DAVINA’S POV
In all I do, I don’t like going against an instruction given to me for peace to reign. Tammy’s tears triggered my emotional side and I lost control over it. There was a moment when I thought I could get hold of her and calm her down, then disappear back to my room. But getting closer revealed a lot more than expected, she needs faith, faith to believe am not like her nanny. I’m the Luna, who is after the welfare of the pack and a pack are the members.
She must have been lonely and I don’t want her to be anymore, now that I am here… I can build a bond of trust, love, and affection. I’m the Luna and the pack priority is mine and the Alpha.
His scents filled the air and I knew he was so close, not too close but it kept getting closer and closer. I felt him by my neck, his breath was so warm and it sent chills down my spine. I badly wanted the ground to devour me so badly, a part of me was not scared, but I was indeed scared that moment because I knew playing with his daughter wasn’t something I should be doing, after his stern warning of not getting closer to his daughter.
Had to plead guilty, that’s how I could save myself from getting injured again. But then again, his attitude towards me was a bit different, was he trying to be friendly? Or he’s just teasing me? His green eyeballs, I can stare at it forever if I get the chance to…
I looked into his eyes and I realized I liked him. He’s acting all different today, realization hits me that he’s just not who they portrayed him to be outside the pack.
“And there you are!” Her tiny voice came up, so loud, that it snapped me out of my thoughts and I lost my balance. I think I fell, but it didn’t but I think did fell.
“Ouch!” I whimper after his forehead collides with mine.
“A kiss on your forehead should ease the pain?” He asked but it sounded sarcastic and playful.
“GET OFF HER!” Tammy yelled again and this time around she had an animal-skinned rope in her hand, wait! She wants to wipe his ass with that! I couldn’t help but laugh at how dramatic she was.
“You should smile more often.” He whispered in my ears, getting back my attention.
“I would love to stand up now, I can’t breathe… ” I felt nervous. Even though I want the moment to last forever, I don’t have to show it.
“Daddy, stand up!” Tammy screamed, pulling him by his clothes.
“Aight! I will stand up now.” He mumbled, getting up on his feet. I tried to stand up but he stopped me, stretching forth his hand for me to grab.
“Thank you.” I appreciated and dusted my clothes.
“Hello, brother!” Javier Interrupted and we turned around.
“Where have you been?” Tristan asked not moving an inch. I looked at Tammy and she rolled her eyes away.
I chuckled, is she kidding me right now? While Javier and Tristan were having a conversation, I pulled Tammy closer. She stood akimbo, turning her face away.
“You betrayed our friendship!” She yells in a whisper.
“I didn’t, there was no rule.”
“But you talked to Daddy and you know I am angry at him?”
“Yeah, he’s my mate and he’s the Alpha-
“If I am angry at someone, you should too. You are my friend.” She interrupted with a furious facial expression.
“Okay, if talking to Tristan made you mad, I’m sorry.” I apologized and she laughed.
“I was just pulling your legs-
“Go back to your room, Tammy,” Tristan instructed and the fear on Tammy’s face grew instantly.
“Why should she?” I asked. I had to, he needed to know about her nanny’s wrongdoings.
“Are you questioning my authority right now?” He seethed at me.
“Of course not. Don’t get me wrong. I’m fine having her around. Neither of us complained about each other, just wondering why you want her back in her room so soon.” I bowed after my explanation.
“I can’t leave her alone here, because you will excused soon-
“I will be excused?” I arch my brows and he nodded.
“So Tammy-
“Before that…I cut in. Can I say something?” I asked, looking down at Tammy who wasn’t ready to let go of my hand.
“Sure, go ahead.” Tristan and Javier, his brother, looked at me with keen interest.
“Can you install a closed-circuit television in her room?”
“Huh! I didn’t catch that well! Why such of a sudden.” He inquired. He’s so invested and I don’t think we will believe the words of my mouth. I thought, staring back at Tammy.
“Do have a solid reason why such should be in her room. Because they are only outside the pack building and the pack office, at least for security reasons. So yours should have a reason for saying such.” Javier detailed and I sighed deeply.
“No, it’s not serious-
“Are you for real right now?!” Tammy shouted, her face looked funny but this moment wasn’t for her facial expressions.
“Is there anything wrong Tammy?” Tristan asked worriedly. He made an excuse as he moved closer to his daughter.
“Dont act as if you care because you don’t-
“Tammy! Don’t be rude to the Alpha.” I cautioned and she nodded, gulping the rest of the words she wanted to say.
“Was she the one that said she wanted a closed-circuit television in her room?” Tristan raised his head to ask and I shook my head sideways.
“No, but I feel she should for security reasons and proof. I don’t know how you will react if you get to know what she’s going through.”
“Will you stop beating around the bush and tell me the fuck that is going on?!” He yelled, his eyeballs glowed again for seconds and it went back to its normal self.
“My nanny used to bully me, Daddy?!” Tammy burst into tears.
“What?!” Tristan and Beta Javier exclaimed.
“What the fuck?!” Tristan yelled. Getting on his feet. He growled loudly, and Lexie let out a silent whimper. Tammy pulled her dress and I gasped at the sight of heavy marks on her back.
“Oh, moon goddess!” I screamed, rushing to pull her clothes off, for a better view.
“Holy Shit!” Tristan cursed and his veins became visible. His eyes and face were not something to talk about.
