After Rosiley left, Corey turned his head and glared unhappily at Ying Xiaoxiao. “Dear Miss Ying, did you mean to insult me when you called me a knight rescuing a damsel in distress?”
Ying Xiaoxiao stared intently at him and did not answer. She merely changed the subject and said, “Corey, come and have a drink with me.”
Corey was startled but soon recovered. He rejected her directly. “I’m not going. I’m very busy.”
A trace of dejection flashed across her eyes. Ying Xiaoxiao pretended to be unaffected and shrugged. “Then forget it.”
He had thought that she would pester him and make him drink with her. He had not expected her to give up so easily.
This made Corey very unhappy. He moved his lips and wanted to say something, but saw her not looking at him, her shoulder brushing past his.
For some reason, a tinge of displeasure arose from the bottom of his heart.
He turned around and saw her get into her own car, start the engine and drive away. He was left standing there like a fool.

When Rosiley got home, Auntie Wu was still preparing supper, so she went upstairs and changed into comfortable house clothes to help out in the kitchen.
The moment she saw her, Auntie Wu gave an affectionate smile. “Young Madam, I can handle everything alone. Go out and watch TV. When Young Master comes back, it will be time for supper.”
“It’s okay, Auntie Wu. I will help you out and pick up some culinary skills along the way.” Rosiley winked mischievously at Auntie Wu. She picked up a basket containing some picked vegetables, walked to the sink, and started rinsing them.
Seeing her being so persistent, Auntie Wu smiled and said no more.
Rosiley helped Auntie Wu prepare supper. Sachin happened to come back at this moment.
Hearing some movement from the porch, Rosiley quickly left the bowls casually on the dining table and ran out.
Sachin had put on house slippers. When he looked up, he found his beloved wife standing there in an apron and smiling at him gently.
There was a tremor in his heart. He walked over and asked softly, “You’re helping Auntie Wu again?”
“Yes.” Rosiley nodded and took the briefcase in his hand. “Go upstairs and change your clothes, then come down for supper.”
“Okay.” Sachin kissed her forehead gently, then walked past her up the stairs.
Rosiley raised her hand and touched her forehead where he had just kissed it. A sweet, blissful smile appeared at the corners of her lips.
When Sachin changed his clothes and got down, he saw Auntie Wu showing a man in.
He furrowed his brows. “Why are you here?”
The man bowed his head respectfully. “Eldest Young Master, the chairman has a message for you.”
Sachin narrowed his eyes and there was a hint of fierceness in them. “I’m not interested in what he says. You can leave.”
Saying that, he turned around and was about to enter the dining room when he heard the man say, “Eldest Young Master, the chairman said that the Lu Family cannot suffer such humiliation. He asked you to let Fourth Young Master off.”
“So he has come for Calvin Lu! That old man really cares about Calvin Lu and his brother!”
Sachin said with a derisive smile, “Go back and tell him I won’t let Calvin Lu off. He must pay for the wrongs he has done.”
“The chairman also said, if you won’t spare Fourth Young Master, he will disregard his father-and-son relationship with you.”
“Disregard his father-and-son relationship with me?” Sachin burst out laughing. So it turned out that the old man still thought they had a father-and-son relationship.
“Go back and tell him he can do whatever he likes.” Sachin threw a cold glance at the visitor and then left, stalking away.
Auntie Wu had come to take care of Sachin from the Lu Family, so she knew a little about their family feud.
She sighed softly and said to the visitor sent by the Old Master. “Go back. Young Master won’t change his mind just because of a word from the Old Master.”
Even she knew her Young Master’s temperament, so why didn’t the Old Master understand? He was always making his son do things he didn’t like. No wonder their relationship was deteriorating.
It would have been great if Old Madam was alive.
When she thought of this, Auntie Wu sighed heavily.
