Chapter 197: Fixing the Computer!

After staring for a good while, Myra bowed deeply to Kayden, a full 90 degrees, and said sincerely, “Thank you!”
Kayden merely glanced at her, not replying, and coldly walked past her.
Myra was stunned. She thought, “Is he really that cold? Not even giving me a look? I’m a pretty girl, after all, and he’s treating me like I’m invisible! This… this is a bit much!”
But then again, if he had responded, she might have lost interest. This perfectly matched the cold CEO type from the novels she read. At that moment, she became even more infatuated with Kayden. Strong, handsome, and aloof – he was too cool.
“Stop right there!” Lowell wiped away his tears and shouted at Kayden.
He turned to Leah and said, “You say you like his type. If I beat him, will you agree to be my girlfriend?”
Leah hesitated, then said, “Give it up. You’ll never beat him, not in this lifetime.”
Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, Lowell approached Kayden. Being slightly taller, he looked down at Kayden and said angrily, “I challenge you to a fight.”
Kayden frowned. He really didn’t want to stay any longer. Fighting Dominic was one thing, but fighting a student? How embarrassing. So he barked at Lowell, “Get lost!”
That single word made Lowell tremble from head to toe.
Without even a second glance, Kayden walked past Lowell. Throughout the entire exchange, Lowell didn’t dare to breathe. Everyone had expected a showdown, but Lowell had backed down so quickly!
Watching Kayden’s figure disappear into the garden, Lowell cried out defiantly, “Just you wait! In ten years, I’ll definitely beat you!”
With that, he ran away from the crowd in tears.
Everyone was speechless! For such a big guy to be such a coward – Leah could never like Lowell in this lifetime.
Myra looked up, searching for Kayden, ready to chase after him, but Leah held her back. Instead of pursuing Kayden, she turned her gaze to the stunned Dillon. “Well? Dillon, do you submit?”
The sudden question made Dillon jump. He was shocked to his core. In his world, Dominic had been the strongest, but this guy was even stronger, and not just by a little. If Leah could call on someone like this, he didn’t dare say anything more, no matter his connections. Swallowing hard, he stammered, “I… I submit!”
“So now you agree to break up with Myra?” Leah pressed.
Dillon nodded frantically, too scared to speak.
Seeing his reaction, Leah asked, clearly displeased, “Haven’t you forgotten something? If you don’t remember, I can remind you, or even show you how it’s done!”
Dillon’s whole body trembled. He swallowed again and asked in a shaky voice, “H-here?”
“Unless you’d prefer the bathroom?” Leah’s words hit the mark, her gaze sharp as a knife.
Dillon didn’t dare argue anymore. After a moment’s hesitation, he called out to the watching students, “I’m scum! I’m scum! I’m scum!”
His cries were met with laughter, and many people pulled out their phones to record videos. Dillon’s disgrace spread quickly throughout the school, and Leah’s reputation soared along with it.
After Dominic was defeated, Leah’s name was on everyone’s lips. She quickly became the talk of the school, known to all.
After leaving the garden, Kayden wandered aimlessly through the streets. It was indeed beneath his dignity as Seclela’s God of War to engage in street brawls. But Kayden didn’t care about such hollow reputations. No one dared to judge his actions.
As he walked, his phone suddenly rang. It was an unknown number. He hesitated for a moment out of habit, then answered. There was silence on the other end. Kayden wasn’t in the habit of speaking first to someone who didn’t talk.
After a long silence, the person on the other end finally broke.
It was an old man’s laugh, cold and eerie, as if coming from some vast, mysterious place.
“Who are you?” Kayden asked coldly, his voice devoid of emotion.
“You’ll find out soon enough!” With that, the caller hung up.
It was an old man’s voice, sounding rather strange. Kayden examined the number, then called Greedy Wolf, briefly instructing him to trace the call before hanging up.
A subtle unease began to grow in Kayden’s heart. Compared to the bustling city, the battlefield was more straightforward and brutal – there, the strong could act as they pleased, without worrying about the complexities of human nature and the intricacies of schemes. But in the city, things were different. The cunning of people’s hearts and the organization behind them – the group capable of wielding flood-like destructive power – held too many unpredictable variables. Kayden was observing carefully, looking for ways to expose this organization. He knew that only by completely destroying it could he root it out.
Kayden wasn’t afraid of human cunning; what worried him was not being able to find those hiding behind the scenes. Once he found his targets, he was ready to issue kill orders at any time.
With just one word from him, no one in Seclela would dare disobey.
As he was lost in thought, his phone rang again. He took it out and saw it was Georgia calling. He answered without hesitation, and Georgia’s voice came through. “Kayden, how did things go? My computer’s having some issues. Could you come to the company and take a look at it?”
Fix a computer? Kayden felt a bit helpless. As Seclela’s God of War, he had already helped Georgia’s sister, and now he was being asked to fix her computer. Despite this, he didn’t refuse, simply responding, “Alright, I’ll be right there.”
Georgia arrived at the company in high spirits after enjoying her breakfast.
Last night’s experience had left her in a good mood. Although she and Kayden hadn’t gone further, sharing a bed and having some interesting moments was already a big step forward for her. At least their relationship had become closer.
However, thinking back on her hesitation last night, she felt a bit foolish. Today, she was determined to adjust her mindset. Tonight, she would definitely go through with it – after all, it was something they would have to face sooner or later.
At this thought, Georgia’s cheeks flushed red. She chided herself, “What am I thinking? How can I be preoccupied with such things at work? Am I really that kind of person? Absolutely not! I won’t become that kind of woman!”
She lightly tapped her forehead, lost in thought. Just then, a woman carrying a folder walked in. It was the female secretary that Jamie had his eye on.
“Ms. Adams, are you feeling alright? If you’re unwell, perhaps you should go to the hospital for a check-up,” the secretary asked with concern, noticing Georgia’s flushed and embarrassed expression.
Georgia let out a small gasp, snapping back to reality. As if her thoughts had been exposed, her face and neck turned even redder. She awkwardly responded, “I’m fine. Is there something you need?”
The secretary, looking half-convinced, handed over the folder. “There’s a document here that needs to be backed up on your computer. Once it’s done, I can submit it.”
“Alright.” Georgia took the folder, but when she tried to turn on her computer, it wouldn’t start. With no other option, she decided to call Kayden for help, knowing that with his vast knowledge, he would surely know how to handle computer issues.
