Chapter 2365: Closing the Distance

After a while, Tom Fritz came over with two tickets. “Let’s go.” Within seconds, he had read all the text on the back of the tickets. He put his arm around her shoulder again and led her towards the entrance. His gentlemanly manner did not make her uncomfortable at all.
Gradually, Agnes got used to his shoulder-hugging gesture. Since she had agreed to help, there was no reason to feel awkward about it. As they entered, the view suddenly opened up. There was an endless sea of Gesang flowers, and with the nice weather today, it was perfect for taking pictures. Many young people were taking photos in the flower fields.
Immersed in such scenery, feeling the serene and intense seasonal atmosphere up close, truly lifted one’s spirits. “Do you want to take a ride on the sightseeing car?” Tom Fritz was concerned that her high heels might be inconvenient.
“Sure.” She was willing to follow his lead.
So, Tom led her to a simple two-seater car, designed specifically for couples in the scenic area. He helped her onto it like a gentleman. “Be careful.” Then he sat down next to her.
“Can you drive?” she asked curiously.
“I haven’t driven one before, but I should be able to,” he said confidently and started studying it seriously. “The back of the ticket has operating instructions. These cars in scenic areas are usually very simple; as long as you have a bit of a sense of direction, you won’t crash.”
Being by his side made Agnes feel quite secure.
In no time, Tom pressed the forward button, and the car started moving. He controlled the speed and kept a steady grip on the steering wheel.
Agnes felt excited like a little girl; girls naturally love flowers and plants. Gentle breezes blew by, filling the air with floral fragrance. Sitting close to him, she seemed to catch a faint but pleasant scent emanating from him, making her take deep breaths almost greedily.
The special varieties of Gesang flowers and pink grass spread across the fields made it feel like stepping into a giant oil painting-a truly breathtaking experience.
Tom Fritz had a keen eye for beauty too. “Let’s find a spot with fewer tourists so I can take some pictures of you,” he suggested.
As he spoke, he turned to look at her, meeting her gaze just inches away. Her eyes were beautiful and filled with warmth.
“Alright,” she smiled back at him.
This made Tom Fritz feel that this trip was very meaningful; their distance had closed once again. He found a good spot for photos-beautiful scenery with few people-and parked the car.
“You go into that flower patch and pose naturally; I’ll take candid shots.”
After getting out of the car himself, he extended his hand to her like a true gentleman-attentive in every detail.
Agnes enjoyed this princess-like treatment; after all, as a storyteller herself-whether in comics or novels-romance ran in her veins.
His attentiveness added extra points to his overall charm. Tom Fritz didn’t do anything inappropriate either.
So Agnes placed her hand in his palm. After helping her out of the car, Tom Fritz released her hand and pointed towards the best-looking flower field. “Stand over there; just relax.”
“Okay, photographer.”
Taking photos is second nature to girls, and Agnes loved it too. Lifting her skirt slightly, she walked into the flower field. Sometimes she bent down to smell the flowers; other times she looked up at the blue sky or danced joyfully like a butterfly.
Though they didn’t have professional photography equipment today, Tom Fritz’s phone camera had high resolution. Combined with his good photography skills, every picture turned out beautifully.
Tom Fritz was also great at composition; he zoomed in for close-ups, capturing only half of her body-the artistic effect was excellent.
It’s often said that taking good photos depends not just on scenery but also on the mood of both photographer and model.
At this moment, both their moods were exceptionally good.
