Chapter 2248: Will You Fight Him First?

“Not bad, quite brave!” An elderly voice rang out.
Soon, forty to fifty figures emerged from the front, led by a red-haired elder.
“You don’t seem to be from the Nether Clan, do you?” Jennifer looked at the leader and said, “State your name!”
“Starry Palace, James Olsen!” the red-haired elder responded.
After speaking, he turned to Billy. “If I’m not mistaken, you must be Billy?”
“Your information network is quite impressive,” Billy replied calmly.
“Isn’t this the outcome you wanted?” James Olsen continued. “You must have deliberately exposed your whereabouts to prevent us from sending more people to Silent Ruins Sky Realm.”
“Congratulations, you guessed right!” Billy shrugged.
“I admire your courage, coming to The Wilderness and exposing yourself like this,” James Olsen said again. “Do you really think no one here can take you down?”
“Enough talk. If you’re going to fight, do it quickly!” Billy glanced at him. “If not, make way!”
“Kill!” James Olsen waved his hand.
Forty to fifty people charged at them simultaneously.
“Fools!”
In the next moment, Jennifer wielded her staff, creating an arc of cold light that swept through the attackers.
Most of them were below Prime Source Realm and were no match for Jennifer. After the cold light passed, a dozen people were sent flying, lifeless in mid-air.
Billy didn’t remain idle either. His wild blade released a dozen blade lights.
With his bloodline power activated, his cultivation had reached seventh-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm. Even a casual strike from his wild blade could kill a first-rank Prime Source Realm opponent.
In just a few blinks of an eye, a dozen people fell from the sky.
“Die!” James Olsen roared as a massive fireball lit up half the sky and came roaring toward them.
Midway through its path, a blade light sliced through it, causing the fireball to explode and the void to collapse.
To James Olsen’s horror, the blade light continued unabated, piercing through his body.
“How… how is this possible…” James Olsen muttered before collapsing, disbelief etched on his face.
“Elder James has been killed! Run!” The remaining dozen people fled toward the city.
Jennifer flipped her wrist, and a wave of energy from her staff sent a second-rank Prime Source Realm elder flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
Jennifer clearly intended to leave someone alive for questioning, so she didn’t kill him outright. However, his combat strength was reduced to less than thirty percent.
Soon, Billy and Jennifer approached the elder.
“Answer a few questions and you may live,” Jennifer said.
“What… what do you want to know…”
“Are there any Nether Clan members in Desert City?”
“Yes…”
“Who specifically? What’s their cultivation level?”
Before he could respond, four formidable auras swept in from the city, suffocating the entire void.
“Be careful!” Jennifer frowned slightly.
As she spoke, Billy moved, releasing a blade light.
A loud explosion followed as the blade light clashed with an incoming attack, both shattering. Billy retreated a hundred meters without injury.
“Impressive!”
A slightly hoarse voice spoke as four figures-two men and two women-descended from the sky. The speaker was a black-robed elder leading them.
From their auras, it was clear none were weak: two second-rank Prime Source Realm, one third-rank, and one fourth-rank.
“Vice Sovereign…” The previously injured elder looked at the black-robed elder and spoke with difficulty.
“Take him back for treatment,” the black-robed elder frowned slightly.
“Understood!” One of the second-rank Prime Source Realm elders landed and helped the injured elder fly back toward the city.
“No Nether Clan members came?” Billy asked the black-robed elder calmly.
“If you want to see Nether Clan members, you’ll have to get past us first,” said Turner Olsen, the black-robed elder.
He then turned to Jennifer. “I’ve heard there’s another skilled person in Silent Ruins Sky Realm besides Sanaa. That must be you?”
“I’m curious, who exactly are you?”
“A nobody,” Jennifer replied.
“Unwilling to say?” Turner Olsen continued. “You must have come from The Wilderness to Silent Ruins Sky Realm. Otherwise, that place couldn’t have produced someone with your skills.”
“Guess,” Jennifer said.
“No matter who you are, I advise you not to meddle in The Wilderness affairs. You’ll regret it…” Turner Olsen warned.
“You can’t stop us. Call more people if you need to,” Jennifer replied dismissively.
“If it were just you, I wouldn’t be confident in stopping you,” Turner Olsen said, pointing at Billy. “But are you sure you can protect him against the three of us?”
Billy thought to himself: Do I look that weak?
“How about this? You fight him first? I promise not to intervene,” Jennifer suggested, exasperatedly glancing at Turner Olsen.
“Haha, do you think he-a fourth-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm-can survive against me?” Turner Olsen scoffed.
“I don’t know!” Jennifer shook her head. “I also want to see if he can protect himself. Give it a try?”
“Haha, why not!” Turner Olsen laughed coldly and looked at Billy. “Follow me. If you can last three rounds against me, I concede!”
He then flew into the air.
“Alright!” Billy replied and followed him up.
“Don’t hold back; kill him directly!” Jennifer added.
The other two were momentarily stunned. Was she talking to Billy or Turner Olsen?
They had heard of Billy’s impressive combat abilities, capable of challenging several levels above his own!
But Turner Olsen was an entire major realm higher. They weren’t on the same level at all; how could Billy be a match?
Soon, Billy and Turner Olsen were high in the sky.
“You go first,” Turner Olsen said to Billy. “Give it your all; I don’t have much patience.”
“Alright!” Billy responded.
Without further ado, he flashed forward and unleashed a Phantom Blade Technique, tearing open the void.
“Hmm?” Sensing the power of this strike, Turner Olsen’s pupils contracted slightly.
No time to think; he immediately raised his hand to form a seal to block it.
A loud explosion echoed as the void cracked inch by inch. Turner Olsen was blasted a thousand meters away, spitting out blood.
His face showed disbelief mixed with seriousness. After just one move, he realized he had severely underestimated Billy. This was an opponent who could truly challenge him!
More importantly, his hasty defense had left him injured, reducing his combat strength by at least twenty percent.
“Take another strike. If you survive, I’ll let you live!” Before Turner Olsen could catch his breath, Billy attacked again.
The previous strike had confirmed something for him!
As his cultivation advanced to mid-to-late Supreme Ancestry Realm, the Phantom Blade Technique’s advantage in challenging higher levels weakened. In the past, that strike would have killed his opponent.
But now, it only caused minor injuries.
He estimated that the Phantom Blade Technique could now challenge only three or four levels higher at most. The wild blade’s enhancement played a significant role in injuring his opponent earlier.
As he spoke, another blade light descended from the sky, leaving behind a trail of afterimages.
The entire void seemed split in two, revealing a thousand-meter-long dark rift filled with dark matter.
As this blade light formed, fierce winds howled and lightning flashed across the sky, dimming significantly.
Judging by this momentum alone, its power surpassed that of the Phantom Blade Technique.
Clearly, Billy had now activated ‘Heaven Killer’!
