Ava’s Request

Book:His Unwanted Bride (Married by Mistake) Published:2024-11-1

Adrian and Lola went for lunch and Patrick called Adrian, he wanted to introduce a certain person to him that would handle his design work.
“Meet me at the restaurant, let’s talk about it” Adrian Lester instructed. That way, Patrick and Oscar went to the restaurant where they met Adrian and his girlfriend.
Patrick Connor introduced Adrian Lester and his girlfriend to Oscar and did the same to Adrian.
Adrian shared lunch together with the duo, a situation that Lola completely dislikes. Somehow she’s not comfortable with Adrian being with different people, it makes her feel insecure.
Patrick Connor already dislikes Lola. When a woman doesn’t stay away from an ex-boyfriend despite being married, such women are characterless.
Lola’s return to New Jersey was going to ruin Adrian’s marriage completely beginning from the scandal of the previous evening.
Lola noticed that Patrick wouldn’t spare her a glance after saying hi. He even introduced her as his friend, not using the word “girlfriend” he doesn’t count her worthy of him then.
“There are other things I would like to know about you and your work. But we can discuss that tomorrow morning with Lester’s cooperation…” Adrian Lester concluded.
Patrick Connor and Oscar soon left. As they drove in Patrick’s car, Oscar asked “When did Nelly become Lola?
This is Nelly, the daughter of his parents’ neighbour. How come she’d become Lola? She might not recognize him, but he does and what he’d heard about her was not nice at all.
“Nelly? Who’s Nelly?” Patrick Connor asked, completely lost.
“That woman with Mr Lester. She’s Nelly and she’s the daughter of my parents’ neighbour,”Oscar informed.
She’s really looking gorgeous sitting next to that man that he almost took her to be his girlfriend except that Patrick said Mr Adrian was married.
Patrick Connor smiled. Oscar was mistaken someone else to be Lola. That woman in there is Lola Carrero, daughter of a retired admiral and a model.
“No she’s not Nelly. She’s Lola Carrero and she’s a model. She’s Adrian Lester’s ex-girlfriend. She’d just returned from Paris a few days ago.
Oscar squinted and was quiet for a while. Is he wrong? Can’t he recognise Nelly when he sees her, simply because she was dressed expensively?
She might have risen to become a model, he doesn’t dispute that, but she’s the same person called Nelly. When he would get enough evidence and show them to Patrick Connor.
*******************
For the entire day, Ava didn’t step out. Alice took dinner to her in her room. She was worried sick for the poor woman and wondered how she’d take her medicine if she didn’t come downstairs for dinner.
Ava thanked her and told her to return to her room. Alice asked her why she wouldn’t eat and sleep early and the latter said, she cannot sleep until she’d done certain things that night.
Not sure of whatever Ava wants to do, she left and Ava shut the door and bolted it again. She doesn’t trust that woman Anna, she could walk into her room at any time to vent her anger unrestrained.
Ava remained awake until minutes before midnight before she heard the honk of Adrian’s car. She stood up and looked through the window, he was back.
Thank goodness, he didn’t spend the night with his mistress otherwise her waiting would have been in vain again, as always. But she felt her belly sweet that for the first time, she didn’t wait in vain.
Few minutes later she heard the door open and knew Adrian had stepped into his room. She waited another fifteen minutes and stepped out of her room and went to knock on his door.
Adrian just stepped out of the bathroom and wore his night robe when he heard the knock on his door. Who could it be, it’s definitely not grandfather. Maybe his dad.
He tied his robe firmly around his waist and went to get the door. His face turned into a mask as he saw the person standing before him to be Ava Leon.
He glared at her with irritation and looked at her from her head to her toes. She doesn’t appear like a sexually starved woman who comes to plead for sex.
She was dressed in jeans and a polo and her hair was made into a high ponytail. She looks sweet and attractive. Was she going somewhere or why is she dressed up that way at such a time?
For the first time, he thinks he admires her looks. She’s not looking bad after all. But despite that, she’s nothing to be compared to his love, Lola Carrero.
“What do you want?” Adrian demanded, his voice cold and his stare coming from a stone hearted glare.
Ava Leon looked around before saying, “We need to talk” and her words were firm and carried a confidence that Adrian had never heard before.
But Adrian was not interested in letting her come into his room. Who says they can only talk in his room?
“Will you let me in or not?” Ava asked in an authoritative tone, her gaze on his face without a blink and Adrian squinted. What is giving Ava such an audacious attitude to talk to him that way?
Spending the evening in the storm and ending up in the hospital had probably done her better than he’d expected. It appears she needs to spend more time in the storm and nights on the hospital bed henceforth.
“I will not,” Adrian Lester replied. The audacity of her to order him in his own room.
Without another word, Ava pushed the door open wider and stepped in. She expected Adrian to push her out, hence she was prepared and wore jeans but he didn’t.
She turned and saw him shut the door behind them and turned to face her.
Ava Leon was shocked. Did he have this sensible part in his cruel nature?
“Haven’t I made it clear to you from the first day never to step your feet in my bedroom?” Adrian demanded, his voice hoarse. He kept his gaze on Ava and wondered if she remembered how he threw her out on their wedding night.
And since then, she hadn’t stepped her feet in his bedroom nor had he consummated their miserable marriage with her. And now, she comes to him, what does she want? Sex?
Ava Leon chuckled softly. Gullible, she thought. He said that truly but did he remember how he fucked her in this room few days ago and moaned out in pleasure? On this bed, in this room, he consummated their union and took her purity as her wedding gift to him.
“How can I forget that?” Ava replied and continued, her hands in her pants pocket “there isn’t anything good about your room that attracts or intrigues me.
Being in prison is safer than being in a room of a cruel nature man like you. But because I want to discuss something really vital, that would be beneficial for us both, I had to endure the compressed air of cruelty and unfaithfulness that filled this room” Ava declared and glanced around the room in disgust.
Adrian was shocked at her words and kept his gaze on her, seeing how she glanced at his prestigious room.
“I want a divorce” Ava declared.
