Chapter 25
DAVINA’S POV
My jaw dropped at the end of it. “Oh wow, I mumbled after seeing an exclusive immense party.”
“Look who’s here?” His voice… I recognized that familiar voice. Oh my god, it’s Ryan!
“Hello, “kitten,” he greeted sarcastically. My escort stood behind me, with Ryan not far behind.
“Who are you, young man?” he asked. Ryan chuckled at his words.
“Young man?” he laughed as he tried to get a glimpse of my face, but his view was obstructed by my escort.
I didn’t even have a chance to ask for my escort’s name. I swallowed hard.
“We have the authority to bring him to his knees, Davina. Why are you afraid? your stepbrother?”
“You woke me up because of how scared you are,” Lexie’s sleepy voice came loudly to my head, which caused me to pause for a few seconds and think.
“Sorry, I apologize. I will handle him,” I said. At this moment, I feel brave and energetic. Thank you, Lexie.
“Enough, Ryan!” I interrupted, taking a step forward.
Grow wings after being sold, huh?
“Do you realize you are talking to the-Don’t talk to him, I will handle it.” I cut in immediately. I don’t want Ryan to know how superior I am, he will regret this when I’m done with him.
“You look different, I must admit.”
“The Alpha won’t be pleased to see us here after keeping him waiting,” whispered my escort in my ear.
“He left me alone as soon as we arrived,” I didn’t hesitate.
“And keeping your Alpha waiting just for a meaningless conversation is the right thing to do?” He spoke coldly as he approached us, accompanied by his escorts.
My lips trembled upon seeing him; his facial expression was simple, but the aura around him was significant. I swerved and apologized instantly.
Meanwhile, Ryan looked confused, but the smirk on his face wouldn’t fade. “Maybe he has no idea who Tristan is.”
“You are fired, Grady!”
“Yes, my Alpha!”
I gasped, staring at my escort named Grady. Did he respond, “Yes, my alpha”?
“Alpha Tristan?” I grumbled, still perplexed at what had just happened.
“The party wouldn’t be complete without my Luna by my side-
“Luna?” came Ryan’s shaking voice.
I chose to ignore him. I was feeling perplexed about what had just happened. Tristan took my hand and walked me out of the hallway. As I turned back, I saw Grady wearing a sad expression. My heart broke into pieces as he seemed nice and cool.
I glanced at Ryan and chuckled at how speechless he was.
“Oh, yeah, I’m a Luna now!” My mind drifts back to Grady.
“I need to take action; Grady can’t leave like that,” I thought while gazing at Tristan. I should have discussed this with him because it was my fault.
“Hmmm, Tristan.”
“Huh.” He responded.
“Grady”
“What about him?”
“It was my fault, I cho-
“I don’t rehire those I’ve fired!”
“Ha” The constant shock I was experiencing made me doubt that Grady would be accepted. But I’m determined not to give up. I can’t let a good man go just because of my mistakes and cluelessness. I took my seat because it was offered to me. As I looked around, I found myself in a challenging but rewarding environment, sitting under a shelter. I thought to myself, “Those could be the team members,” as I tried to catch sight of everyone in the vicinity. I observed well-dressed children running around the field, but of course, kids would be kids, and there were stains on their clothes.
A man came up behind me, and although I didn’t see him, I sensed his presence. Carefully, I realized Tristan was not with me again; now I was alone, without even my escort Grady.
Damn!” I thought to myself as I turned around. And there he was, towering over everyone else. “Oh wow, he’s tall..” I paused and pondered, “Have I seen you somewhere before, but I can’t recall where?”
“Hahaha, why don’t you make more of an effort?” he suggested and sat down next to me.
I kept staring at him, trying so hard to remember where I had seen him. It could only have been in the pack.
“Gosh!” I exclaimed in frustration.
“We met at Alpha Tristan Pack, wait, hold on!” I interrupted. “Michael, Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack,” I recalled with a beaming smile.
“Haha, Moon Goddess, that was super close, I was trying so hard to remember. “I uttered and he smiled.
“Seems you and Tristan aren’t on good terms.”
“Yeah, Tristan doesn’t like seeing me winning, he just has this pure hatred-
“He doesn’t appear to be what you portray him to be Michael. Why are you trying to talk bad about him-
“Funny, you don’t know who he is. New Luna, alright!” He smirked and proceeded to reach for my neck. I shifted back a bit, distancing myself from His touch after a few memories of how Tristan was mad at me just by seeing his jacket on my shoulder.
Thinking of that moment made me realize Tristan would be furious if he saw me having a conversation with Michael.
“We should stop this conversation, Tristan won’t be pleased seeing you next to me?” I uttered calmly and he nodded. More like a sarcastic nod.
“But you are open for everyone, he hasn’t claimed you yet.”
“MIND YOUR WORDS!!!” Lexie snarled, trying to take full control. I pushed her back.
“Stay calm, I will handle him, don’t you dare try to shift,” I warned.
“His words are not sitting right with me, he just called me a whore, called us a slut.” She snarled.
“ALPHA MICHAEL!!” Tristan roared, landing him a punch in the face! I saw Michael fly so fast to the ground as I scurried to my feet.
“Tristan!”
“Seriously! Having a conversation with him!” He approached me, so furious. I saw his eye glow red, gradually it kept getting bright.
“Tristan, calm down, Tristan, please calm down- in a swift, I saw him flying to the right side.
Oh Gosh, Michael at it!
