An ancient aura swept from the wall, revealing two different scenes.
The left half of the wall was covered in text, clearly a martial arts manual, divided into two parts.
The right half was smooth like a mirror, faintly showing an old man in a white robe demonstrating some martial arts moves at a moderate pace.
“Ma’ma, is this the ‘Demonic Tribulation’ technique?” Vermilion Bird asked Jennifer.
“Yes!” Jennifer nodded and looked at Billy. “You should first study the upper part of the technique. Later, I will demonstrate it for you. The upper part is relatively easy; with your talent, it shouldn’t be difficult.”
“Thank you, ma’ma!” Billy and the others responded in unison.
“Make good use of your time!” Jennifer urged again.
Billy and the others then focused on studying the upper part of the technique.
As Jennifer had mentioned in Skyreach City, the technique was incomplete. Just reading the text made it hard to grasp the full picture.
Even though Billy and his group memorized every word, they were still confused and couldn’t make sense of it.
Fortunately, Jamal Clarke was there to explain things occasionally. After half a day, Billy and his group had a comprehensive understanding of the upper part.
Jennifer then began to demonstrate the moves, with Jamal Clarke explaining each one.
After several hours and countless demonstrations, Jennifer finally stopped.
The rest of the time was for Billy and his group to integrate what they had learned.
They knew that without Jennifer and Jamal Clarke’s help, they wouldn’t have understood the moves even with ten days or half a month of effort.
“Mr. Billy, continue to comprehend here. Shadow One and I need to handle something. We’ll come back later,” Jennifer said to Billy.
“If you feel confident with the upper part, you can try to comprehend the lower part. First, read the technique, then watch the ancestor’s demonstration.”
“The lower part is much more profound. I haven’t fully comprehended it myself, so I can’t help you.”
“Understood!” Billy nodded.
Jennifer and Jamal Clarke then left.
“Boss, have you mastered the upper part?” Soul Chaser asked Billy after Jennifer and Jamal left.
“It’s not that easy!” Billy shook his head. “Everyone, keep working hard!”
“Got it!” they responded together.
For the next ten days, everyone immersed themselves in practice, understanding the essence while training.
After about twenty days, Billy had fully comprehended the upper part and reached the Great Perfection Realm through countless practices.
Opal, Harleen, Amber, Ivy, Casey, and Stout reached the Minor Ascension Realm one after another.
Others weren’t far behind; with Billy’s guidance, they also reached the Minor Ascension Realm within two or three days.
After a day’s rest, they began studying the lower part.
Despite being mentally prepared for its difficulty, they were still overwhelmed when they started.
It wasn’t much better than reading the Heaven Book earlier. The only advantage was watching the old man’s demonstration.
Even so, after a whole day, they were still confused and had no clue.
“Billy Boy, let’s not waste time on the lower part. Let’s continue practicing the upper part!” Amber suggested to Billy. “When you comprehend the lower part, you can explain it to me!”
“Alright!” Billy nodded.
The others also gave up on the lower part and continued practicing the upper part.
Billy spent all his time standing in front of the wall, watching the old man’s demonstration repeatedly.
However, after two or three days, he still had no clue. Often, just as he thought he understood something, he lost it again. It was hard to connect the upper and lower moves.
“Billy, I think you need to immerse yourself in the technique!” White Feather’s voice sounded in Billy’s mind one day.
“Immerse myself in the technique?” Billy was puzzled. “What do you mean?”
“Your soul can leave your body now that you’re in Returning Source Realm. Try merging your soul into that wall,” White Feather suggested.
“Will that work?” Billy was surprised again.
“I’m not sure, but it’s worth a try!” White Feather replied.
“Alright!” Billy responded.
Billy informed Harleen and others before sitting cross-legged. A shadow emerged from his body-it was his soul form.
“Hmm?” As soon as his soul merged into the wall, he exclaimed in surprise.
He found himself in an independent space with ample light and a vast lawn before him.
Several hundred meters ahead stood a towering tree with a diameter of about twenty or thirty meters, its branches lush and full.
Underneath the tree sat an old man in white robes with closed eyes and an aura fluctuating around him-the same man who had been demonstrating moves on the wall.
Billy wanted to ask White Feather and Purple Spirit about this situation but realized they were in his physical body and couldn’t hear him now.
“Hello, sir?” Billy greeted the old man tentatively.
“You are not from the Demonic Clan, are you?” The old man opened his eyes.
“No, sir. I am not from the Demonic Clan, but I mean no harm…” Billy replied.
“If you had ill intentions, you wouldn’t have made it here!” The old man interrupted. “This space isn’t accessible to just anyone!”
“Why?” Billy was curious.
“Why ask so many questions? Curiosity killed the cat,” the old man retorted.
Billy’s mouth twitched before he continued. “Can members of the Demonic Clan enter here?”
“You have an exceptional physique and bloodline,” the old man remarked after examining Billy briefly. “It’s fate that brought you here.”
Without waiting for Billy’s response, he asked again, “What’s the current situation of the Demonic Clan?”
“Not very good,” Billy replied honestly.
“What do you mean?” The old man’s brows furrowed slightly.
“A catastrophe struck the Demonic Clan ten thousand years ago,” Billy explained everything about the Demonic Clan’s situation to him.
Before Billy finished speaking, a terrifying killing intent erupted from the old man, making Billy shiver involuntarily.
After a moment, the old man calmed down and muttered to himself.
“I thought leaving this technique would elevate the Demonic Clan to new heights.”
“But it backfired. I’m a sinner of the Demonic Clan!”
