Chapter 198: You’re Always Perfect in My Heart!

Before long, Kayden arrived at the Adams Group building. Since the incident where the old employee had knelt before him, many people now recognized Kayden, so he made his way to Georgia’s office without any hindrance.
“You’re here!” Georgia said softly, swallowing hard as she saw Kayden.
Kayden nodded, getting straight to the point. “Where’s the problem?”
“Come take a look,” Georgia said, standing up to let Kayden examine the computer.
As she stood, Kayden noticed that Georgia was wearing tight blue jeans and a white shirt. The shirt wasn’t unusual, but the jeans certainly were. Typically, Georgia dressed in high heels and professional OL attire, looking every bit the cold female CEO. But today, she had come to the office dressed like this.
It wasn’t that she looked bad – with Georgia’s figure, she would look top-tier in anything. The jeans accentuated her curves perfectly. She wore them with such grace that she looked like a supermodel, outshining any professional fashion model. If Georgia were to model these jeans, they would surely become a bestseller.
Noticing Kayden’s gaze on her jeans, Georgia deliberately stretched out her leg and touched it, asking, “What’s wrong? Don’t I look good in these jeans? Or is there something on my foot?”
Kayden averted his gaze, saying, “It’s nothing. You look great. But… why are you dressed like this?”
In his memory, Georgia had never dressed like this before, not even for casual outings, let alone at the office. So seeing Georgia like this was quite unexpected for Kayden.
Georgia hesitated for a few seconds, then smiled and replied, “Because it makes me look younger!”
Indeed, this outfit added a youthful vibrancy to Georgia’s usually cool demeanor. Kayden nodded slightly, saying nothing more as he quietly walked over to the computer.
Georgia felt a bit deflated. Kayden really was clueless when it came to these things!
After he had been tinkering with the computer for a while, Georgia looked around and, after some consideration, suddenly asked cautiously, “By the way, who do you think is prettier, me or my sister?”
This was actually Georgia’s true concern. The reason she had worn these jeans today was entirely because of Kayden. His unusual behavior with Leah last night, and the note he had left this morning – both related to Leah – had planted a seed of doubt in her mind. She wondered if Kayden might prefer someone younger, more youthful, like Leah.
It wasn’t that she was jealous of her sister, nor was she trying to please Kayden. She just felt that it was necessary to nurture their relationship as a married couple. Maintaining a sense of freshness in front of Kayden, giving him a renewed feeling, was a way to strengthen their bond.
“Hm?” Kayden let out a questioning sound, pausing his work and turning his gaze to Georgia’s face.
Seeing Kayden’s expression, Georgia felt guilty, as if caught in the act. She quickly waved her hands, saying, “No, no, that’s not what I meant. I just wanted your opinion. Many people say my sister is very beautiful too, so I was just wondering who you think is prettier.”
Kayden frowned, answering concisely, “You two are both attractive.”
“No, that’s not what I meant. I’m asking specifically, who’s prettier! There must be some degree, right? For example, how many points would you give me, and how many to my sister?”
“You’re beautiful!” These words were somewhat perfunctory, but it was Kayden’s most honest opinion. In Kayden’s mind, there were only two categories of women’s appearances: Georgia, and everyone else.
Beauty wasn’t something he particularly focused on. He had spent the first half of his life embroiled in warfare and the problem of life and death. So he didn’t have a special concept of beauty, unless… unless the woman could touch his heart.
Georgia was such a fortunate woman, having successfully entered Kayden’s heart.
“In my heart, you always get the full mark,” Kayden added those heartwarming words after his initial response.
Georgia’s face instantly turned red. She bit her lip, shyly saying, “Oh, stop it! I never thought you’d be such a smooth talker.”
She almost added, “But I like it!”
Just as Georgia was about to say something more, a man wearing leather shoes suddenly walked in from outside, interrupting their conversation. The man appeared to be in his forties, quite plump, but with neatly combed hair. He wore glasses and a black suit, immediately identifiable as someone of status and position.
“Ms. Adams, this is Mr. Carrick from Tripod Bank, as per your appointment,” Georgia’s secretary, the woman assigned by her grandmother to monitor her actions, introduced the man, her gaze occasionally sizing up Ferris.
Ferris was the head of Tripod Bank in Hiphia, a notable figure who had once made waves throughout Seclela’s financial world.
At twenty, he had returned from studying abroad, refusing a lucrative offer to stay in Zlando and instead choosing to return to the small Hiphia to pursue his ambitions. Since then, numerous headhunters had failed to lure him away. He had become a role model for many young people in Hiphia, a topic of conversation, and even an idol for many successful individuals.
During that time, there had been a popular trend of returning home to develop one’s career.
Hearing this introduction, Georgia was visibly stunned. She blinked repeatedly, looking at Ferris in disbelief. This was a legend, and the opportunity to converse with such a person face-to-face seemed almost unreal. Georgia had indeed called the bank, expressing her desire to discuss obtaining some working capital.
Now, with the company’s money having vanished, she needed to find ways to fill this gap. For a company of this size, a sudden break in cash flow could have unimaginable consequences.
She swallowed hard, quickly stepping forward and stammering, “Hello, Mr. Carrick! I never imagined you’d come in person. Please… please, have a seat.”
Seeing Georgia, Ferris was also inwardly surprised. He had heard that Georgia was beautiful, the most beautiful woman in Hiphia, but he hadn’t expected her to be this stunning. With such beauty, she could easily be considered the most beautiful woman not just in Hiphia, but in all of Inassea.
Despite his shock, he didn’t show it, maintaining a cool demeanor. He merely grunted in acknowledgment before walking to the sofa and sitting down nonchalantly.
Georgia hurriedly poured him tea, bustling about like a servant.
“That’s enough, you may go,” Ferris waved dismissively at Lara, his tone commanding.
Lara responded with a “Yes” and quietly left, not forgetting to close the door behind her.
As soon as Lara came out, several women from the company quickly gathered around her, asking, “Lara, was that really Ferris, the head of Tripod Bank in Hiphia?”
Lara nodded without hesitation, “Yes, it’s indeed Ferris.”
“Wow! It really is Ferris! I can’t believe I just saw him in person. I’m so excited!” One woman cupped her face in her hands, looking utterly starstruck.
“Excited? As if you’d ever have a chance with him! He’s a top-tier figure in Seclela’s financial world. To put it crudely, he deals with money all day long,” Lara immediately extinguished the infatuated woman’s excitement.
