“Sir, don’t blame yourself too much. This isn’t your fault; it’s the Heaven Alliance…” Billy said.
“Heaven Alliance!” The old man’s voice was icy cold.
After a brief pause, he looked at Billy. “I will teach you the second part of ‘Demonic Tribulation.’ Can you promise me one thing?”
“You want me to avenge the Demonic Clan?” Billy asked.
“Rest assured, even if you don’t teach me the technique, I would still do it if I have the ability. Elder Jennifer has been kind to me, and I won’t stand by idly.”
“Good!” The old man responded. “I hope I haven’t misjudged you!”
He then stood up. “You should have already mastered the first part of ‘Demonic Tribulation.’ Now I will teach you the second part!”
“Sir, can one fully comprehend the second part just by studying what you left on the wall outside?” Billy asked.
“If one’s talent is extraordinary, they might grasp sixty to seventy percent, but to fully master it is impossible!” The old man replied. “I deliberately left out some core parts!”
“Why?” Billy was puzzled. “If it was meant for the Demonic Clan, why hide parts of it…”
“It’s simple!” The old man interrupted. “Without my guidance, forcing the practice would lead to a backlash from the technique, causing madness at best and complete destruction at worst!”
“Then why didn’t you directly pass the second part to the descendants of the Demonic Clan instead of setting up that wall for them to comprehend on their own?” Billy asked.
“For the same reason!” The old man replied. “‘Demonic Tribulation’ is too profound, requiring extremely high talent and temperament from the practitioner; otherwise, it would inevitably lead to a backlash!”
“So, in all these years, no one in the Demonic Clan has met the requirements to fully practice the second part?” Billy pressed.
“No one!” The old man shook his head. “A thousand years ago, there was one descendant with excellent talent and temperament!”
“However, he could only barely practice the parts left on the wall. Going further was too much for him, so he never had the chance to enter this space.”
“I understand!” Billy nodded.
The descendant mentioned was clearly Jennifer’s father.
“Sir, since you’ve been in this space all along, why didn’t you know about the events that happened to the Demonic Clan a thousand years ago?” Billy paused before continuing. “If you had known, could you have helped them through that disaster?”
“This space is isolated by formations and cut off from the outside world. I couldn’t know anything happening outside.”
“I left this soul imprint here solely to find someone who could inherit ‘Demonic Tribulation.'”
“And even if I had known about the Demonic Clan’s troubles back then, my soul imprint wouldn’t have been strong enough to change anything.”
“This is your soul imprint?” Billy was surprised. “I always thought it was your true body!”
He hadn’t realized this!
“My true body perished long ago!” The old man replied.
“Alright!” Billy responded.
“Let’s begin!” The old man continued.
The old man then started teaching Billy.
After a few hours, once Billy grasped the essence of the second part, the old man began demonstrating while explaining.
With the old man’s help, Billy finally gained a systematic understanding of the second part. In the following period, Billy began practicing, with the old man guiding him.
“In just a few days, you’ve reached Minor Ascension Realm with the second part. It’s truly surprising!” Watching Billy’s movements, the old man couldn’t help but mutter.
“The Demonic Clan is fortunate to have such a talented ally!”
After more than ten days, Billy stopped practicing. He had comprehended most of the second part and only needed time to practice further.
“Not bad! Much stronger than I anticipated!” The old man said to Billy.
“Sir, you’re too kind!” Billy smiled in response.
“Just telling the truth!” The old man continued. “My task here is complete. While I still have some energy left, let me help you one last time!”
“Sir, your soul imprint should remain in this world for some time. You don’t need to help me…” Billy said.
He knew that the old man intended to help him advance his cultivation level.
“This soul imprint was to wait for someone destined and pass on ‘Demonic Tribulation.’ Now that my task is complete, there’s no point in staying!” The old man interrupted.
“As long as you keep your promise to avenge the Demonic Clan and help rebuild it, I will be content!”
“Sir, rest assured. I will not disappoint you!” Billy bowed deeply.
“Good!” The old man pointed to a large tree behind him. “Once my soul imprint dissipates, this space will collapse soon after. The tree hole behind that tree is the exit!”
“I understand!” Billy nodded again.
The old man said no more. His soul imprint turned into a beam of white light and entered Billy’s body.
However, since Billy himself was currently a soul, his cultivation level didn’t change immediately.
Billy then went behind the tree and found a sizable tree hole. He walked into it.
In no time, he found himself back in the forbidden area.
To his surprise, when his soul returned to his body, he noticed that the wall had disappeared, leaving an empty space.
“Hmm?” Seeing the wall vanish suddenly, Casey and others stopped what they were doing, all showing puzzled expressions.
“What’s going on?” Bob couldn’t help but ask.
“Did Boss make it disappear?” Stout speculated after smacking his lips.
Hearing this, everyone turned to look at Billy.
At that moment, a powerful aura burst from Billy’s body, revealing his fifth-rank Returning Source Realm cultivation level.
Clearly, the old man’s soul imprint had helped him advance two levels!
“Boss is back?” Casey quickly walked over after a brief pause.
“Billy Boy, did you break through two levels?” Amber exclaimed in surprise.
“Yes!” Billy smiled as he stood up.
“Boss, what happened exactly?” Judge asked while pointing ahead. “And why did that wall disappear? Does it have something to do with you?”
Thud…
At that moment, two footsteps sounded. Everyone turned to see Jennifer and Jamal Clarke approaching.
“Hmm?” When they arrived and saw the empty space, they were equally puzzled.
Billy led everyone in greeting them.
“Mr. Billy, what happened? Why is the wall gone?” Jamal Clarke asked with a puzzled look at Billy.
“My apologies!” Billy bowed slightly and explained everything that had happened.
“Is that so?” After hearing his explanation, everyone was stunned again.
“I see!” Jennifer and Jamal Clarke looked enlightened.
“Ma’ma, did anyone from your Demonic Clan ever try merging their soul with that wall?” White Tiger asked Jennifer.
“Many tried but without any success!” Jennifer replied.
“It seems their talent and temperament couldn’t meet the requirements for practicing the second part, so they couldn’t enter the space created by our ancestor.”
“I understand!” White Tiger nodded.
“Ma’ma, I’m sorry because of me that wall…” Billy began apologizing to Jennifer.
“If it weren’t for you, it wouldn’t be long before the Demonic Clan truly disappeared from this star domain!” Jennifer interrupted him.
“We should be thanking you for passing on ‘Demonic Tribulation’!”
“You overpraise me!” Billy bowed again. “I promised that ancestor I would help you rebuild the Demonic Clan if I have the ability!”
“We can discuss this later; let’s leave here first!” Jennifer said.
“A lot has happened in these two months outside; we can talk as we go!”
