Chapter 1141

The salesperson stared at the card in shock for a long moment before snapping back to reality. He carefully took the card with both hands, excitedly saying, “Please wait a moment.”
He rushed to the manager’s office, barely able to contain his excitement. “Manager, manager! Look… look! VIP! Top-level!”
The manager was reviewing recent sales data on his computer and was initially irritated by the salesperson’s frantic behavior. “Can’t you speak properly? It’s just a VIP!”
He glanced up at the salesperson and then almost jumped out of his chair. “Oh my God! It’s a top-level card! Why didn’t you say so earlier?”
He grabbed the top-level VIP card and examined it closely. After a while, he sat back down. “Top-level cards have serial numbers. We can look up the customer’s information!”
With that, he logged into the system and started typing furiously.
“Oh my… I can’t believe I’m seeing SEVEN, the car god! Is this real?”
He was in a daze, staring at SEVEN’s title for a long time.
The salesperson urged him, “Manager, the customer is still waiting outside!”
“Right, right. Let’s go.” The manager took the card and led the salesperson to Sylvia. He looked at Sylvia with near reverence. “Car god… car god SEVEN… hello.”
He couldn’t help but stutter, “I watch your races every year… I never thought you’d be one of our top customers. Which car are you interested in?”
Car god?
Hearing the manager address Sylvia this way, Carley and Olivia exchanged puzzled glances.
“The Porsche 911. My friend wants to buy it,” Sylvia pointed at Olivia. “If I remember correctly, this card gives a 50% discount.”
“Yes, yes. Please wait a moment. I’ll calculate the price for you. Do you want the 3. 0T or the 3. 8T?” The manager began explaining the differences between the 3. 0T and 3. 8T models in detail.
The manager’s explanation was thorough; after all, he was serving the car god!
This was the highlight of his career!
“I want the 2022 Targa 4S 3. 0T,” Olivia said after listening to the explanation. Trusting Sylvia’s expertise on cars, she sought her opinion, “Miss Andrews, is that okay?”
Sylvia nodded, “The differences between these models aren’t significant. For daily use, it’s perfectly fine.”
“Great.” Olivia smiled sweetly and told the manager, “Let’s proceed with the payment.”
“Of course.” The manager quickly took Sylvia’s top-level VIP card and went with Olivia to complete the paperwork.
The car wasn’t an imported model; its official price was $170, 000, but with the discount, it was $85, 000.
Olivia had over $100, 000 left in her account and now spent $85, 000, leaving her with nearly $100, 000 in savings. She felt quite satisfied and was very grateful to Sylvia.
“Carley, you drive your car. I’ll sit next to Olivia and guide her on how to drive,” Sylvia said to Carley.
Carley clicked her tongue, “Getting personal driving lessons from the car god herself? That’s quite a privilege.”
When Carley first got her license, Dariel had accompanied her because she didn’t dare drive alone.
“Let’s have a hotpot for lunch! It’s so cold; hotpot would be perfect,” Olivia said cheerfully. “I need to properly thank Miss Andrews.”
“Let’s go.” Sylvia pointed at Olivia’s new car. “Get in!”
Olivia was a bit nervous but felt reassured with Sylvia beside her. Driving on the road was different from what she learned in driving school.
Sylvia guided her through lane changes and traffic light handling step by step.
They soon arrived at the mall where the hotpot restaurant was on the fifth floor.
After parking in the underground lot, Olivia wiped the sweat from her forehead. “I was so nervous I started sweating.”
Sylvia handed her a tissue. “You’ll get used to it. Driving isn’t that hard.”
Just then, Sylvia’s phone rang.
It was Queena calling. As soon as Sylvia answered, Queena’s anxious voice came through, “Sylvia, what’s in that jar in your room?”
Sylvia was puzzled. “Why? Grandma? Did something happen?”
“A maid went in to clean and accidentally opened it. She started acting crazy! You need to come back right away!” Queena’s voice was filled with helplessness.
“Crazy?” Sylvia’s heart skipped a beat. “I understand. I’ll head back immediately.”
She apologized to Olivia and Carley, “I have something urgent to attend to. I can’t join you for lunch today.”
