A changed Woman

Book:His Unwanted Bride (Married by Mistake) Published:2024-11-1

When Ava arrived home, she met her mother-in-law. Her father in-law had definitely left for his usual meetings with investors and partners.
He is never out of meetings just like his son. She cannot even tell which of the two men are busier than the other. The only differences between them was that Richard Lester returned home to his wife while Adrian Lester wandered away to the thighs of a mistress.
Anna glanced at Ava from her head to her toes and pouted her lips. There isn’t anything wrong with her after all. She looks alright except that her facial expression looks pale.
“Good morning mother” Ava greeted. Now, everything seemed to be different from her point of view. Calling Anna Lester mother seemed to irritate her.
“You aren’t bad after all. I thought you would be hospitalised for days or probably weeks. But you are strong and well immune. Thank goodness for the Lester family nutritious meal…”Anna Lester was saying when Ava simply strode away.
Alice had never felt happy in her life with Ava like she felt that moment. She stood and watched Ava going towards the direction of her narrow bedroom.
“How dare you walk out on me while I’m talking?” Anna scowled. This woman has gotten guts. She dares to walk out on her?
Ava paused and turned back to say “I need to take some rest. I can’t stand your injurious words” and went on. What does she think, that she would stand before her with her head bowed and whimpering?
Not anymore, she’s not ever going to do so henceforth.
“Ava Leon! How dare you say my words are injurious?” Anna scowled louder, her fury all over her face.
“If you think my claim is wrong, prove it to me, now and here. Besides, you are hypertensive. You would only succeed in raising your blood pressure more if you kept up with that fury” and disappeared behind the door.
Alice heard the door being bolted from behind before she groggily stormed off in the direction of the servant quarters. Her excitement knows no bounds.
Anna Lester was left dumbfounded. Does Ava Leon have such an attitude? Does she really have an audacious attitude lying underneath her quiet spirit?
Amazing!
But then she’s right, she really was hypertensive. She will for once, listen to her words and imbibed her advice. Is she also a fiery lady?
The day went normal and by lunch, Lola came to find Adrian in the office. They could go for lunch together. As she got in, she met the latter on the phone.
“… every information about the contract is already sent to my email. I have them downloaded on my computer. We can’t afford to lose that multimillion dollar contract like the previous…” he was saying as he stood up and went to kiss Lola on her cheeks.
When he was done talking, he pulled her up and kissed her lips sweetly. He missed her and would have spent the night with her but as usual, Ava Leon would always come in between.
“I missed you my love” Adrian Lester confessed and held her by the waist, bringing her close to his lower body in a romantic grinding.
“I miss you more, baby. I thought we would have the night to ourselves, but what can I do, your wife is more important than me” Lola stuttered, in a pitiful state.
Adrian Lester cupped her face in his palm and said “As far as Adrian Lester is concerned, besides my Mom, the only woman important to me is you Lola Carrero and nothing is ever going to change that” he assured her.
How can she think little about herself in his heart? That he disappointed her two years ago doesn’t mean that he would ever repeat the same. To be candid, he accepted the marriage against all odds because that’s what his grandfather proposed before he could handle the company.
Now that he’d found his feet properly, he would fling that woman off like a flea and announced publicly that Lola Carrero is his choice and the woman he loved.
“How can you say this, Adrian? I am ashamed of myself for being a mistress to you. You are married, I shouldn’t be hovering over you at all…” Lola was saying and pulled away from Adrian’s hug.
“To be fair, Adrian, we should part ways. You are married and I am single. There isn’t a chance for us and I am jealous that I still can’t have you despite my love for you” Lola concluded and Sank into the sofa.
“Did you come in here to break my heart, Lola? You know till tomorrow, you’re the only woman I’m in love with. How can you think of leaving me at this point where my decision is made to be a free man again?
If you’re going to leave me, do it now, so that I can take my eyes and heart away from you?” Adrian seethed.
A part of Lola’s belly felt sweet. So he would be leaving her soon. That’s good news. Something like this would make the boss happy when he hears it.
“Don’t get upset with me, Adrian. You know the feeling of seeing your lover in the arms of another woman and you cannot do anything about it” Lola feigned unhappiness.
“We’re getting divorced. I’ll go head bent on it and no one can say otherwise” Adrian Lester assured her.
“Do you do things with her, like intimate moments and sex…” Lola asked, staring into his eyes.
“Hell no. How can I do something like that with her? I’ve never kissed her let alone having sex with her. The last person I remember having intimate moments with was you and it can always be you, only?” Adrian rebuffed.
Gosh! Is he crazy to ever think of having sex with that poor thing. No, he isn’t that gullible.
“Me? I’m still a virgin, waiting for our wedding night” Lola lied. How can he say he had intimate moments with her, he was only cajoling her.
“Yeah.. sure. you’ll always remain a virgin to me for as long as I live” Adrian Lester teased. She cannot imagine it that she let him fuck her that night.
Lola blushed.
