Dominic stood with his arms crossed, facing Kayden with a cool demeanor. He sneered, “Big words from a little man!”
Before he could finish his sentence, a resounding slap landed on Dominic’s cheek. The blow came so suddenly that Dominic was completely caught off guard, unable to react at all.
Kayden was still two meters away from him. It was baffling!
Dominic clutched his cheek, confusion written all over his face.
Then came another slap, just as unexpected as the first. Despite Kayden’s unhurried movements, Dominic couldn’t dodge. He could only watch helplessly as Kayden’s hand came towards him, frozen in place, unable to respond as the palm connected with his face.
The second slap sent Dominic staggering back a few steps.
The two crisp slaps left Dominic’s cheeks red and swollen. His lackeys stood dumbfounded. This wasn’t like Dominic at all. Why wasn’t he fighting back?
Dillon was equally perplexed. This was too much – Dominic had just taken two slaps without resistance. He tried to reassure himself and thought, “I get it, Dominic must be holding back on purpose. He must have a plan.”
No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than something even more shocking happened. Kayden strode forward, grabbed Dominic’s long beard, and snarled, “Scum like you dare to be called Dominant King?”
Before Dominic could react, Kayden yanked hard, ripping the beard clean off his face.
“Argh!” Dominic let out an agonized scream, collapsing to the ground as blood streamed from his chin where the beard had been. The sight was so gruesome that even the onlookers winced in sympathy.
“My beard! My beard!” Dominic wailed, nearly in tears.
But Kayden wasn’t done. He raised his hand and lifted Dominic off the ground.
He literally picked him up, as if Dominic were nothing more than a chicken. Despite Dominic’s considerable bulk – he must have weighed at least 180 pounds – this man who couldn’t have weighed more than 140 pounds lifted him with one hand.
It was terrifying! Absolutely terrifying!
Everyone held their breath, gasping in shock!
The burly Dominic looked as helpless as a newborn in Kayden’s grasp, completely powerless.
Dangling in Kayden’s grip, Dominic could only whimper pathetically.
Then, Kayden clenched his fist. With a single punch, Dominic was sent flying at least ten meters. He managed to lift his head once, defiantly, before losing consciousness.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Kayden moved with fluid grace. The once-mighty Dominic had been utterly defeated without landing a single blow.
The onlookers were stunned. They couldn’t comprehend what they’d just witnessed. It was like watching a fixed boxing match. In front of this man, Dominic had been completely immobilized, left defenseless. Dominic – the infamous, unbeatable Dominic! It defied everything they thought they knew.
Everyone was shocked, including Leah herself. She knew Kayden could fight, but she never imagined he was this formidable. If Kayden wasn’t her brother-in-law, she might have run up to confess her love right then and there.
How could she not fall for someone so dominant? After all, she had always admired strength, and here was the strongest man she had ever seen, right by her side. It was exhilarating!
As Dominic lay sprawled on the ground, his gang rushed to him, calling his name.
Dominic was out cold. His brothers hurriedly tried to prop him up, turning to Kayden with murderous glares. “You… you… how dare you lay a hand on Dominic King! Do you have any idea who he is?”
Kayden remained silent, frowning at the motley crew.
One of the lackeys snarled, “Dominic is working for the Razor Kings. You’ve messed with the Razor Kings now. They won’t let you off easy.”
Clearly, this lackey was bluffing, or Dominic had been lying to them. Men of their caliber wouldn’t even qualify for the Razor Kings. Even Cheetah and his crew, whom Kayden had eliminated, weren’t good enough for the Razor Kings.
“What? Do you want to fight too? If so, bring it on!” Kayden took a step forward.
Seeing that their threats had no effect, they hefted Dominic and fled in the blink of an eye.
Soon, only Dillon was left standing opposite Kayden. He wanted to run, but those piercing eyes paralyzed him. His legs had turned to jelly.
“Oh my god, Leah, your friend is amazing! Does he have a girlfriend? I think I’ve fallen for him. He’s so domineering! That’s exactly my type – the powerful CEO type.” Myra gazed at Kayden adoringly, her chin resting on her hands. She felt like she was already in love.
Leah frowned. “Weren’t you all just saying he was useless? Mocking him non-stop? What’s with the sudden change of heart?”
Myra giggled. “I misjudged him. I should have known you wouldn’t let us down. So, does he have a girlfriend? I’m single now, you know. Why don’t you introduce us?”
Hearing this, Leah panicked. “No way! He’s my… ” She paused, swallowed hard, and then said, “He’s my boyfriend!”
Her voice was soft, barely audible to those around her.
Lowell’s face fell at her words. He asked in disbelief, “How is that possible? Leah, I thought you were single?”
Leah licked her lips. “Well, not anymore. He’s my boyfriend. Why else would he come fight for me? So, Lowell, you might as well give up. I’m not interested in someone like you.”
This was why Leah hadn’t mentioned that Kayden was her brother-in-law. Kayden was impressive enough to crush their hopes, especially someone like Lowell who had pursued her relentlessly for three years.
Lowell felt his world crumbling around him. Tears welled up in his eyes, spilling over before he could stop them.
Seeing this, Myra quickly tried to console him. “Don’t worry, Lowell. I’ll try to steal him away.”
With that, Myra walked over to Kayden. She stopped in front of him, her big eyes fixed on his face. Where there had been doubt before, now there was only admiration.
