Chapter 84

Book:Alpha Arthur, She is mine Published:2024-11-6

Malicia;
It has been days since Alpha Arthur took Nova away from the house. Nothing had been heard about them. No calls from Nova and I’m unable to reach Alpha Arthur either.
Beta Bronson and Alpha Blade have also returned to their pack. And it hurts because I miss Beta Bronson so much. Before he returned, he had requested that I follow him back to his pack. I couldn’t even, if I wanted to. What will happen to my brothers under the roof of Alpha Arthur?
Not even when we constantly have to deal with the evil bitch, Chloe. She has been a hell lot since Alpha Arthur left. Chloe has taken over most of the responsibilities and she has pushed most Pack members into poverty.
I heard she ordered for the head of one of the Council of Elders. His only offense was speaking the truth; Even if Alpha Arthur left the throne without informing anyone, his Luna didn’t have the right to sit on it. She is a woman and it’s taboo for her to sit on the throne when the Alpha is still alive.
She had him killed for that, and the rest of the Elders became mute in fear. They are old men and can’t do anything. They don’t have the strength to fight.
The young men who had the strength to fight are already wrapped under Chloe’s fingers because of Beta Loki. They respect and follow his orders. I don’t know why Beta Loki is quiet about Chloe’s actions. Seems she has her foes belting his eyes. I bet Beta Loki is not reporting the fundamental truth of what’s happening in the pack to Alpha Arthur.
All thanks to the woman who has him under her fingers. She is indeed evil.
Kalus has also left the mansion. He came back one day looking all sad and without saying a word, he moved out of the mansion. Have no idea where he is right now.
My siblings and I are trying our best on how to behave around Chloe. We’ve been walking on eggshells, and if our house hasn’t been burnt down by her orders, we’ll have returned.
She said our home reminded her of Elara’s despicable act, and for that reason, she gave orders for it to be brought down. My siblings and I are too poor to afford another home. And Chloe has barred me from working or doing anything that would fetch me money.
Sadness and overwhelming have been the order of the day for my siblings and me.
If they were ladies, I would have made sure they followed Beta Bronson back to his pack. But they are male. It’s like a curse if a male werewolf leaves his pack to settle in another pack. He will lose his name and identity. It’s just a second way of going Rogue. The only difference is that the former has a Pack, while the latter doesn’t.
“Malicia, right!?” A lady rudely calls my name as I try to arrange the meal on the table. We were informed that a special guest was coming. So we the maids; that is my new identity. Chloe turned me into a maid. We, the maids, were instructed to prepare many dishes and serve them on the table before the guest arrived.
I bow my head in respect the moment my gaze meets with the lady who called out to me. With how porcelain and elegant she looks, I can tell she is royalty. She is also an Alpha wolf, and this makes my assumption certain.
“So you are the thing?” She says, walking toward me.
My brows knit in confusion as I gaze at her. Did she just call me a ‘thing? No. I didn’t hear that right.
“I heard you are Elara’s best friend. The disgusting Delta wolf who supports her friend in stealing someone’s fated mate,” she sneers.
“I’m not a thing, or disgusting. Don’t call me names. What fated…” Before the question can sprint out of my mouth, her palm lands on my right cheek with a thud. My face pushes to the side with force.
I hold my hit cheek, tears make my sight blurry. My teeth grind in agony. Why the fuck did this bitch hit me, and who the hell is she?
“I speak, and you listen. Kneel,” she gives the command.
My face pivots in her direction, my hand still holding my right cheek. “Why?” I swallow softly. My voice was almost like a whisper.
She whiffs. Her body jerks as she breaks into a loud laughter. “You are indeed stupid,” she utters before clapping her hands as a signal.
Some warriors rush in, and two immediately capture me. I feel a hard knock on the back of my leg, my knees fall to the ground before her. A hard push on the back of my head, forces my head to bow, my face almost brushing the floor.
I hear the screeching sound of the chair, and I know she has just taken a seat in front of me. “My name is Princess Veronica, Alpha Arthur’s fated mate. I know your miserable friend and you, don’t know who I am. But it’s not important. I hate low-lives knowing things about me. Luna Chloe told me everything,” she informs, and I giggle to myself.
Luna Chloe my feet.
How is it possible that Alpha Arthur has a fated mate who is a princess and chooses to chase Elara around? This is trouble for Elara and me.
