“Hmm?!”
This time, Turner Olsen’s pupils shrank to the size of a needle’s eye, enveloped by a dense aura of death. He knew that even at his peak, he couldn’t withstand this strike. However, the ‘Heaven Killer’ blade technique had a range of several kilometers, and he couldn’t escape it.
“Vice Sovereign, retreat!” Two elders from the Starry Palace shouted from the ground. They wanted to help but knew they couldn’t save him, and any move they made would provoke Jennifer.
In mid-air, Turner Olsen, with no other choice, mustered all his strength and punched at the blade light. The massive fist shadow shattered upon contact, dissipating instantly. The blade light paused briefly before slicing through his body.
“What… what kind of blade technique is this…” Turner Olsen managed to utter a word before his body split in two, his face filled with disbelief. He was the second strongest in the Starry Palace, a fourth-rank Prime Source Realm cultivator, one of the top figures in The Wilderness before the nether clan’s unsealing. He had hoped to rely on the nether clan to return to the seventh-rank star domain. But now he was dead, killed by a young man a whole realm lower than him! He was unwilling to accept this!
“Vice Sovereign!” The two elders of the Starry Palace shouted in grief.
“Do you want to live?” Jennifer looked at them. “Tell me what you know about the nether clan, and I might spare you.”
“What do you want to know?” The man in the blue robe asked. They both knew cooperating was their only option for survival.
“First, tell me who the nether clan stationed in Desert City is,” Jennifer demanded.
“It’s one of their eight ghost kings,” the blue-robed man replied.
“What rank?” Billy asked.
“I don’t know, but he’s stronger than our Sovereign,” the blue-robed man continued.
Before he could finish speaking, a loud noise echoed from several kilometers away, and a figure shot out from the void.
“What’s happening?” Jennifer asked, slightly stunned.
“It should be the Harmon family clashing with our Starry Palace,” the blue-robed man responded.
“The Harmon family?” Billy was puzzled.
“In The Wilderness, besides a few major sects, there are several large families, with the Harmon family being one of the strongest,” Jennifer explained. “The Harmon family in The Wilderness is a branch of the Harmon family in the seventh-rank star domain, one of the major powers there.”
“Oh?” Billy looked at the blue-robed man again. “Why is the Harmon family clashing with the Starry Palace?”
“The nether clan wants us to subdue all top ten sects and families in Desert City. The Harmon family refused, and we’ve had several conflicts with them before today,” another elder explained.
“The Harmon family in The Wilderness shouldn’t have the strength to challenge the Starry Palace, especially with the nether clan involved,” Jennifer questioned.
“I’m not entirely sure,” the elder shook his head. “But I heard that the nether clan wants something from the Harmon family, which they claim not to have. The nether clan doesn’t believe them…”
Another loud noise came from afar, and the previous figure floated several kilometers away like a leaf.
“Ma’ma, should we check it out?” Billy asked Jennifer.
“Yes!” Jennifer said and flew towards the source of the noise, with Billy following closely behind.
Soon, they arrived a few kilometers away from the battle scene and saw a figure standing in mid-air-it was the person who had been thrown earlier. Billy quickly recognized it as a soul projection. After several rounds, the projection was already fading and wouldn’t last much longer.
“Ancestor!” A white-haired elder and a middle-aged man flew over.
“Heaven wants to destroy my lineage!” The Ancestor of the Harmon family showed a look of despair.
“You’d rather face annihilation than hand over the item?” The attacker, an elder in a green robe, asked coldly. Behind him stood four men and women.
Billy assessed their cultivation levels: the attacker was at fifth-rank Prime Source Realm, while the four behind him were early Prime Source Realm.
“Mr. Olsen, do you really want to exterminate us?” Bradyn Harmon, the white-haired elder, shouted angrily.
“I don’t care about your lives; I just want that item!” Dominic Olsen, Sovereign of the Starry Palace, replied. “Hand it over, and you live; otherwise, your family will be annihilated!”
“I repeat, we don’t have that item!” Bradyn Harmon responded.
“Still unwilling to hand it over?” Dominic Olsen sneered. “Then we’ll kill your family first and search later!”
“Don’t push us too far; we’ll fight to the death!” Trent Harmon, the middle-aged man, retorted.
“Do you overestimate your Harmon family?” Dominic Olsen laughed coldly. “Even your Ancestor isn’t my match; what makes you think you can fight me?”
“Stop wasting time; I’ll hold him off for a few minutes. You take our people and leave Desert City!” The Ancestor of the Harmon family shouted and rushed towards Dominic Olsen.
“Foolish!” Dominic Olsen sneered. “A fading soul projection-what can you do to protect your people?”
As he spoke, he twisted his hand towards the Ancestor’s direction, causing the void to distort. The Ancestor’s figure stopped and became increasingly twisted and blurred.
“Die!” Dominic Olsen increased his grip strength.
“Run!” The Ancestor of the Harmon family shouted with all his might.
Before he could finish speaking, a loud noise erupted, creating a massive black hole in the void. The Ancestor of the Harmon family vanished into nothingness.
“Ancestor!” Bradyn and Trent Harmon shouted in despair. Their family’s greatest trump card was gone; the Harmon family was truly finished!
“You don’t know what’s good for you!” Dominic Olsen looked at them and waved his hand towards his four followers. “Kill them!”
“Kill!” The four men and women attacked simultaneously.
“Ma’ma, should we save them?” Billy asked Jennifer.
“Yes!” Jennifer said as she flew forward hundreds of meters.
“Alright!” Billy replied.
“Who are you two?” Dominic Olsen frowned and shouted.
“We’re here to take your life!” Jennifer said as she unleashed a powerful wave with her staff.
“Courting death!” Dominic Olsen roared and blocked with his hand, sending a massive phantom palm towards Jennifer. However, he underestimated her strength!
After a loud explosion, Dominic Olsen spat blood and flew back a thousand meters, his face filled with shock. Even more terrifying was that before he could stabilize himself, Jennifer’s second wave of attacks had already reached him. Injured as he was, he couldn’t withstand it.
Terrified for his life, he shouted loudly.
“Ghost King, save me!”
