KEIRAN’s POV.
I strolled into Akira’s quarters after ensuring that Kael was nowhere close, a wide smile plastered on my face. “Hey, Akira. What’s up?”
Akira’s eyes narrowed her hand on the dagger at her waist. “Keiran. What do you want?”
I chuckled, my eyes on hers. “Oh, I think you know why I’m here, Akira. You’re a smart girl.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, her voice firm, her hand still on the dagger.
I laughed, the sound low and husky, yet chilling. “Don’t play dumb, Akira. It doesn’t suit you.”
“I am serious, I have no idea why you are. Get lost.” She hissed.
I took a step closer, my eyes never leaving hers. “You know exactly why I’m here. And you know what I want.”
Akira’s eyes blazed with anger, but I just smiled. It was time to put my plan into action. No more long talks, let’s get down to business.
I raised my hand, my fingers moving as I cast a spell. Akira’s eyes glazed over, her pupils dilating as she fell under my control.
“Kaida…” she whispered, her voice barely audible.
I smiled, my heart racing with excitement, like a kid who got candy. This was it. This was the moment I’d been waiting for.
“Yes, Kaida,” I said, my voice low and commanding. “Let’s talk about Kaida.”
Akira’s eyes blazed with anger, and she took a step forward and took the dagger lying on the floor. But it wasn’t me she saw – it was Kaida, standing in front of her, taunting her.
“You’ll never be good enough,” Kaida sneered, her voice echoing in Akira’s mind.
Akira snarled, her dagger’s blade flashing under the moonlight. “I’ll show you…”
And then, she was fighting Kaida, their blades clashing. But it was all just a hallucination, a product of my spell.
I watched, my heart pounding with excitement, as Akira fought Kaida. She was so fierce, so passionate. It was almost… admirable.
But I did not have the luxury of time. My brother can pop up anytime and that would mean death for me.
“Kill her, Akira,” I said, my voice low and commanding. “Kill Kaida.”
Akira nodded. She turned towards Kaida, her dagger raised.
“Wait,” I said, my hand on her arm. “Not yet. First, you have to see her.”
Akira’s eyes narrowed, but she nodded. She turned towards Kaida’s lifeless body that leaned against the tree, her gaze on her.
“Look at her, Akira,” I said, my voice whispering in her ear. “Look at the woman who betrayed you. Who hated you, who tried to take everything from you.”
Akira’s eyes flashed with anger, and she took a step closer to Kaida.
“Yes,” I hissed, my voice encouraging her. “See her for what she is. A traitor. A liar. A murderer.”
Akira’s hand tightened on the dagger, and she raised it, ready to stab Kaida.
“Now,” I said, my voice low and deadly. “Now, Akira. Kill her.”
Akira’s eyes locked on Kaida, and she took a step closer.
“Akira, don’t!” The fake Kaida screamed, but Akira didn’t listen.
With a swift and precise, deadly motion, Akira pushed the dagger into Kaida’s heart. Kaida’s eyes widened in shock, and she fell to the ground, dead for the second time.
Akira stood over her, the dagger still in her hand, her eyes flashing with triumph.
And then, she turned to me, her eyes locked on mine.
“It’s done,” she said, her voice low and menacing.
I smiled, my heart racing with excitement. This was it. I have finally tricked Akira into killing Kaida, but one more thing before I started my victory dance.
“Yes,” I said, my voice low and husky. “It’s done. You’ve avenged yourself, Akira. You’ve taken back control. You have gotten rid of the daughter of the man who killed your mother.” Akira nodded.
But then, her eyes closed and fluttered, and she looked around, confused.
My heart skipped a beat as I thought I must have been so excited and the spell was broken.
“What… what happened?” she stammered.
I let out a sigh of relief. “Still got her.”
“You don’t remember?” I asked.
Akira’s eyes narrowed, and she shook her head.
“No,” she said, her voice firm. “I don’t remember anything.”
I laughed, the sound low and chilling.
“That’s okay, Akira,” I said, whispering in her ear. “You don’t need to remember. You just need to know that it’s done. And that you’re free now.”
“Okay.” She said and stood still like she was rooted to the spot.
In a way she was, cause I am controlling her. Time to put that control to use, end this charade, and get out of here while my head is still on my neck and not in Kael’s claws.
” Now, Akira, I want you to do something for me.”
“What is it?” Akira asked her eyes on Kaida’s corpse.
I took a step closer to her, my voice low and dangerous. “I want you to hug Kaida. Yes, hug her. Hold her close, so her blood and scent are all over you. Mix your scent with hers.”
Akira’s brows furrowed in confusion, but she didn’t hesitate. She walked over to Kaida’s lifeless body and knelt beside her.
“Go on,” I whispered in her ear. “Hug her. Hold her close.”
Akira’s arms wrapped around Kaida’s body, and she pulled her close. Kaida’s blood stained Akira’s clothes, and her scent filled the air.
“Yes,” I hissed, my eyes locked on the two dummies. “Yes, that’s it. Now, you’re a part of her.”
Akira held Kaida’s body for a few moments before I gave her the word. Then, she stood up, Kaida’s blood and scent all over her.
I smiled, my heart racing with excitement. “Good girl, Akira. Now, go back to your room and sit still. Don’t move, don’t speak. Just sit.”
Akira’s eyes blazed with anger, but she nodded. She turned and walked away, her movements akin to a robot.
“Now for the last stunt,” I whispered and pulled out my phone, dialing a number.
“I have something for you.”
