42- Denial

Book:Mavana; The Silver Omega Published:2024-11-6

On a normal note, Gamma Loan should have been panicking with the number of messages his phone was buzzing with, but the only reason he was walking so confidently was because he had a great position in the pack.
He stopped walking as soon as he reached the entrance and was standing face to face with the enormous door. His hands were tightly gripping the phone, and his every step was synchronized with his heartbeat.
He knocked on the door a little and inhaled deeply without thinking.
He could swear that his breath caught for a moment before the door creaked open and the relation elder’s face lit up with a tight smile.
He squeezed his face as soon as he stepped into the relative elder’s home, wishing he could have smacked that smile off his face.
“Hello, dear partner.” The Relation Elder laughed mockingly, and Gamma Loan gave him a stern look that was tinged with annoyance.
“What did you intend for that message you sent? You are well aware that false accusations are equivalent to treason,” Gamma Loan stated as he walked fully into his room, his gaze consuming the view.
“Even with the glaring evidence hanging around, you still choose to deny and play innocent.” The Relation Elder smirked; deep down, he was pleased that he had come in to play the game of innocence; his comeback evidence and statement would break him and force him to submit in the end.
“Only a guilty person will deny; why will I strain my legs just to come here and then deny? I know nothing about what you sent, and I am here to clarify that.” Gamma Loan stated, making it clear that he was not intimidated by the earlier message, which was a ruse. He was trembling internally.
A mischievous grin curled up on the relation elder’s lips, “The wolfsbane you used to kill the late Alpha was a powerful one; he could not even survive more than three hours.” He laughed.
“I guess you feed him with the ones that are cup-shaped; it is so obvious.” He continued, his gaze fixed on Gamma Loan, looking for any sign of fear in his eyes.
Gamma Loan’s breath sucked up into his trachea, and his pupil dilated in shock.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” He hollered, attempting to keep his voice neutral.
“You deliberately forged irrelevant evidence and sent it to my phone; who knows if you are the killer?” He added, with a forceful and fake smile on his lips. His voice was trembling, and panic and anxiety had set in. He folded his fists with sweaty palms.
He could not keep his gaze on the relation elder, who had a sly smile on his lips.
He tried to calm his nerves to avoid showing weakness and vulnerability, but all of his efforts were futile, and his ego was shattered by the following statement.
“I wonder how long you would admire her, and I am pretty sure you killed the late Alpha as a result, combined with your admiration for the Alpha position.
Gamma Loan’s inner stomach twitched with exposure; his emotions were no longer hidden, and he felt suffocated as if the room was closing in on him. His head spun from embarrassment and regret.
“What..” He struggled to muffle some words, but they stuck in his throat.
“What the fuck are you trying to say? Why will I kill the late Alpha for a lady I could not even get if I wanted to?” He yelled without thinking twice; the rage boiling inside him was far more powerful than giving him time to pause before speaking.
“I am curious why you look so disturbed, and why you made that little statement that came from a place of anger. You have unintentionally admitted to your crimes.” The Relation Elder hinted that blood drained from his face, which turned pale instantly.
He could not wrap his head around any situation or more lies, and he was gradually giving in to the emotions.
“Your wife and sons will appreciate your never-ending obsession with the late Alpha’s wife.” The Relation Elder continued, his gaze fixed on the Gamma, his hand never leaving his jaw.
“You devious bastard!” Gamma Loan yelled, anger and regret creeping up on his skin.
“I suppose you do not want me to reveal everything to Alpha Damian, who will order your head to be severed immediately.” The Relation Elder proposed, walking close to him and placing his hands on his shoulders.
“Since we all wanted the same thing, even if you changed your mind. Let us work together to accomplish our goals.”
****************
Daisy was lying on the ground, breathing weakly; it had been longer than the three days mentioned by her brother, and she knew it was most likely Luna Lorienta’s work.
She rolled over with her stomach on the ground, grumbling violently to show how hungry she was.
“I am going to survive this too,” Daisy exclaimed, rolling on the floor inconveniently.
Her face lit up with hope as the light shone into the room from the entrance. The door opened fully, and someone stepped inside. She raised her head to catch a glimpse of who it was, but a mask obscured the view.
“Do you want me to help you?” The voice rose, sounding feminine and familiar to her. She let her guard down and paid close attention.
“I want you to help me,” she said, not bothering to ask what kind of help it was.
“The information I am about to give you is extremely important, and it will destroy Luna Lorienta.” Her shattered hope and hunger vanished as she sprang to her feet, unconcerned about the trembling in her legs caused by a lack of glucose.
“You have to reveal the whole thing before the upcoming war begins, or you reveal it immediately after the war ends.”
“I will do everything your way; I do not care as long as it destroys that witch,” Daisy said, her hands gripping the wall to support herself as the excitement caused her to tremble violently.
“I will not want my identity to be revealed to anyone.”
“I swear on my life that I will not do anything that will reveal your identity, especially since I have never seen your face.” She smiled nervously.
