LARA’S POV
I hate to have her with us and no matter how harmless she might appear, I still do not trust her. She can fool Scarlet all she wants, but she can never fool us.
“What do you think, Lara?” she asked again.
I ignored her again. She had asked this question before and I pretended like I was not paying attention to her suggestion.
But why is she acting all nice and sweet? She does not need to try to please us, because as far as we are concerned, no, as far as Rich and I are concerned, she can never impress us.
“Lara,” she called again.
“Obviously her mind is not here” Scarlet replied.
“Rich, don’t you think it will be nice to go see a movie tonight? Once we are done from here, we can all head straight for the cinemas” she asked Rich.
“Violet, that would only depend on if the luna is open to such idea” Rich replied.
“See, I think we should just head home after here. We have had enough for tonight anyway” I replied gently.
Scarlet had brought her along with her to her five-star restaurant. Isn’t it enough that she had to perch on us for tonight, why is she suggesting going to the movies? This trip was supposed to be between just us, and with her here, I can barely enjoy my night.
“But come on, Lara, I don’t think her suggestion is that bad. As soon as we are done from here, we could stop by the cinema for a nice movie. See my husband has given his permission for me to spend the whole night outside, and see the night has just begun” Scarlet appealed.
“Luna, we can stay here for as long as we want to. It is very nice out here and the music is just right for the night” I replied.
“But then, see the couples dancing over there. It makes me feel all alone and I wish the alpha is here with me. Let’s go for the movie after here” she said.
“If it is about the dance, why don’t you have a dance with your friend here, Rich? Since you desire to dance, Rich is here for you” Violet said.
“Really” Scarlet exclaimed. “What do you think of that, Lara?” she asked me.
Sincerely, I don’t have an idea of what to say. It seems like a great idea, but coming from Violet, one might have to use a filter to see through the real motive behind the suggestion.
Anyways, since that would mean that we don’t have to spend extra time with her at the cinema then I am open to the idea.
“That would be great, luna. Remember Rich is your official escort for tonight so having a dance with him would not be out of place. So go on, have that dance” I replied.
“But then, I don’t know if Rich would want to” Scarlet murmured.
“It is not like he has a choice, you are the luna aren’t you? You can make him do what you want” Violet replied.
Is she for real? Did she just ask Scarlet to order Rich to dance against his will? I don’t think she is humane, what person makes another dance even when they don’t feel like it?
I felt irritated by her presence, but I just have to tolerate her for tonight, at least for the sake of Scarlet. Hopefully, after tonight, I will never be caught up with her.
“Hmm” Scarlet inhaled.
“Sure. And after the dance, we will be off to the cinema” Violet added.
“The cinema!” I and Rich exclaimed.
“What is wrong with you too, you’ve always loved to go to the cinema so why not today?” Scarlet inquired.
She gave us a pity look, begging that we agreed with her on this.
“And Rich, would you please have this dance with me?” she asked.
“Anything for my luna” Rich replied.
“And would you guys accept my invite to the cinemas later tonight?” she asked.
I inhaled. If she wanted this, then we have to do it for her. But this would be the last time that Violet would be allowed to have her way with us.
SCARLET’S POV
“It is not like he has a choice, you are the luna aren’t you? You can make him do what you want” she said.
For a moment I felt mad at her for daring to speak so low of my friend. Who does she think she is? Being the luna does not give one the right to go about making people do what they don’t want to. But realizing that she still has a lot to learn as regards her manners, I inhaled. I am determined to teach her and make her act properly.
“Sure. And after the dance, we will be off to the cinema” she added.
“The cinema!” my friends both exclaimed.
“What is wrong with you too, you’ve always loved to go to the cinema so why not today?” I said.
I know just how they would be feeling. Putting up with someone like Violet is not easy for me too, but then, we all have to endure her and give her the second chance that she begged for.
“And Rich, would you please have this dance with me?” I requested.
“Anything for my luna” Rich smiled.
“And would you guys accept my invite to the cinemas later tonight?” I asked properly.
I saw the look on their faces. Left for them, they would not have agreed to the idea of spending extra time with Violet, and I am happy that they are doing this just so as to please me.
“If that is what you want, my luna” Lara accepted.
“We will if that will make you happy” Rich said.
I smiled at both of them. I am happy that they trust me and were ready to go out of their way for me. For their unfaltering loyalty, I hereby promise to always have their backs.
Rich got up and bowed in front of me. I held out my hand to me, and he led me away to the dance floor.
I must confess that dancing with Rich was more of dream come true. It felt like an extra topping on the gifts of the moon goddess.
It felt weird, I feel weird. Why was I feeling this way while dancing with Rich? I was completely lost in his world. I love my husband, Jake with hundred percent of my heart, and I am not supposed to feel this way with Rich.
At first, I wanted to stop dancing and run off to my table, but after giving it a second thought, I agreed that would be a silly act. I have always known Rich and at a point, I had begged him to come and marry me so it was not out of place to have some butterflies when I am this close to him.
So I know what I am going to do. I know the right thing to do in this circumstance. I am going to let myself be completely free and roam around, lost in his world, and then enjoy the fun for tonight.
VIOLET’S POV
I smiled mischievously as I watched the dance between the duo. My instincts have always been right and I wonder why I had not taken it seriously.
But I would need more than a mere dance to convince Jake of her infidelity. She had brought him to Black Moon in the disguise of her trainer just to continue her flirtatious affair with him.
As the dance progressed, Rich held on tightly to her, and she placed her head on his chest. There is no way that this would be their first time dancing, and she had probably raised the issue about dancing just to deceive me and make me believe that she had never danced or had any form of intimacy with him.
However, now I am glad at what I am seeing. I am beginning to see the possible places that I would have to look at if I am to succeed at bringing her down.
But then, I might not even have to go through such pain to achieve my aim. Here at Deluxe Delight is open with plenty of attendants watching over our table and making it impossible for me to accomplish my mission. But that would not be the case in the cinema where I could discreetly spill the substance into her food and no one would notice or suspect anything.
I smiled again, this was becoming easier than I had anticipated.