“You didn’t drive here; why don’t you take my car?” Carley suggested quickly. “Olivia and I will take the other car back. I’ll sit with Olivia and guide her.”
Olivia nodded eagerly, “That’s a good idea.”
Sylvia took Carley’s keys and drove off in the Porsche, speeding towards the Hipps Family residence.
The Hipps Family was in chaos by the time she arrived.
The maid who had been cleaning was in her fifties and had worked for the Hipps Family for many years. She was usually gentle and kind.
But now this gentle middle-aged woman was running around the hall laughing and crying hysterically, her hair disheveled.
“Dad, Dad, I see you!”
“Mom… Mom, I see my dad.”
“Wow, aliens! UFOs!”
She grabbed Queena’s hand suddenly. “Mom, look! A UFO!”
“The aliens have really long ears!”
Queena sighed deeply and urgently instructed the butler, “Call a doctor immediately!”
The maid suddenly let go of Queena’s hand and started spinning around in circles in the living room, singing and dancing like a madwoman. “Birds in the sky, flying high! Fish in the water, trying to escape…”
Mollie whispered to Queena, “Mom, let’s wait for Sylvia to come back before calling a doctor. Otherwise, people might think we did something strange to her…”
After all, she went crazy after cleaning Sylvia’s room… It wouldn’t sound good if word got out and could harm Sylvia’s reputation.
Queena thought for a moment and agreed. “Let’s have someone restrain her for now. We can’t let this continue.”
“My child… my child… where is my child?”
At that moment, the maid sat on the floor crying and pulling at her hair. “My child!”
Queena’s heart softened. “This maid has had a hard life; her sixteen-year-old daughter committed suicide after being bullied at school years ago… Let’s wait for Sylvia.”
“That’s really unfortunate.” Mollie looked at her sympathetically and was about to have other maids help when they heard footsteps approaching quickly-Sylvia had arrived.
Seeing the hysterical maid, Sylvia didn’t waste time talking to Queena but immediately went over to take the maid’s pulse.
The pulse was chaotic; the maid’s emotions were unstable-sometimes manic, sometimes crying.
Sylvia observed her condition closely while Queena explained anxiously beside her, “You have no idea; she’s been acting crazy-laughing one moment and crying the next, even talking about seeing aliens.”
“Yes, Sylvia, what’s wrong with her?” Mollie asked curiously.
While feeling the maid’s pulse, Sylvia looked up at Queena. “Grandma, did she touch my jar? The amethyst inside can cause dizziness if inhaled for too long; she might be having a stronger reaction due to her weak constitution.”
Queena looked at her in surprise. “That amethyst is so potent? What exactly is it? Where did you get it?”
Sylvia didn’t answer Queena directly but told the butler, “Take her to a room and keep her there. She shows signs of mild poisoning; I’ll prescribe some medicine for her to take that should help clear it up.”
“Yes, Miss.”
Sylvia finally took a sip of water and explained further, “This thing was developed by some big shot two or three years ago; I don’t know who exactly. As for what it is or its purpose, I’m still researching it… So, Grandma, we must keep this within our family.”
Queena was shocked. “Sylvia, could this be something dangerous?”
“It shouldn’t be that bad; I haven’t discovered its exact use yet.” Sylvia suddenly thought of something else. “You didn’t throw it away, did you?”
“No, no! How could I touch your things?” Queena denied quickly. “It’s so strange; it must have research value. I wouldn’t touch it.”
“Good. I’ll go upstairs now.” Sylvia stood up and reminded Mollie, “Auntie, don’t look at that amethyst out of curiosity; you’re pregnant and need to protect your baby.”
Mollie smiled softly with a glint in her eyes. “Sylvia, do you think I’m that reckless?”
Sylvia nodded and went upstairs directly.
The jar containing the amethyst was still open.
As she approached to close it, she felt dizzy.
Damn!
The amethyst had been emitting energy for so long that it filled the room.
She held her breath and opened the windows to ventilate the room and disperse the amethyst’s energy.
She collapsed onto her bed but forced herself up again to leave the room. Standing by the door for a while to recover, she finally re-entered with a pale face.
