
After spending so much time together and experiencing so much, Scarlet had grown dependent on Flynn.
Especially when she and Rose were kidnapped to Northview, and Flynn was surrounded by snipers during their rescue, Scarlet was extremely anxious.
When Flynn went to Cloudgate Mountain, she felt as if the sky had fallen, crying until her eyes were swollen.
At that moment, she knew she was hopelessly in love with Flynn.
Because of this, Scarlet rarely contacted Madeline anymore.
Firstly, they were both busy with their careers, and secondly, Flynn came between them.
She couldn’t even dare to think what Madeline’s reaction would be once she realized Flynn’s capabilities.
Perhaps in a couple of days, everything would come out in the open…
“Being with you, do you ever suspect I’m materialistic?”
“Whether it’s materialistic or not, I don’t know, but you are definitely beautiful,” Flynn said with a slight smile, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Scarlet rolled her eyes and pushed him away, saying, “Sounds like I’m after your money and you’re after my looks, how cheap.”
“Just seeing the beauty, don’t I have any inner beauty?”
Ultimately, she felt she hadn’t wronged Madeline.
The fraud by Alan Davies, the Ponocord Bay land, the Acebegron Clear Relief scandal.
And Callie Pearce’s party.
She had advised Madeline about all of it.
Yet Madeline never believed her, always judging Flynn by her past perceptions.
Scarlet had done her best.
“Inner beauty? That’s good too,” Flynn grinned teasingly.
Taken aback, Scarlet saw Flynn looking at her chest and her face darkened immediately, her fist landing a punch on him as she huffed, “I’m talking about serious things, and you’re not being serious at all.”
After saying this, she sat up straight, her voice softening:
“Poor Harriet Hamilton, not seeing her biological father for twenty years. When he finally shows up to acknowledge her, he just uses her as a tool.”
“Married off to a man she never met, and only as a concubine.”
She had heard a bit about Stellan Wallace’s character, impeccable in martial arts for sure.
Not yet thirty and already a Great Grandmaster, adored by the people of Shipmeda State.
Thanks to him, the Wallace family had surpassed the Hussain family of Lilia to become the foremost family of Ipholn.
But this man was too perverse in nature, treating women as playthings.
His character was despicable.
Harriet Hamilton, with no background or power, would not be regarded as a person if she married into that family.
The outcome was predictable.
“It’s fine, I’m here, she won’t go to Pelens,” Flynn said indifferently.
It seemed like an ordinary matter to him; he really wasn’t worried at all.
Scarlet, however, was stunned and said with some disbelief:
“Are you going to confront Zion directly?”
“Mr. Clark, I know you have connections with many influential people, and the Fletcher family is a major force in Eahta.”
“But you should know that Zion is no pushover.”
“If the Hussain family were only known for their business achievements, you wouldn’t need to fear him.”
“But he has too many friends among the cultivators, not to mention the Wallace family; his father-in-law is not someone you can provoke.”
“And I’ve heard his father-in-law is only half a step away from becoming a Lesser Sovereign; he could advance at any time, you…”
Listening to Scarlet’s incessant warnings, Flynn’s ears were nearly calloused, clearly, she didn’t believe a thing about what happened at Cloudgate Mountain.
“Alright, I’ll just talk to him properly, okay?” Flynn interrupted, his eyes flashing with disdain.
He was too lazy to explain further, repeating his stance: if Zion dared to force Harriet Hamilton, he would leave Zion’s life in Niarak.
To ordinary people, Zion was an untouchable figure.
They wouldn’t even dare meet his gaze, but in Flynn’s eyes, he was less than an ant.
If it weren’t for Harriet Hamilton, he wouldn’t bother dealing with such people.
Scarlet nodded, advising, “That’s more like it; when you reveal your identity, Zion will surely take your words seriously.”
“Hmm, I smell of herbs; I’m going to take a shower,” Flynn said as he got up and headed straight for the bathroom.
He first filled the bathtub with water, soaking to remove the herbal scent from his body.
Then, applying body wash, he was in the midst of scrubbing up when the bathroom door opened.
Scarlet, holding a clean set of pajamas and smiling, said:
“Your Majesty, aren’t you done yet? Shall your servant help you change?”
At some point, she had changed into a loose-fitting pajama set tied at the waist with a pink ribbon, the neckline quite open, revealing much of her ample, white chest.
Her sudden appearance startled Flynn, who reflexively covered his lower body.
Seeing Flynn’s reaction, Scarlet smiled and teased, “It’s not like you haven’t seen it before, why the shyness now?”
Her gaze boldly traveled over Flynn’s body as she raised an eyebrow and commented:
“Wow, I didn’t realize-nice butt.”
Flynn, irritated yet playful, responded:
“Not as big as yours.”
Scarlet rolled her eyes, seeing Flynn start to scrub his body, she couldn’t help but laugh:
“Are you done just like that? You’ve still got soap on your back!”
“Why the rush? Come on, let me help you.”
With that, she pinched the pink ribbon at her waist and gave a gentle tug, the one-piece pajama falling to the floor, revealing all.
Mountains and valleys, plains and grasslands laid bare.
Flynn’s eyes widened.
Truly, a little temptress!
Scarlet giggled, glancing at Flynn and couldn’t help but cover her mouth, “Oh, there’s a reaction there.”
Flynn, not to be outdone, grinned back: “You seem pretty eager yourself, with the essential oils all ready.”
His eyes landed on an unopened bottle of essential oil quietly standing on the washbasin.
Scarlet paused, reminded of what she had said to Flynn that morning, and her face turned red.
