Chapter 1140

Book:Surprised With Her Real Identities Published:2024-11-18

Mrs. Hogan left Olivia’s room and went to Bryce’s room, looking at her son, feeling sorry. “What’s wrong with you? Olivia is your sister. Can’t you just give in to her a little? Why did you have to make such a scene?”
Bryce was irritated. “Mom, please leave. I need some time alone.”
Mrs. Hogan sighed heavily. “The doctor said your wound shouldn’t get wet. Be careful.”
Her son had driven her out, and he was injured. She had no choice but to comply.
The next morning, Olivia couldn’t sleep. She got up around six in the morning but couldn’t fall back asleep.
She frowned as she looked at the misty sky outside the window.
As the day gradually brightened, the fog thickened. Thick white mist enveloped the entire road.
After breakfast, Olivia grabbed her bag and was about to leave when Mrs. Hogan caught up to her. “Apologize to your brother. Make him feel better. He treats you so well every day, and you’re still not satisfied.”
Olivia glanced at Mrs. Hogan with a blank expression. “He’s the one who hurt himself, not me. Why should I apologize?”
“You… you… you’re driving me crazy!” Mrs. Hogan shouted angrily behind her. “How did you become like this?”
Olivia ignored her and left without looking back.
Once outside, she turned left and walked towards the intersection.
The thick fog limited her visibility, so she walked slowly along the roadside.
In the distance, car lights flickered through the fog. Olivia walked towards the lights and saw Carley’s red Porsche.
“Get in.”
Carley looked at Olivia, who was wearing a beige cashmere coat. “It’s so cold outside. Why aren’t you wearing a down jacket?”
Olivia opened the passenger door and got in. “I was walking, so I wasn’t cold.”
Carley started the car and drove towards the address Sylvia had given them. “The location of the apartment is nice, and the environment is good too. I heard it’s a ready-to-move-in place, though the price is a bit high. Olivia, if you don’t have enough money, I can lend you some.”
“Let’s check out the apartment first.” Olivia glanced at the foggy scene outside the window and thought about her strange brothers at home, feeling a headache coming on.
About half an hour later, Carley’s car stopped in the parking lot of the sales office.
As soon as they entered, a real estate agent enthusiastically approached them. “Are you here to look at apartments? Do you have an appointment?”
Carley shook her head. “No, we were just passing by and decided to take a look.”
The agent nodded. “Alright, what are your needs? Are you looking for a large or small apartment?”
“I heard you have small two-bedroom units. Can we see one?” Olivia was interested in a two-bedroom apartment, one room for a wardrobe and one for herself.
Hearing that they wanted to see a small unit, the agent felt a bit uncomfortable.
They were dressed so well but only wanted a small unit, which didn’t bring much commission.
It was almost the end of the month, and she was far from meeting her sales target!
“The small units are sold out. How about looking at a three-bedroom unit? It’s just one more room and only tens of thousands more in price. You could consider a mortgage.”
The agent still smiled as she took out a brochure. “This is a small three-bedroom unit, 100 square meters. The living room isn’t big, but the three rooms are well-planned.”
“But I want a two-bedroom unit. Yesterday I heard you still had some available,” Olivia frowned at the agent’s heavily made-up face. She believed Sylvia wouldn’t lie to her.
The agent looked surprised. “Really? Maybe you got the wrong information.”
Carley was also puzzled. “Are they really sold out?”
The agent wanted to push the small three-bedroom unit on them because it was their main product with high commission.
She apologized, “I’m sorry. How about I apply for a discount on this small three-bedroom unit? Are you planning to get a mortgage?”
“I want to pay in full. I can’t afford this small three-bedroom unit.” Olivia was frustrated. “Let’s look at other places.”
Carley stopped her. “Wait a minute. Let me call Sylvia.”
She stepped outside to call Sylvia.
A few minutes later, the sales manager hurried over with a tall, elegant woman behind him. The woman’s stunning appearance caught everyone’s attention.
The manager approached Carley and Olivia respectfully. “I’m sorry, ladies. Do you want a small two-bedroom unit? We have them available. Which floor do you prefer? Do you need a parking space too?”
