The sea of flowers was vast and endless. Different types of flowers were planted in separate areas, creating a breathtaking view. Not only were there Gesang flowers, but on the other side, there were sunflowers. When Agnes saw the field of sunflowers, she felt a moment of daze and a surge of joy in her heart.
It was so much like the scene in her dreams…
In that repeated dream, she painted in a sea of sunflowers, with her Mr. Cat standing behind her, holding her hand with the paintbrush, patiently teaching her how to draw. Every time she saw sunflowers, she couldn’t help but think of him.
“Do you like sunflowers?” Tom Fritz’s low, gentle voice reached the girl’s ears.
The girl turned at the sound and softly replied, “Sunflowers have a beautiful meaning. It means ‘no one else in sight, only you.’ It represents the purest love.”
Tom Fritz asked warmly, “Since you like them, would you like me to take some photos for you here?”
She thought for a moment and said, “Sure.”
Because she liked Mr. Cat, Agnes had a special affection for sunflowers. Just like her love for him, seven years ago he entered her life and became an irreplaceable idol.
Agnes once painted a picture of a little cat lying on a sunflower stalk when she missed him terribly. Every stroke was filled with her endless longing. Those days, her heart ached intensely, and she was overwhelmed with sadness as if she could never escape it…
So every time she saw sunflowers, she would think of her Mr. Cat.
“Take a photo of my back,” Agnes said as she turned to him because she didn’t want to show the sadness on her face or let him see her thoughts.
The girl walked towards the vast sea of sunflowers, her affection and longing for Mr. Cat growing stronger. Tom Fritz patiently found the right angles. Even when taking photos of her back, he did it meticulously, capturing beautiful and meaningful shots.
He also took some side-profile photos of her that were truly stunning.
Bathed in sunlight and standing in the sea of sunflowers, Agnes closed her eyes and slightly tilted her head back. She made a wish-
Mr. Cat, may you be safe and happy.
After taking the photos, they got back on the sightseeing car. Tom Fritz drove while Agnes looked through his phone’s photo album.
Of course, this was with his permission; he had handed his phone to her voluntarily.
“Oh my gosh, your photography skills are professional!” The girl was very satisfied with the photos and turned to look at him in surprise. “Did you study photography?”
“It has more to do with one’s aesthetic sense than whether they’ve studied it or not,” Tom said happily at the compliment. “As long as you’re satisfied.”
“Can I send them now?”
“Sure, go ahead.”
His phone held no secrets; although phones are quite personal items, he had never let anyone browse through his freely before.
With his permission, Agnes opened WhatsApp on his phone and sent the original photos to her own phone.
“There’s an animal park up ahead known for its deer-giraffes and spotted deer,” Tom said as he drove the simple sightseeing car. “You can feed them up close. Do you like animals?”
“They’re okay. What about you?”
Tom Fritz felt somewhat old at heart due to his age. But when he was with the young and lively Agnes, he felt younger too; his face lit up with vibrant smiles. “I cherish such opportunities because I wouldn’t normally come to places like this.”
