Mavana’s head felt light as she attempted to process what she had just heard.
“Kill my mate?” She repeated it to ensure that he had not made a mistake.
“Yes, and that is the only condition, but if you do not do it, your life in this pack will end.” He smirked mischievously. having the impression that he has made her fearful.
“You truly believed that my life depended on this picture? I am shocked by your condition.”
“Instead of killing my mate, I will take your life first before going to the Civil Elder. It is not just word of mouth; I will fulfill my wish,” she declared with confidence and authority.
The Relation Elder looked at her, taken aback by the abrupt transition from nervousness to threat.
“The Pack will not like having a harlot as their Luna, but even if your Alpha disagrees, he must respect the opinions of his Pack.” He smirked.
Mavana wanted to respond to him, but she felt it was unnecessary and could not afford to spill anything that would cause problems.
“I will take my leave.” She bowed and turned to face the door, taking three steps forward before stopping in her tracks.
” You should probably do whatever you want. Print out the image and paste it everywhere. The smallest fuck? I am not giving it.” She said, opening the door with a bang.
Almost colliding with a muscular chest, she looked up and saw Daniel. Her mood changed instantly, and she hissed before walking past him.
He was fortunate to be present when a maid informed her about The Relation Elder’s desire for her presence. He trailed behind to see him.
“You will come around soon or later,” he said assertively before opening the door and entering the Relation Elder room.
He noticed The Relation Elder wandering around the room, his hand stroking his jaw. He was lost in his thoughts. Daniel took a seat and coughed to get his attention.
The Relation Elder turned to see Alpha Damian’s cousin sitting comfortably. He wanted to vent to him, but a creepy thought crossed his mind, making him smile.
“Why are you here?” He asked, taking a seat not far from Daniel’s.
“Why the cold attitude, Elder? I am here for something that will benefit both of us,” he said, his tone and smile cunningly directed at the elder.
” Okay?” The Relation Elder responded with more of a questioning tone.
“Are you not suspicious of the Royal Doctor?”
The question hit Relation Elder like a nuclear bomb in the chest, and he adjusted uncomfortably in his seat.
“What are you getting at with that question? Why would I suspect the royal doctor who has been working with us since Alpha Damian’s father’s birth?” The Relation Elder squinted to cover his disorganized thoughts.
“I mean, my cousin was poisoned when he was very young, and no cure has been found. Is not that unusual for a royal doctor? Even if he can not find a cure, the management techniques should last a long time,” Daniel said, trying to detect the smallest flicker of emotion on the relation Elder’s face.
“Get out of my room immediately!!” He ranted and pushed him out, ignoring his protests.
“I am here to work with you, though; we have a common goal,” Daniel smirked as the Relation Elder gradually dropped his hands and stood straight with a puzzled expression.
“You want Damian off the throne, and I want that too. You want to put someone you can control on the throne, and I am a very obedient motherfucker.” He continued, folding his arm as he waited for his reply.
**********””
Mavana wanders around, lost in her thoughts, unable to figure out what she wants to do next.
Any wrong action could jeopardize her and her mate’s lives. She let out a sigh as she placed her hands on her forehead.
“Perhaps I should just inform the Alpha’s mother; her eyes were already suspicious of the Elders.” She thought and turned to face the Alpha’s room. Her steps came to a halt when the maid who had smiled at her earlier blocked her path, her arms spread.
“What?” Perplexed, Mavana inquired. The maid only smiled and pinned a phone to Mavana’s palm before fleeing.
Mavana raised her palm as she stared at the unlocked phone’s screen, which displayed a play icon. “I am curious what this is?” She deliberated and decided to show the video in Alpha Damian’s room, in front of his mother.
She quickened her pace and arrived at the door in no time. Her hand wrapped around the doorknob, and she gently opened it.
“Who is there?” The Alpha’s mother inquires, raising her head. On seeing who entered, Her mind soothed.
Mavana approached her slowly and sat at the edge of the bed, where she was sitting.
Her gaze was fixed on the play icon, and she was unsure whether to click it or not. Without hesitation, she pressed the icon, and the situation between her and Daniel was displayed.
The Alpha’s mother’s eyes widened in utter surprise, “When did he arrive?” “With his witch mother?” She blurted out, having previously been unaware of their arrival or presence in the pack.
“Those bastards!” She cursed without even watching the video because she knew how clingy and desperate Daniel and his mother were.
The Alpha’s mother let out a gasp as she watched Daniel grab Mavana by the neck and hit her against the wall. She was boiling with rage and disgust.
“I hope he did not hurt you?” She questioned, inspecting Mavana’s body for bruises.
“He did nothing to me other than strangle me and hit me against the wall. I have shocking news.” She pressed her lips together, hesitant to say what the Relation Elder had proposed.
” You can share anything with me, except for my son and myself. I do not trust anyone else in this pack, but I felt a strange trust and support for you.” “I hope there is no problem.” The Alpha’s mother inquired in a low tone.
“Not much, ma’am; The Relation Elder has threatened to show the kissing part of this video to the audience,” she said, lowering her head.
The Alpha’s mother erupted immediately: “How dare he? That old frog,” she exclaimed.
“Why is he so intent on changing our family’s name? What was his condition? I know he does not make threats without first asking the person to do something.” She continued, her eyes fixed on Mavana, who took a deep breath before parting her lips.
“He asked me to kill my mate.”
Alpha Damian, who had been pretending to be asleep while listening to their conversation, raised his eyes.
“To kill me?” He inquired.
