He rolled his eyes and stood up ” You can cry all you want but let me tell you one thing Rhoda; you can never chase me out of your life this time no matter how hard you try, just know you won’t be succeeding”.
“And for your information, get ready because soon I would be coming to pick you up as you would start staying in the Darkmoon’s pack as the future Luna and my mate so the earlier you get used to this, the better and easier for the both of us” he said and bent down pecking my lips.
cold shiver ran through my veins and I pushed his face away from mine facing the other side of the bed to hide my reddened face. He gave out a soft chuckle and left the room shutting the door loudly behind him.
“Rose!!! I called looking up at her as she sighed pulling me to her chest. “Where is Luca? I asked and she sighed again.
“I think Jayden already broke the news to him as we saw him leaving the room with tears dripping down his eyes”.
Arrrghhh!!!!! I don’t want to be 18 again!!!, I don’t want to leave Luca!!! I don’t want to be Jayden’s mate!! I don’t want this life!!! I screamed pulling the spreadsheet away from my body and fell to the ground wailing loudly.
“It’s ok Rhoda, it’s ok stop crying just pull yourself together and face the reality” she said consoling me.
ONE WEEK LATER….
“Mom you know I love Luca and you can’t be possibly telling me to leave him because he wasn’t my mate, I can’t go with Jayden mother!!!” I yelled frustratedly, stomping the stairs and rushing into my room.
I shut the door tightly and slumped on my bed letting out the wail stucked in my throat.
Jayden!!! I hate you so much and even if I follow you to your house, I would never give myself to you and I would never accept you. I hate you with my blood.
“Baby open the door” my Mom begged knocking lightly on the door. “Rhoda there’s nothing you can do, you can’t reject him Rhoda.
“Jayden would soon become the Darkmoon’s Alpha and if you dare reject him, they won’t hesitate to kill you Rhoda. Don’t do that my child please you know you are all I have and I can’t let you endanger your life.
“Go away mother for I won’t open this door, just go and tell him to go to hell because I would never become his mate” I said sniffing.
“He is your mate so you have to open the door let me help you pack up” she said her voice breaking down and I gently stood up going to the door and unlocked it because I would never allow my mother shed tears because of me.
She hugged me immediately the door opened sobbing gently. She took me by the hand leading me towards the bed.
“Mom I can’t bear this!! This is too much for me to handle mummy” I wailed gripping her cloth as I whimpered.
“It’s alright my baby, I know you would be fine because you’ve always been a strong girl since childhood my love so this you shall also pull through” she said stroking my back in a comforting manner.
“Come on go shower let me pack your bags or would you me want me to bath you baby?” She smiled already trying to get up.
“Come on mom you know you can’t do that. Bath me? Hahaha that’s crazy” I said laughing a bit.
“What’s crazy about that? I’m your mother Rhoda and I gave birth to you, bath you from infact till you grew of age so what’s there to hide from your mother precious daughter?” She asked pretending to wipe imaginary tears off her eyes.
“Mom I’m not hiding anything from you but bathing me, hahaha that’s funny to me so just help me pack my things” I said walking into the bathroom.
I wasn’t in the mood for bathtub so I just walked into the shower cubicle after peeling off my clothes and as the water dripped down into my hair and further down my body, I sighed tiredly. I’m only doing this because of my mother.
I can’t believe I’m leaving my father’s house to go live in Darkmoon park house as the future Luna.
This wasn’t the life I planned for myself, it wasn’t what I wanted for myself and having to sleep and eat with the the man I hate in the same house is worse more than death and I would have chosen death if not for my mother.
I came out of the shower wrapped in a towel, I glanced at the bed and saw the cloth my mother picked out for me.
I walked towards the dresser, picked up my cream and applied on my wet skin. I dressed up and sat on my bed.
I can’t believe this would be the last time sitting on this bed. I sighed and uncapped a bottled water I took from the mini freezer and gulped it down.
I’m just going to live with him because of my parents, to protect them from his people’s wrath, if not for that, I wouldn’t think twice before rejecting him.
I’ve talked to Luca and explained things to him, it was pretty hard on him but he had understood after I explained the plans I plotted.
I was going to frustrate Jayden till he rejects me so I’ll go back to Luca.
I descend the stairway going down to the sitting room which my luggages.
I got down and my eye met with Jayden who was seated on a single seater couch his eyes pinned on his phone and as though on impulse or maybe he smelt me, he lifted up his eyes pinning them on me or should I say assessing me.
I rolled my eyes as each step i took, his eyes followed me. “You will keep staring at me till your eyes bulge out of their sockets” I glared at him and he smirked.
Mother fvckin smirk. I dropped my luggage and went into the kitchen to meet my mother. “Mom I’m ready” I uttered and she turned pulling me into a hug.
“My father had gone for a business and Mudy had gone back to school. My mom, Mary and I are the only people at home.
It pained me as I was going to leave my mother to stay in a complete strange home.
“It would be difficult for me to cope in that strange home mother” I muttered sadly and she wiped my tears.
It will be alright my dear. don’t worry you might end up falling in love with him” she replied and I scoffed. “That would only happen in a thousand years to come” I muttered and she smiled and held my hands.
“Don’t be so sure Rhoda, you never can tell and he is your mate and the bond is there, in as much as you don’t like him now, you would eventually love him Rhoda” she smiled pulling me in a hug one last time and I looked up to see a drop of tear escape from her eyes.
I sighed and walked dejectedly out and entered the sitting room and pulled took my handbag going outside the house ignoring his words for I’m definitely sure Luca would be my mate and I don’t need him to spoil my mood.
“You can stay there if you want or you come take me to the fvcking place I would be living” I shrieked when I had gotten to the door and he was still seated his eyes pinned on his phone.
He stood up and I rolled my eyes at him walking out of the house.
I got to where he packed his car and stopped as I waited for him to open the door. He came out and on opening the door, I entered the car and fastened my seatbelt.
He got in and glanced at me “Are you okay? He asked and I rolled my eyes ignoring him and brought out my phone to text Luca.
He stared at me for a while before igniting the engine and driving out of my house and pack towards his pack.
