The dusky night permeated the yard as she looked out of the window. Orangey light streamed out of the street lamps in the yard, looking lonesome and quiet.
Rosiley looked at his profound and handsome face, her eyes unusually bright.
“I’d like to bear the burden with you,” she said softly.
“I’d like to bear the burden with you.”
Her words were like a rock thrown into the calm and unruffled lake of his heart, triggering ripples again and again.
Staring intently at her serious little face, he stretched out his arms to take her in his embrace, unable to control his ardor.
Rosiley lifted her chin and looked straight into his blazing black eyes, a gentle smile appearing on her lips. “Sachin, are you willing to let me know everything about you?”
“Yes, I’m willing.” Whispering sweet nothings to her, he kissed her on the lips.
He tenderly and ardently sucked the buds of her lips, his strong, powerful arms clasping her firmly.
Rosiley gazed intently at his handsome brows and eyes, her heart full of surging emotions. She slowly closed her eyes to experience his tenderness and love.
They kissed each other, lost in passion. The temperature in the study gradually rose, intimate and ardent.
…
In another corner of the city, the nightlife had just begun.
Ying Xiaoxiao walked into a bar that was playing deafening music. The lights were mesmerizing. People gathered in threes and fives, joking and conversing in the lively atmosphere.
She sat down casually at the bar and asked for a cocktail. She took the glass in her hand and glanced sideways to look at everything around her.
She caught sight of only unfamiliar faces, making her feel even more lonely.
Rosiley was married and Yayoi had a boyfriend. She was left all alone by herself.
She took a light sip of the cocktail, a hint of self-mockery flashing in her eyes. Actually, she had a boyfriend. It was just that…
He was a fake.
When she recalled the scene of him rescuing Rosiley, she felt depressed and stifled inside. She felt really awful.
She downed a mouthful of the cocktail. Although she knew what his relationship with Rosiley was, she was unable to control her jealousy.
Perhaps it was because he had treated Rosiley so gently and been so anxious over her.
A bitter smile appeared at the corners of her lips. She wished that he could be more gentle to her.
But she knew it would be very difficult.
She finished the cocktail in one gulp and asked for another. A sharp, sobbing voice rang out. “In what ways am I inferior to her? How dare you treat me like that!”
It was followed by a firm male voice saying, “You can’t compare with her in any way. Please stop pestering me.”
“A relationship dispute?” Ying Xiaoxiao raised her slender brows slightly and turned to look in the direction of the voice.
She saw a tall, pretty woman staring at a man opposite her with tears in her eyes. She looked so pitiful that even a woman like herself felt for her.
Unfortunately, her boyfriend was a hard-hearted man and remained unmoved. He embraced another woman beside her, lowering his head to plant a smack on the latter’s lips.
Then he raised his head provocatively and stared at the tall woman. She was so furious that her lovely eyes bulged. She had clearly not expected the man to do this.
“Halle Mitchell, you’d better retain a bit of dignity and get out of here.”
It was the affected voice of the woman in his arms.
Ying Xiaoxiao frowned. “Are side chicks nowadays all so insolent?”
The tall woman, who had been called Halle Mitchell by the other woman, strode forward and waved a hand at her.
“Smack!”