“Manager… didn’t we sell out of small two-bedroom units?” The agent signaled frantically to the manager.
The manager glared at her angrily. “Do you know who they are? They’re friends of Miss Sylvia! Apologize immediately!”
The agent was stunned. “What?”
The manager snapped at her, “Apologies to these ladies right now!”
The agent was on the verge of tears, realizing she had lost this sale and offended important people.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t recognize who you were.”
Carley ignored the agent and was surprised to see the beautiful woman. “Sylvia!”
She had called Sylvia earlier, but Sylvia hadn’t mentioned she was there.
“I happened to be here.” Sylvia glanced at Olivia, who looked much better than before, with more confidence in her eyes.
Compared to her previous depressed state, she was much more attractive now.
Sylvia turned to the manager and then glanced at the agent. “Show Miss Hogan all available two-bedroom units until she’s satisfied.”
The agent almost cried but couldn’t refuse with Sylvia present.
She quickly fetched all the brochures for small units and handed them to Olivia.
“Here are all the small units available. Please choose one.”
The manager’s smile was almost frozen on his face. “Building 16 has the best floors and location, with an artificial lake and bridge nearby and close to the garage exit. Units on the 8th, 6th, and 12th floors are still available. Which one do you like?”
The agent quickly introduced the layout of each unit.
Their attitude had taken a complete 180-degree turn.
“The 8th floor sounds good; I don’t like high floors. How much is it?” Olivia had no experience buying property.
Sylvia glanced at the manager. “Give her a 30% discount.”
The manager nodded eagerly. “Of course.”
You’re the boss; your word is the law here! Even if you give it away for free, I’d have to agree!
“The apartment is 88 square meters, priced at $220, 000. With a 30% discount, it’s $154, 000.” The manager calculated on his device but then heard Sylvia say, “Make it $150, 000 and include a parking space.”
The manager was stunned!
“That’s… that’s too generous.”
A parking space alone costs $30, 000!
“Just a parking space,” Sylvia smiled slightly. “It’s nothing.”
“Of course.” The manager quickly instructed the agent to prepare the contract.
Within minutes, Olivia swiped her card and completed all procedures smoothly.
“The property certificate will take some time,” Sylvia said kindly, feeling an inexplicable fondness for Olivia’s beautiful eyes. “No need to rush.”
Olivia felt embarrassed looking at her. “Miss Andrews… can I ask you to accompany me to buy a car?”
Sylvia was so beautiful that even as another woman, Olivia felt shy looking directly at her.
She felt awkward but grateful for Sylvia’s help in getting a discount today. “Can I treat you and Carley to lunch?”
Sylvia appraised her briefly. “Sure!”
Wow, she’s learned to take initiative? Inviting others now?
Significant progress!
Olivia’s face lit up with joy and excitement. “Great!”
She grabbed Carley’s arm excitedly. “Carley, Miss Andrews agreed!”
Carley chuckled helplessly. “Alright then, let’s go buy a car.”
The three of them got into Carley’s Porsche.
Olivia originally had over $300, 000 saved up but spent half on the apartment, leaving her with half remaining.
After hearing Olivia’s budget, Sylvia suggested thoughtfully, “You might consider getting a Porsche 911 like Carley’s; it’s suitable for women to drive and fits your budget.”
“Okay.” Olivia agreed readily with Sylvia’s suggestion, feeling an inexplicable sense of security and respect around her.
She aspired to be like Sylvia but felt it might be impossible.
Soon they arrived at the dealership.
Due to the heavy fog today, there weren’t many customers inside. Seeing them enter, a sales consultant quickly stood up. “Is there any specific model you’re interested in?”
Sylvia asked calmly, “How much is the current price for a Porsche 911?”
After hearing the price quote from the consultant, Sylvia gave him a look. “Isn’t that price slightly inflated?”
The consultant quickly assured her, “Of course not! We have fair prices here.”
Sylvia chuckled lightly. “What if I have this VIP card?”
Seeing the card Sylvia produced, the consultant was stunned; in his five years of sales experience, it was his first time seeing such an exclusive VIP card holder.
It was an elite VIP card said to be held by only a few people worldwide!