Veronica continues, “Your stupid friend, Elara, seduced Alpha Arthur into sleeping with her and she had the guts to run away with him. How dare she be with my fated mate?”
“But she’s not the one who is Alpha Arthur’s Luna. Your anger should be directed at Lu…” I pause a bit. I hate addressing that bitch as such. “Luna Chloe,” my head raises a bit as I gaze at the princesses’ faces.
Her words might be harsh and stab like a dagger but her eyes and face say something different. She doesn’t look evil, even when she tries to act like someone who is evil.
“What do you mean by ‘my anger should be directed at Luna Chloe?” She softly asked.
Just when my lips separate to speak, I hear the voice of Chloe. “Princess Veronica, when did you arrive?” Chloe and some warrior ambled toward us. Chloe’s evil eyes scan me from my forehead to my toes, “I can see she has shown you her true self just in this short period of time.” Chloe speaks to Princess Veronica.
“No, Luna. She did…”
“Don’t worry about it, Princess. I have everything figured out,” Chloe cuts in. She snaps her fingers, pointing at me, “Take this thing to the dungeon and look her up,” she orders.
The men holding my arms, let go, and two other warriors who were with Chloe, grab me. They tug me away from the presence of Chloe and the Princess, and they lead me into a lonely underground pathway.
A dark cell is being opened, and the men push me in, sending me falling to the cold, dirty ground. I didn’t bother to plead because I knew it was a waste of energy. Evil Chloe likes to torture people, and the more you beg, the higher your punishment.
I sit on the floor, dragging my knees up, and hugging it tight in my chest. So, this is my reality; a prisoner.
My brothers. I hope they will be fine and not try to fight with any of the guards for my sake. I can’t stand anything happening to them.
Just then, I hear the sound of keys, trying to open the door of the cell. And I rise to my feet. The door opens and Princess Veronica walks in. She was alone.
I almost asked her what it was she wanted, but I dared not.
She steps closer to me, “I’m sorry for spanking your cheek. I was a little frustrated,” she softly speaks.
I’m not surprised by her words. As I earlier stated, she didn’t look evil to me.
“Luna Chloe told me a lot about you and Elara, but I’m a very observant being. With how scared everyone is in the mansion, I think she is the actual problem. I’ve been to this mansion when Alpha Arthur was around, and the energy is different from what I feel right now,” she confirms.
My lips press in a thin line. My head nods to her words. Thank Goddess she is indeed different. This is a great relief.
“When I return to my pack, I will inform my brother, Alpha Drakon, of what…”
The door opens again and Chloe walks in with three hefty warriors.
“You don’t need to speak to the low-life about what you will do to me when you return, because you are never going to return,” Chloe sneers.
“And what does that even mean,” Princess Veronica questioned. The same question I had in my head, only if I was opportune to speak.
Two men who came in with Chloe rushed forward, nabbing Princess Veronica’s arms. My eyes widen in shock at how roughly they are holding her.
“What do you think you are doing, Chloe?” Princess Veronica roars, and Chloe maliciously giggles.
“What does it look like? I’m doing what I plan on doing to you from the start. I have my reason for inviting you over to the NightShade Pack. You are one sweet tool I can use in hurting Elara, and causing Alpha Arthur to hurry back to this pack. Thanks for falling into my precious trap,” Chloe cocks her head at the men holding P. Veronica.
They push her to her knees, the third man walks toward her with a silver chain in his hands. Immediately, he wraps it around P. Veronica’s neck, strangling her as she chokes. Struggling for her life.
“No. Please, stop. You will kill her. Please, Luna Chloe, I beg of you,” my knees fall to the ground, and I crawl toward Chloe, pleading.
I hear a loud roar from the side and my body jerks into great fear. The roar came from one of the men. He raises his claws and stabs P. Veronica right into her heart, blood sprints out of her mouth.
He crushes her inside until she takes her last breath, then he pulls his hand away from her chest. Her chest, with her heart crushed, lay open before my eyes. My hand flies to my mouth as I fall to my side in fear. The whole of me, trembling.
“Send words to Alpha Drakon. Inform him that an aggressive Delta wolf has killed his sister in the dungeon of Alpha Arthur. This disgusting thing, Malicia, should face the consequences of killing Princess Veronica,” Chloe orders and walks away.
