“You need to find that Atrarian and keep an eye on him.”
“Yes, Mr. Arthur!”
In the presidential suite of the MGM Grand, Leo woke up feeling refreshed. After washing up, he ordered some gourmet food to satisfy his hunger.
As Leo put down his fork, Rupert appeared before him like a ghost.
“What’s the matter?” Leo asked calmly.
“Sir, today is the House Lessane gathering. I can sense many people have arrived at the family estate,” Rupert replied cautiously.
“Oh, who has come?” Leo asked indifferently.
Rupert thought for a moment and said, “Prince Devon, Duke Aubrey, Duke Barlow, Duke Barnett, Duke Ashburn, and Elder Archibald, who discovered the treasure clues. My father, Duke Angus, is also likely to come.”
Leo raised an eyebrow and asked, “Do you even want to kill your father?”
Rupert’s expression changed. After a moment of silence, he gritted his teeth and said, “The vampire clan does not value familial bonds. If my father knew I had betrayed the family, he would surely kill me himself.”
“Now I am merely your servant. Your interests are my top priority; everything else is secondary.”
Seeing Rupert speak so earnestly, Leo sneered inwardly. Vampires truly are cold-blooded creatures!
“Very well, Rupert. Your loyalty will be richly rewarded. Tonight, we can begin our operation.”
“Yes, sir!” Rupert bowed his head respectfully.
Northwest of Las Vegas lies a vast estate known as Clos Manor. At 8 PM tonight, a sinister feast was taking place in the central hall of Clos Manor.
Inside a large cage was a young woman whose face showed no fear-only calmness and drowsiness.
In front of the cage, nine vampires in black uniforms sat around a long dining table.
Under the dim lighting, the nine vampires’ eyes were fixed on the young woman’s neck, their expressions like starving beggars seeing a feast.
Marquis Arthur stood up and bowed slightly. “Alan, please prepare fresh blood for my father and our dear uncles and elders.”
Alan, standing behind Arthur, respectfully acknowledged and walked towards the cage.
At the cage, Alan raised his right hand, holding a sharp knife. He took a large glass from the side, holding it in one hand while wielding the knife in the other. He placed the glass under the young woman’s neck and made a small cut on her neck with the knife.
Crimson blood flowed from her neck into the glass. The young woman in the cage seemed to feel no pain and remained motionless as her blood continued to flow.
Soon, the life drained from her eyes. Alan’s glass was almost full.
Alan returned to the table with the steaming blood. Nine wine glasses were half-filled with fine wine. Alan poured the blood into each glass until they were full.
The mixture of blood and wine filled the hall with a strange sweet scent.
After distributing the drinks, Alan poured himself a glass and stood behind Arthur.
Arthur raised his glass high. “Elders of House Lessane, let us drink together.”
The vampires raised their glasses and drank the blood-infused wine in unison.
After enjoying their drink, one vampire exclaimed, “Wine mixed with virgin blood is the most delicious food in the world…”
This vampire wore the most luxurious uniform and exuded an air of nobility and authority. He was Prince Devon, head of House Lessane.
The other vampire dukes agreed with Devon’s praise.
“Unfortunately, the world is still controlled by humans. If we vampires ruled the world, we could enjoy such delicacies every day,” said Elder Archibald regretfully.
His words elicited sighs from the vampire dukes.
A bearded vampire duke then looked at Arthur and asked, “Arthur, my dear nephew, why isn’t your cousin Rupert here?”
“Uncle Angus, Rupert…” Arthur’s face showed sorrow and grief.
“What happened to Rupert?” Prince Devon frowned.
“Father, Uncle Angus, Rupert… he has tragically fallen,” Arthur said sadly.
The hall fell silent as every vampire froze in shock.
After a moment, Angus’s eyes glowed red with fury. “Who killed Rupert!?”
“Last night, an Atrarian caused trouble at the casino and won two billion dollars.”
“Rupert was furious and decided to teach him a lesson. I couldn’t stop him and let him go.”
“I never expected he wouldn’t return. Uncle Angus, it’s my fault; I didn’t take care of him.”
Arthur’s performance was impeccable-he looked heartbroken and remorseful. If vampires could cry, his clothes would be soaked with tears by now.
“Alan, is this true?” Prince Devon looked at Alan in shock.
“It is true, Your Highness,” Alan replied reluctantly.
“Damn it!” Duke Angus’s eyes flashed with blood-red light. “This is a blatant provocation against House Lessane! That damned Atrarian dared to kill my only heir. Your Highness, we must seek revenge!”
“Indeed, our noble vampire dignity cannot be desecrated!” Prince Devon’s face was also very grim.
“I think we should hold off on this matter for now, dear brother Angus. We have more important things tonight,” a thin duke suddenly said.
“Yes, compared to King Solomon’s treasure, nothing else matters. Your Highness, now is not the time for distractions,” Elder Archibald added.
“Indeed, the elder is right,” other dukes chimed in.
“Brother Angus, what do you think?” Prince Devon looked at Angus with some difficulty.
