SCARLET’S POV
Moorso begged me anxiously. “Please, my Chamlar, you have to relax… my Chamlar…”
Before he was done, Atoor added. “You have to calm down, my Chamlar, please” I could see the desperation in her eyes.
“Yes… at least for Chamlee..” Tensa added too.
Why were they all asking me to be calm, have I not been calm long enough, have I not done all I could for the Chamlee? I don’t care about Pixolands, I don’t care whatever becomes of it. Even if it means taking my Chamlee away from their negativity, then I will. I will do all it takes for my Chamlee to be alive.
“You don’t ask me to calm down” I screamed pointing at them. I don’t want their unreasonableness anymore, I am not ready to harbor any of such.
I was still in my thoughts when I suddenly felt this uneasy feeling in my stomach, and before I could grasp what was happening, my mouth became filled and heavy. I was going to throw up and everywhere was already beginning to spin. “Ahhh…” I exclaimed in fear and placed my hands over my mouth.
Seeing my state, Atoor immediately rushed over to me and asked in anxiety. “My Chamlar, are you okay… My Chamlar, what is happening to you?”
I could not bear to continue to listen to her or answer her question so I pushed her away from me and rushed to the restroom in great fear.
“What is happening to me?” I asked myself after I had finished throwing up.
Strangely, I felt instantly relieved after I finished throwing up but I still panicked. I hope that I am not about to fall sick, not now when the Chamlee needs me.
“Are you okay, Chamlar?” I heard a voice ask.
I turned to look at the door. “You…” I mumbled.
“It is nothing, my Chamlar, you are perfectly alright,” she said with a broad smile.
“What are you doing here? Yes, I am fine now, it is just some little discomfort” I replied calmly.
She came over, took my hands, and led me out of the restroom.
“I already said I am fine, you don’t have to treat me as if I am going to die the next minute” I protested.
“Come on, my Chamlar, see you need all the rest you can get now. You don’t need to stress yourself at all” she said with a smile.
“You can let go of my hands now, Atoor, I can find my way” I persisted.
“Okay, come and sit on the bed. You might feel dizzy a little” She led me to sit on the bed.
“I said I am fine…” Before I could complete my sentence, my eyes began to spill a little. “… I will be fine…” I murmured.
“What happened to the Chamlar?” Moorso asked.
Atoor looked at me and smiled, and then she smiled at everyone. I was too tired to think about what she was up to.
“Our Chamlar is pregnant, we will get an heir soon…” she announced.
“I am… pregnant…” I stammered and looked at my flat stomach.
“Oh… congratulations to Pixolands, this is great news to us…” Tensa exclaimed in excitement.
“B… but… it was just… just once…” I stammered.
“It does not have to be for nine months, my Chamlar” Atoor giggled.
“Congratulations to… to… us,” Chamlee said and grabbed my hands weakly.
“My Chamlee…” I cried. “My… Chamlee…”
“Yes, my queen… we must cherish the child…” he said very weakly with a tiny smile.
“You don’t have to say much, Fernanda, we will both love this child…” I assured him.
“No matter what, do all you can… for the… child…” he said.
“We would be together, Fernanda, always as I family…” I replied.
Even now, my resolve is very high. Now that we are having a baby, my Chamlee has no right to die. He is going nowhere. He must remain here for us to raise this child together. I will give up everything, not just for my Chamlee, but also for our baby. I will do everything for us to remain as a family.

LANDON’S POV
We were all seated, waiting anxiously for the arrival of the Chamlar.
She has given the order, nothing must happen to the Chamlee. No stone must be left unturned. Everyone must contribute their quarters and bring in anyone that we know can be of help to the situation.
Now that it has been revealed that Chamlar is with a child, she has resolved to do all it takes to see that the child is not without a father. She is ready to give up everything to see that the child has a complete family.
I have exhausted all the avenues I could think of for the Chamlee, and even now, I doubt the Chamlar would want to give a listening ear to my suggestion. But I will still try, it might not be a sure solution, but we have to start from somewhere.
Everyone was anxious, none wanted to upset the Chamlar at this point, we were all walking on invisible eggshells around the queen.
Soon, the Chamlar entered and we all stood and bowed until she took her throne.
“Sit everyone” she ordered and we did as instructed.
She went straight to the business of the day. “Landon, you can speak now, what did you come up with?”
My heart skipped as soon as she called out my name. I hope that for the sake of my long service to her, she spares my life after listening to what I have to say. Or maybe I should not have even thought of this, what was I even thinking, what got into me?
“We don’t have all day, Landon, you can speak now or we all return to our various activities” the Chamlar was already impatience and did not fail to reveal it.
I stood up immediately. “My… my Chamlar, it is about the health of the Chamlee” I began.
“You can still talk, Landon, make use of your mouth,” Moorso urged in irritation.
“I… I am sorry” I begged. “Please my Chamlar, I would like for you to take into consideration the fact that all my actions ever since I came to your service are all for your good. I agree that I may not always be right, but that is a decision left at your discretion. Only you can say if I am right or wrong”
The Chamlar thought about what I said for some seconds and said. “Go on, Landon”
“Thank you, my Chamlar. I have looked into the case of the Chamlee and this is just my analysis. Mere analysis that I was able to draw” I said.
“Okay, Landon, go on with it,” the Chamlar instructed.
I was a bit relieved. The Chamlar seems to have calmed down a little. “My Chamlar, the state of health of the Chamlee. I can’t help but juxtapose it with what happened to your son, Lalic during the plague at Wild Cloak Pack”
“What are your inferring, Landon?” the Chamlar asked.
“I am sorry, my Chamlar, I have not arrived at a conclusion yet but I did a study of the plague at Wild Cloak. Lalic is one of the very first kids who were hit by the strange plague. Other kids die within a week or two of being infected but that was not the case with Lalic. I agree that the spell was meant for a werewolf but even the healers find it strange that the Chamlee can still survive until now. I cannot help but conclude that there is a peculiarity between these two cases. I would ask that research is focused on that direction and who knows, we might soon come up with a solution” I said.
Who am I to suggest that Lalic should be used as an experiment to heal the Chamlee. Even though I strongly believe that this will be the solution, I cannot suggest so until I am very sure. Especially considering how much Lalic means to the Chamlar and the Chamlee they would not waste a second to behead me if I should go in that direction.
The Chamlar smirked and her face became fierce once again. She gazed at me intensely.
“And what are you pointing at, Landon?” Moorso asked.
“No… nothing yet. I am not very sure yet, we just have to look into it” I stuttered.
“You are not saying Lalic should be experimented with, are you?” Tensa asked me with his eyes shooting at me.
“No… I have not gotten to that, it is just the similarity, that is all” I replied.
“You started off so well, Landon, and that is your saving grace. I don’t want to have this discussion again” the Chamlar said. She got up from her throne and walked out without giving me another look.
What was I even thinking? I should have known that if that was the solution, even the Chamlar would not hear of it. I should never have thought of such.
